Hey if you want to know who has it easiest out of all the military wives here, it's me. My hubby is only in the gaurd wink . Sorry to be a goofy ball. Just trying to lighten the mood. It's hard not to get your feeling hurt when you it comes to something so personal, we all love our families and have to make alot of sacrifies. We should all be proud of ourselves for putting up with the millitary. The hassels of the medical system alone are enough to earn us metals, right.

Hear hear!! Tricare sucks rabid hairy monkey nuts!

Aaaaand now that THAT mental image is seared into your brains. The idiots at the TMC informed me I wasn't in labor with my oldest child, then proceeded to call my ex husband a liar when he went to get my medical records not 8 hours later (german doctors asked for them once it was determined I didn't give birth at home for religious reasons and we were all healthy. took forever!). See, I went home after they told me I didn't know what I was talking about and had a kid on my bedroom floor. About an hour and a half after they sent me home mind you. Hmm...not in labor huh? Asshats. lol.

YIKES! I've heard bad stories and I had a lot of problems with Tricare and the MTFs except till I got here. Maybe it's cause it's home of medical and a really good hospital.

Although I can't say I'd be comfortable in some civilian hospitals *shudders* Don't be afraid to complain and raise some noises!

Tommy's talking about reenlisting...will mention more after vacation.

Yeah, we've talked about re-upping, and unless they can offer hubby 100k up front in cash and non-deployable status for life, we're walking. lol.

Thats horrible!!!! I have never heard of anything like that. I have never had any problems with Tricare. I dont live close enough to go to any military hospitals or doctors, so mine are all civilian. But I have to say I am very happy with them and the service that they provide. WHOOT WHOOT for the nondeployable status!!!!!!! Dont think that my hubby is gonna reenlist. sad

Thats wrong! His being in the military has a big effect on you. I would be a little upset.

In some cases the re-up fairy comes and visists out of the blue. Usually WAY ahead of out time. I've seen it happen. Poor guys/gals get sideswiped by the blasted creature and they soon find themselves logging on for another 6 years.

Though there are those who are actually scared to death to get out of the military, and with the current economy and job market, can't really blame them.

Oh well, we kinda have to reenlist. He's all ready got the contract worked up just needs to sign up. Bonuses are at the highest right now because of low recruitment.

I just don't think we would adjust well to civilian life. It's hard but I don't like the thought of not having some stability.

My husband joined the army without asking me, so I told him I'd kick him if he made a decision without me this time. I think it's just hard because we would have to struggle really hard to have a house and him finish RN school, and work two jobs and me working.

We're planning to re-up because of what it's like "Out there" right now. xD

Darn ugly in the civvie world right now. I think the military provides a fair amount of stability to be honest.

((Omigod, I just noticed I picked the same hair as two other people already! ROFL))

I would love for my hubbie to reenlist. I remember how much we struggled to pay bills and stay on top of things before he enlisted. One of us was always stressed out. I like having the stability of the bills at least being paid. However, thats not what he wants and I have to respect that. It sounds scary to me to go back to the civilian life, but it was also scary going into the military life. Just have to deal with it I guess.

Yeah it's been weird switching back from active duty to weekend worrior. I miss all the extra money crying . But I'd much rather have Alex home with us. It must be really hard to go totally civilion after living on post and all that.
