The black officer was the next to speak up, the red shimmer in his eyes faded in the presence of the Dragon Emperor. He stood in his relaxed formal position, which consisted of his forearms resting against the small of his back.
"We aren't all to sure My Lord. The scroll that Vierres sent us was slightly vague about what, but it seems he discovered something very.... disturbing or... unnerving concerning the youkai attack up north. He said that he'd give more details upon his return. And knowing Vierres, we know that will be very soon.."

The rooms occupants didn't have to wait long, only some moments to be exact, before the doors to the throne room were pushed open again and the Red Dragon Officer strode inside. "You're here, good. Then the fighter did get back here fast enough to spare me having to wait." The light haired officer said as he closed the doors behind him, greeting Lykouleon with a quick bow of his head and a short "Your majesty".
"Actually, Vierres, we haven't been waiting long, perhaps a minute at most. Now will we get to know what you've found out?" Ruwalk tilted his head a bit as he watched the other.
The half dragon nodded then glanced over at the Consort, scritching his cheek. "Uhm... I think your majesty might want to leave the room... it's not going to be pretty." He warned.
Nodding, Raseleane gracefully stod up from hear seat at on a large, plush pillow beside the throne. "I'll be going to my room." The woman smiled before giving the four men a soft curtsy and leaving the room.
Waiting until the door had closed properly, Vierres took a breath before starting. "Your majesty, the fight wasn't hard and no one really got very injuried, however, it was what we discovered afterwards..." Here the half youkai suddenly looked a bit uncomfortable, something Vierres rarely did. "One youkai had survived the battle and... when I was about to question him to get some clues on the plans of Nadil and his army the man just... He suddenly began to melt." The last part had come out in a hurry, but it had been clear enough to hearit without doubting what had been said. A silence filled the room.

((*squeals at all the new posts* <33
...You don't need to lock me up. >_>;;; ...I have another page of notes for you, though, Nadil. XD;; *summer school ended on Friday*))
Asuncion was tired as he walked slowly to the stables, leading his darna along with the one Bierrez had ridden behind him. Pushing open the wooden gate slowly, he looked around for the empty bucket that usually stood by the stable entrance. He needed to wash the animals down, although the extra work was sounding less and less appealing.
"Here. I filled it for you already."
He started, swirling around to see Armando leaning casually against the wall, the borrowed jacket still hanging from his shoulders loosely. The bucket was resting on the grass beside him, filled to the brim with water.
"Caracas got back in time, then?"
Armando nodded, normally calm face tense. "Yes. Maybe half an hour ago. He can ride fast; I'm impressed."
There was a loaded silence. Armando stepped away from the wall, clear eyes piercing as he looked at his younger comraide. "What happened out there?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Asuncion said blankly, walking casually forward to pick up the bucket of water. His arms and steps were tense, belaying his illusion of calm. The darnas snorted tiredly at the doorway to the stables, their reins still securely in his hand. "There was nothing unusual."
Armando's eyes flashed, narrowing at the obvious lie. He sidestepped the other, placing his body between him and the filled bucket.
"I don't want that crap," he stated bluntly. "I know something happened. I just want to know if the rumors are true. I said it's been half an hour. Did you think no one had heard about any of it? I'm not asking you to give me every gory detail-- I've heard plenty of those from even the shortest version going around the castle grounds. I just want it confirmed or denied by someone who actually knows what they're talking about."
Asuncion had jerked back when the other Fighter began to speak, and now he stepped further away, the shadow of the stables falling over his face and shoulders.
His mouth opened as if to speak, then snapped tightly shut.
"...Let me stable the darnas," he finally managed in a low growl, clenched fists shaking. "Let me get them settled and watered and let me change out of these clothes. I want a drink. I want as strong a drink as Caracas had to loosen his tounge so much. Then you can ask me again."
He turned, leading the darnas into the stables with terse, forced steps.
"And maybe by then I won't be too tired to punch you when you do."

As the red officer spoke, Teceous just stared at the floor, listening to the other officer, but by the time he had finished, his cold black hues were staring in the direction of Vierres.
"Melt?" Teceous shuddered inwardly at the thought of that, being currently half-youkai, he wondered if it could effect Vierres and himself... Then he began to wonder, Can it affect dragons? Or Humans? Or even members of the spirit tribe?
"Could the body have been brought back for an examination... and autopsy even?" The tall half-youkai soon asked.

