I have no idea, actually. o.o; I've been told I'm Earth, but I've also been told by a friend that I'm probably Water. Some help would be nice...although I'm not sure what you need to know? sweatdrop

Do you like to gaze at fire? What's your star-sign? Just.. random tid-bits about what you like about the elements and numerology. I like to stare at fire and just kind of watch it move, but it's kind of the same with water. I love when it rains, I can just feel it and sense it and smell it and see it in the air everywhere before it does rain. Sometimes when I'm around water I like to just let it flow into my hands and let it go and feel how it moves over my skin, and it makes me feel all nice. But fire I like to just stare at and it makes me feel very...calm.
Also I'm a Virgo, my birthstone is the peridot (I think) and my entire city is surrounded by water. We're kind of an island, actually - only way in and out is over a bridge.

Alright: well, virgo is an earth element. These are only guidelines, and aren't as important as your personal connection with the elements.
It sounds as if you are definitley a water element. ^^
Fire making you calm indicates you have a connection to fire. Maybe the masculinity of it comforts you? Or possibly the fact that you know water can quench it - determing that you are water.
Hmm, it's a tricky one. smile
Try some elemental meditation. I believe that on the previous page of this thread there are instructions for doing this - although I could be wrong. sweatdrop Please let me know if I am, and I will get the method to you.

I absolutely -love- thunderstorms or when it just rains really hard xD I also love staring at moving water, such as a lake, stream, river, or the ocean.
Same thing with fire...I love staring at that too ^^; I could sit in front of my fireplace and just watch the flames dance around blaugh
I've been told that my element was air as well, and I have no clue how it ties in with me o_O

I am an Earth Element also. I really do feel that I am because friends told me that, "Kristin, you are a down-to-earth person" haha...yadda with all kidding aside...I like being represnted as an Earth Element, truly is me, well course it is, tis my element. =p
I do enjoy just sitting outside, alone next to a tree meditating with the earth. I like areas that are calm. I like to keep things going steady. Earth element, yep that be me! wink

You mean the signs in the chinese zodiac are each fixed on an element too?
I always figured the elements of the signs in the chinese zodiac took turns. I know I was born in the Dragon Under The Rain thingie. Basicly a water dragon. There's also an earth, wood, metal and fire I think. Their elements are a bit different as far as I know. But if I'm wrong I'd love to know what element a dragon is. smile

I'd have to grab my calendar again (since its packed up right now) but Dragon, Rat, and the other in the triangle, are fire, Rabit, Boar, and the other are Earth, and I can't remember the ones for air/wind, or water.

The Chinese zodiac elements are based on two things: 1) Which animal you are and 2) which specific year you were born in. For example, I was born in the Year of the Horse. The horse has fire as its main element. I was born in 1978, so my year element is earth. There are a great number of books out there that have a lot of really good information in them.

The horocopes/birth signs/ birth stones are purely guidelines. It comes down to your personal preference. Everyone makes mistakes - even the horoscope creators! Metal Veins, can you give us any more info? I know that water and air all contribute to earth - without either, the earth would be raw and slightly ravaged. It's natural (bad pun..) to feel confusion.

Maybe we need to remember that we need to balance out the elements. If you were born under a fire sign, you may end up having an affinity for a complementary element (air and earth), etc. I'm both fire and earth by birth, but I can work air and water. It's all about the balance.

Hello, all. I'm really not sure what element I am, but I think it might be water...
Anyways, I'm a Sagittarius and my birthstone is Topaz. There are several bodies of water around here, and the ocean is not too far away.. There are also mountains pretty close by, and lots of trees. I also feel most connected to water. Any help?
