Travis ended his meditation. He opened his eyes, a usless task for any but a terren, and searched for the right place. He moved to the break in shadow and was once agoin inside the fortress. He looked for the splinder of Jibo and listened.

Megami smiled as the second maidservant led him to the massage table prepared next to her and laid him down on it after hsi shirt was removed "So, today you will take control of the Armored Metropolis, and will be in charge of not only taking out the intruders, but also keeping Parleur under order and weeding out any potential threats of rebellion as well as the barbarious Orligonians that plague the many isolated waste areas of this realm...they have been rather bold as of late, and their guerrilla tactics are not as easy to deal with as the armies of Auro." She moaned a bit, her curvaceous body glistening tantalizingly in the light, as her maidservant continued her massage. "You will be leaving as soon as we are done with this rendezvous. I have sent word ahead, and a banquet will be prepared for yoru arrival, as you will be instated as the new Head Commander of the Haut Military and my right-hand. So, is there anythign on your mind as of late?"

In a swamp on the outskirts of the Black Marshes a new charater to this battle lays in wait concealed not only by darkness but by a skill known as mystisism...
Ral-Jikem and his ambush party lay in the swamps murky waters camoflaged to look like logs in the marsh. A few minutes later just as they had hoped a medium sized battle unit marched inbetween the two parties. One in the trees with poisons arrows and needles the other in the swamp with Halberds swords and spears. Ral swam slowly to the bank and stelthily clmbed out disgising himslef like an alligator, he passed into the tall grass. The lead squad of the Haut passed by without bothering too look and fell into a large pungi pit layed across the entire path. And just as instructed without a sound the party in the trees let fly their arrows and needles cutting through the Haut unit mercilously. As the survivors of the volly began to retreat the swamp dwellers surfaced and cut them off. Ral charged from the grass and cut the mounted officer and his horse in half with his ebony halberd. The battel raged on for abou fifteen minutes and the entire Haut unit was defeated.
"Ok count up our casualties strip the enemies of their armor and weapons and we'll fall back into the marsh."
"Sir... What about the carcases?"
"Dump half in the swamp we'll take the others to use as food and armor."
"Good call sir... We have sixty five casualties and they have two hundred and fifteen sir... That ambush was kind of messy, but they didnt run back toward the pit to try to jump it."
"Well we cant always be a stupid as these pathetic Haut... Now hurry we make for camp."
The ambush party took half of the Haut casualties and their dead comrades and headed for the border of the Black Marshes.

If so, then this mission will end easily. ::I walked out and went to my troops:: Vain: Alright! Everyone assemble. I am Vain, I'll be commanding you for this mission. If you have any questions then it sucks to be you, cuz we're heading out now!

Ryuondo The ambush part took half of the Haut casualties and their dead comrades and headed for the border of the Black Marshes. Kasumi: This is getting ugly. But I still fear that Vain could be in troble. I'll go on ahead to that fort place. ::Kasumi jumped into the tree's and ran towards the fort::

The ambush party finally reached camp about three hours later.
"Sir, what should we do with the bodies?"
"Skin them, take the flesh, dry it out and we'll take it with use. As for our dead we can make it look like our camp was attack and we were decimated."
"Thats good thinking Ral... But we will bury them instead. Your skill as a tactitian and warrior are great, but we shall honor our fallen comrades in this swamp. Push them out."
"Yes sir..."
"Ill give them command."
A few minutes after camp was set up the Orligonian warriors placed their fallen comrades in the murky waters of the swamp and let them all drift away.
Ral turned from the ceremony as it finished and sat down by the fire. Its began to flicker.
"The oxygen is being over taken by the poisons in this place too. Soon only the water will be a safe haven for the speices of this marsh..."
The unit commander sat down next to Ral.
"Yes but only those like us, the ones who can breath water and this poison."
"Even so its hard to believe the poisons have carried this far."
"The God of the Marsh has smelled the winds of war and granted us a great ally... The air is spreading on those winds of war and soon even the Haut will be nothing more than our slaves just like our captured comrades are to them."
"We meet with the alliance in a few days we should make way to Auro."
"Yes we should. But first we must report in to your father and tell him of this victory."

Travis pondered about Vain. Was he using the Haut? Or did he truely join them? Travis had heard about the new champion doing somthing similar recently. He then thought about what he could do about this woman. She was power hungry, evil, and minipulative, a typical woman. Still smething about her said...
He performed a series of hand seals and ended with his fingers making a +. In a puff of smoke he appeared in the hallway in front of room she occupied. He tapped his forhead and took the apearence of an atractive man and knocked.
