((Maou means "Overlord", basically.))
"Hnn... right...." Achan too starts walking towards the city, and Aederin follows.
The closer and closer the group gets to the city, the farther away it seems. It appears just over the horizon, and yet as they walk, the buildings still look as small as ever.

As they make their way to the city, Kilraq makes his way discretely between the gather troops, making jokes and lifting spirits with his usual antics. But to the observent eyes, one would see his hand glow slightly as they walk, healing their wounds and bruises while making laughter, being respectful to the demonic pride that some would feel lost in a direct and obvious heal. Unknown to everyone he also adds a small shield and bravehearted spell to each, a precaution against the upcoming and growing city. Only the Overlord gave him a queer look as he came by, her eyebrow raising slightly as he gives her a quick pat on the back. Bowing slightly but finishing his spells quickly, he finally finds himself with only one person left... Felara.
For some reason he simply falls in line marching next to her, letting her make the first word. He could not bring himself to touch her yet...
"She likely take its an assult" he explains to himself, not really sure why he did not just heal her like the rest. Even so, his eyes follow her, wondering...

He looks at Kura, and back to the envelope.
Them he sighs. "I know, I just get uneasy about these things sometimes."
Sparksol takes out a scythe-shaped letter opener and carefully slices the envelope open to see what it contains.

Selene huffed, looking at her breath. She wondered a bit if she went overboard then giggled.
"Like there's a such thing as overboard..." she muttered before walking ahead.
As they approached the city, Kilraq came close to her and tapped her shoulder before he just stopped walking then went to talk to someone else. She smirked, it made no difference to her if she was healed publicly or secretly. She noticed his little extra 'gift' and shook her head. The extra strength would probably be used to hit him with rather than be of use to her.
Selene walked a little faster and closer to Achan before she walked in a low, respectly tone.
"Mistress, you have a plan of attack?"

((Sorry I haven't been on recently, real life outweighs the game wink ))
He walks up and along side Achan during the approach to the city, and mutters, "I can not be the only one to notice that decpite our apparent progress, we are not any closer to the city visually then we had been an hour ago..." He then reaches down to brush some sand off his pants, "I do believe that our approach is being hindered in some way." Silence follows him afterwards as he glances to Achan, as if appraising her before looking towards the city again.

"Mmmmh." Achan stops walking and folds her arms, staring ahead at the city that has managed to keep one step ahead of them. "We're not exactly in a real desert. There's not enough heat for us to hallucinate. I can only thing of one thing."
She starts kicking her foot in every which direction, careful to avoid her comrades.
"This is an illusion that we gotta break!"
----
No evil spells or monsters manage to pop out of the envelope. In fact, the only strange thing about it as that the text on the front glows stronger, and fades completely. Inside is a folded piece of paper.

Felara walks along slightly behind the rest of the group. She still doesn't have a very good feeling about this city, and the fact that it didn't seem to get any closer as the group of demons trudged along toward it only made it worse. Ah, I'm probably just being paranoid, she thought with mild irritation. She looks around and can't help but notice Kilraq chattering and being silly, as usual. She looks a bit closer and notices his hands glowing, and she blinks a few times in surprise, stopping in her tracks. He's... healing them? And not even expecting anything in return. Huh. She starts walking again, a little slower than before, lost in her own thoughts until the Cleric joins her. They walk in silence for a while, Felara wondering why he didn't bother to heal her. Not that I GOT hurt, being a Mage and standing back and all... but still... Trying to ignore why that upset her, she decided to try talking to him. "I saw what you were doing... healing everyone. That's... surprisingly kind. I wouldn't have expected that from you." Before he can respond, Felara looks up to see Achan kicking out little clumps of sand in every direction. Being too far behind to hear what had been said, she frowns a bit. "What on earth is she doing...?"

Sparksol sighs, about half the anxiety going away. The anxiety of having opening Achan's mail remained, however.
He takes out the paper and unfolds it, looking at whatever is written.

Being too far behind to hear what had been said, she frowns a bit. "What on earth is she doing...?" Kilraq was about to respond to her cold punch, calling him Kind. He was being tactical, they all needed their max strenght for what might be coming. "Kindness, pah!" he thinks to himself. But then, like Felara he notices what Achan is doing. Taking this chance to heal her and still a little angry at her, he decided how he was going to heal her. Stopping next to her, he reaches down and plants a firm hand on her buttock, healing and pushing her forward slightly. "Kind!? Hardly my dear, why don't we go find out whats wrong." he says, ignoring the protest erupting forth from her. Looking back her looks at her, deadly serious. "For what you said I should have kissed you, a demon kind. Bah! Put a gun to my head and shoot me next time, you would do less damage than that insult gave. A forced kiss would have been a more fitting punishment." he says, his eyes for the first time sparking with anger. Turning, he heads on towards Felara. ((Kilraq still a bit reclusive about the softer side of emotions folk. Mostly the more angelic view ones. What will Felara do folks, one more open to emotions, but still with such a slanted demonic view? Time will tell. lol))

He starts poking the ground with his sword, trying to get a depth for the sand, being as the area is an illusion, the sand being real means that something real may be beneath the sand. He looks a bit silly doing it, but in his silence, and concentration, the coldness of his heart not allready heard in his voice is seen.

She leaned to her side as she planted her staff on the ground and looked at Achan. She sighed then rolled her eyes as her foot tapped a bit unpatiently. "So many things stalling his death...first bugs...I hate bugs with all my dark soul...now stupid like illusion spells...someone has to be casting this illusion spell...if we can find them, then another problem would be solved..." She turned around and looked at the city in the distance. "But I have no clue where that lil slimeball..."
