Reira put her board in the water and was happily perched on top of it an instant later. She liked the rocking feel of the waves, but she loved the sun beating down on her face. Tilting her head back and closing her eyes, she savored the rays for a moment before glancing back to make sure Tiki Jim was still following.

((I will gone from Friday- Sunday. I won't be able to be around or rp then. ))
Jet smiled at Wednesday. He kissed her cheek. "It's been a wonderful day. Once they grow we'll have to come back again.
Zoe giggled. "Dance!" She giggled and watched Ducky with the plushie. It was fun.
Hula Bob smiled and watched the new teen surf. "Remember what I taught ya! Awesome!"
"Okay, Hula Grandaddy!" Tiki Jim got on the board and began to surf. It was a lot eaiser now that he was bigger. "This is awesome!"

((I will also be gone, until Tuesday, but I'll probably find a bit of time here or there to check in))
Reira stood up on her board, enjoying the feeling of the wind through her hair. She was actually doing alright... until she turned her head to glance over to Hula Bob and Tiki Jim. With a short shriek and subsequent splash!, Reira fell into the water and quickly resurfaced with a gasp.

Tiki Jim watched her with a nod and smile. She was doing really well. "Yeah, hang 10 Reira!" He chuckled. Then he watched her fall off.
As fast as he could get his board to her he did. "Are you all right? That was an awesome wipe out!"

Reira had managed to find and cling onto her board as she caught her breath and worked to rediscover which way was up and such. "Yeah, I'm fine..." she replied with her own little laugh. "Hey, at least I'm mastering that, right?"
She crawled back onto the board and pushed her hair out of her face as she sat there a moment, enjoying the waves and the sunlight.

Tiki Jim nodded. "Yes, we all have to master that as well. Or else you could get hurt." He smiled then put a bubble around himself. With that he fell through his board.
After a bit he popped his head above water without the bubble. "See, I just do that!"

Reira's eyes grew wide for a moment, until she remembered Tiki Jim having mentioned his bubble power. When he resurfaced, she just laughed. "It seems like the slightest breeze knocks me right off the board, though!" she protested, completely unaware that she too might have a special power.
There was nothing more to do than to try again, right? "Bet I can wipe out again better than you!" she challenged joyfully as she stood back up on the board again.

Tiki Jim chuckled as he pulled himself back up on the board. "I bet you can. You look better wipeing out anyway!" He winked as he stood back on his board. Before long he was surfing again.

If she wasn't already rather red in coloring, Reira might've had a light blush to her cheeks for a moment. At least she did something well, right?...
She managed to find a decent balance, discovering that fluttering her wings a bit would help center herself if she swayed. Then, a slight breeze came up behind her. She could feel her feet trying to lift off the board, as if the wind was carrying her along. Determined to not fall, Reira twitched her wings against the force and ended up feeling like she was going comfortably faster, but no longer in danger of falling. Somehow, this just felt right to her.
"See, I don't just fall down!" she called out to Tiki Jim proudly.

Tiki Jim watched Reira with a nod. "Awesome! You're doing great!" He smiled as he made sure his board didn't get too close to her's. He didn't want a mass wipe out.
"This is fun. Maybe Hula Granddaddy can teach us the hula too!" He smiled and winked.

((I'm trying to get around to posting as often as possible -- I'm faced with a very busy schedule right now! Sorry about the large time gaps! ...Might as well get Reira to develop her special ability since I have the chance. ^-^))
Reira liked the idea of learning to hula. She had hips now, too, so all the more reason to learn. "That'd be great!" she replied, trying to sway in a mock-Hula dance as she surfed. Of course, this didn't work out too well, and the young Pae's feet slipped as she tried to find her balance. Facing backwards as the board slid out from under her for what felt like the millionth time, she waited in agony for the moment when the water would completely surround her, but the moment never came. She felt herself being pushed back a bit, but otherwise weightless. Realizing her situation, she panicked, and was quickly reacquainted with the water.
"It felt like I was being carried by the breeze..." she mused quietly as she tread water and grabbed for her surf board.

"I'm fine..." Reira responded, pulling herself back onto her board. A small connection was made in her mind: what if this was like Tiki Jim's bubble? Maybe that was just her special thing... It certainly made surfing fun!
"Hey, can we go visit your family's bar sometime? You're always talking about everyone there..." Reira sat on her board with her legs dangling in the water as she looked at Tiki Jim.

Chaos floated above the water as his water patterned body blended in with the lake. He looked around and waved his long tail around, still in the form of a giant salamander The waters so peaceful I could swim in here all day He clsoed his two colored eyes and laid no his back

Tiki Jim nodded. "Sure we can. Any time any day. I think it might be all Halloween-afied there now." Tiki Jim smiled as he told her. He then saw someone swimming in the water. "Aloha!"
Hula Bob also saw the Pae swimming. "Aloha! Want surf lessons?" He had to ask as that is what he was there for. At least at the moment that's what he was there for.