The blonde and orange haired man turned to stare at the darker one for a second, then seemed to remember that he hadn't been there when it happened. "No, that would be impossible. The whole body melted into this... glowing mass of goo. I wasn't sure it was safe to even touch it so we didn't. But..." The Dragon Officer seemed to rack his brain for small details he had seen but not really put in the front of his memory.
"When I first saw him it seemed like... he looked like he was almost on fire, as if he was burning up on the inside or down with an infernoof a fever... He also had some kind of red marks that looked like a cross between a blister and a burn. I only had time to ask him a question before he suddenly began to melt away and..." Here Vierres looked up directly at the Dragon Emperor. "The flesh below the skin glowed like pure light..."
Lykouleon could only stare back at his Red Officer, worry and confusion clear on his unveilded face. He didn't need to voice the question, all of them already knew it, but lacked the asnwer. What was that thing?

The mind of the black officer turned for a moment or two before he spoke up once more. "It's sounds like an infection... or a diease... So far it seems to only be prone to infecting Youkai, but we also can't be too certain about that..." He said, his eyes moving to the Dragon Emperor before shifting back to Vierres.
"Maybe you and any dragon fighters with you should get checked out in the infirmary... Just incase."

The Dragon Emperor seemed to think on what the Black Officer had said before nodding slowly, looking up at Vierres. "Yes, you should. And if there is something odd we must have you healed immediately. But if..." The blond man's gaze fell slightly, emerald orbs staring at the floor.
"But if it doesn't work then you would have to keep yourselves on your rooms while we try to find a solution to it. Isn't that right... Lykouleon?" Ruwalk filled in as he looked on his friend, skipping any respectful suffix. Even if Lykouleon had changed a bit because of all this war and... what they had been forced to do Ruwalk could still connect and read his childhood friend rather well.
At the nod from the dragon on the throne, Vierres gave a serious nod. "Alright, I'll be going to get the fighters that accompanied me after this meeting is done. Or is it? Since I have nothing more to add."

The dark hues of Teceous shifted from Lykouleon to Luwalk, then finally to Vierres, silent words exchanged between the three. "THis meeting is done for now... You should go off to the infirmary and get checked.."
Teceous then turned his attention back to Lord Lykouleon, giving a short bow. "My lord." He said politely before turning and slipping out of the room. But before he could get too far down the hall, the sunlight of the window caught his attention and he began thinking of the Youkai diease. Being half-youkia himself, it was a plague that worried him.
He leaned gently against the window frame, staring out at the gardens, a soft sigh falling off his lips.

"Teceous..." The Red Dragon Officer came slowly walking down the hall and stopped a few feets away from the darker half youkai. "A word with you." Vierres said as he stood still, wanting the other's full attention before starting.

Teceous blinked then made a soft glance over his shoulder. The voice was immediately recognizable, so it didn't startle his thoughts much. Pushing off of the window sill, he looked to red officer through his dark bangs, a hand slowly coming up to brush them away. His curiousity poke away at what Vierres wanted to say.
"Yes?"

"This recent discovery, this disease or whatever it is, do you think that this is the reason to the sudden turn of tides in our confrontations with the youkai army?" It was war talk; straight, strategic and for security measures, they were, after all, both responsible for the security and the planning and leading of the attacks.

Crossing his arms, the black officer nodded. "I think it may be, but that does not mean we should slack in anything. It may just be a plot by Nadil. He could be devising something."
The half-youkai paused.
"Anything." He finished his previous thought. "This 'diease' could just be a cover for something a lot worse then anything in the past. Either that, or it truly is what it seems and the Youkai race is being deminished by this unnamed plague."

The other officer was quiet a moment then nodded. "... Yes, you're right." Then he looked up at the other. "And if this disease perhaps doesn't have a cure and it can afect every known race...?" It was a question of the worst case scenario and nothing anyone really wanted to think about probably, but Vierres's stare didn't leave Teceous.

"Do you really have to ask me a question you know the anwser to?" The taller officer gave a slight huff. "If it is uncurable and can affect every race, there is three things that could happen."
He closed his eyes for a brief moment.
"One, We quarantine until those dieased are dead, That would mean and temporary peace because some how we managed to join with the Youkai in this act of quarantine. Two, Nadil could use this against us, since it seemingly originated from the youkai. Or Three, we all get dieased, give up and stop worrying about this damned war and die peacefully." Oh the wonders of the Black Officer's imagination.
