And now they were both balancing on their blades...interesting, ya?

The only difference is this: Trei still has about 50-60 threads remaining, and they are now ALL converging on his now static opponent. And this time, Trei was willing to wait until they had all attached to his opponent before willing them to bind, when his whole body would be trapped.

"We can call it quits NOW, if you like...I hope you'll forgive the way I play, but when you used your wind blade I assumed you wished to be treated almost as a regular opponent..." Trei's grin is audible in his voice, as well as a mild weight behind his breath. However his opponent feels, its clear that HE at least is enjoying himself. "Gotta admit...it's been fun, ya?"

True, though Rovell knew he was being toyed with, this bout had been interesting, to say the least. He just wished the two could fight on even terms.... Well, he did say he wanted to spar in a place where no rules from the arena would apply... Plus, he did add the fact that he said 'whatever goes, goes'. He had to laugh at his own words. He set himself up to lose this fight. He could only be thankfull that this wasn't an official match, and his death would not penalize his opponent in any way.

"Yeah, it's been.... interesting..., and I agree that it's time to give it a rest." he grinned. Hopping off of the hilt of his blade, and removing it from the ground, he dispelled their form, and the twin swords turned back into the dark pendant that Rovell wore before the match. "And by the way... shouldn't your arms be tired by now?" he asks looking directly where his opponent was. Rovell caught a glimpse of him performing a handstand on his own weapon just before the blue glow arround his body disipated. No sense in trying to look for him now that they've stopped fighting.

Still there was one thing to take care off before Rovell decided to take it easy. Kneeling down, he trailed his left hand over the wound on his left ankle, and his right hand over the wounds along his left leg and whispered, "Curatio Ventus." Slowly, the wounds began to close up untill they had vanished from Rovell's body. All that remained were the holes and tears in his pants and boots. "Yep, deffinitely gonna have to break out the sewing kit later..."

Maelthorn
His little orb simply draws back to Maelthorn, and floats in front of him. Maelthorn was waiting for something big. He wasn't surprised that this man had the capabilities to do anything, it seemed. That was how most people were now, once again, it seemed. He just liked fighting, loopholes to him, were just annoying, he tried to never manipulate them even if it meant his life. Everyone now-a-days seems to jump on them now though...

The orbs drew back towards their respective owner, but the encasing that Ryu has been set in stays trembling as if something has been conjuring up during the defense. While the orbs were floating in front of Malethorn, Ryu's Aero-Manipulated and Elemental Shifted creation vibrates as the frequences and sequences begin to go abruptly inside of it. The orb glows in an oceanic glow, the ground beneath him quakes slightly as if a power has been rising from within.

Mael may like fighting, but so does Ryu, the fact of the matter is Ryu came to this tournament for one thing and that's to find some formible opponent to actually stand up to him to be his equal. Ryu has been in countless battles, but battles that he hasn't have had were ones with Shouyin, Reiko, and Vahn. On the search for these men, Ryu came up to Clash finding the fact that he was holding a tournament. Ryu took this tournament to best his skills, and to also find someone who can keep up with his status of being an Enforcer. A person above the law of life and death.

Back in the battle, the ground continues to quake giving off a slight sensation that there could be a volcano, but what's happening in the orb? Ryu's in it, right? Yet the entire area surrounding the orb and around Maelthorn continues to quake. Ryu's position as of now is still inside the orb, but for how long? What'll happen to the orb, and what's going to happen afterwards? Is Ryu finally taking this battle seriously?

Or is this just... another ploy for something else? Mael will have to play the waiting game here.

Feeling the force on the blade shift Vercellius was aware of the change, as he was only holding it against his side the blade fell to the ground uncermonially. Violet eyes saw the shift come as Snow moved to over take him from his left. Too bad for him it was an easier task to simply rotate his wrist to track his target then it was for him to move his entire body. The waves would still propogate from the ressonator, the needles instead struck upon the back of his armoured hand. Snow had struck upon the two units of armour Vercellius wore. A gaunlet which held the infrasonic weapon and the plate that protected his abdomen.

The rest of his body twisted with his hand and his head bobbed to the left, Snow's fist passing harmlessly through air, his shoulders hunched down as he half crouched into a dodge.

Struck by a blow that was unseemingly as nothing had happened so far his insides seemed to churn about in a mass of chaos. Ripping the mask from his head his mouth was stained with blood. While at first the attack had taken him by surprise a smile haunted his serene features, drips of blood dribbled out of his mouth before it was coughed up in a large spurt.

Laughing through it he looked at his foe, "Do you really think something like that would inhibit me? Come, try again." With that he threw his arms open wide.

Trei grins as both the first the darkness, then the now-revealed golden threads covering his opponent fade away. Calmly, Slowly, he allows his body to lean "forward", His feet soon bridging with the ground as he forces his upper body out of it's arc.

"Heh...I can't wait to play against you for real. I promise, I'll take you serious then..." With that, our hero rolls his shoulders and swings his blade up, allowing it to come to rest across the back of his neck. " 'till next our blades cross..."

As simply as that, Trei turns away and makes his way back to the main area, aiming to resume his spot above the stadium floor...

Ryugi Kazamaru
I suppose you've caught me.

Ryugi looked around from side to side, listened to find the positions of all the nearby individuals, and then, finding he was reasonably safe, spoke once more.

Kazamaru means "Good seat of Wisdom". It fit my family since we were often advisors to our friends in times of need. They saw us as intelligent, and wise individuals, so they respected us.

He moved around a bit, adjusting his position before he continued.

My brother's name means "Dragon of Confusion." He was often conflicted while growing up, and always questioned everything to better understand it. His psychic abilities and elemental abilities added to his name over the years as well.

He scratched the back of his neck with his left arm and re-crossed his legs in a different direction, once more listening, before speaking again.

My name means "Righteous Dragon". I guess ever since I was little I wanted to do what I thought was right, and best for the good of others.

You see, my brother and I, we are dragons in a human form. We've learned that some humans and other races don't take too kindly to us since we left the Lands of Man centuries ago, and so, we generally keep it a closely guarded secret.

"I would very much enjoy meeting, Ree-you-do. He sounds like a very interesting person, Rai-you-ghi." He told the man after listening and nodding. "It sounds like the man envied you alot, because you appeared to be so confident. Am I right?" He asked with a soft smile as he realigned his shirt and so on. But then he finally caught his hint at self imposed exhile. It was very much the same for his half-brother. The mere thought of the man gave him a soft cringe. "Left the lands of men? So you weren't around during the purgings of draconic blood?" He said, leveling out his wrist to expose the symbol of a dragon's foot. One could tell by the design that it was a thoroughly european dragon foot, and screamed his lineage. Allen had always damned himself for undergoing the ritual to give up his own heritage. But it was a sacrifice that he had to of made to make the sick monster repent for his sins against his "family." He'd never made his expressions any more honest that they were now. He knew that Ryugi could tell them if the man had any since of empathy.

I guess you could say he envied me. We didn't get along too well in our younger days.

He noticed the man's emotional features immediately, and did the best he could to answer his question quickly so as not to linger on such a painful subject.

Most of Dragonkind left the Lands of Man long before the purgings and Dragon Slayers began to arise. My ancestors fled along with them.

"Yes, Ryugi, but not enough. I'm sour to admit that the entire ordeal was instigated by my 'saint' of a brother. Catholics damned alot of the non-mundane. Malleus Inficarum, Trials of Salem, damnations of dragons. So on and so forth." With that he let out a soft sigh, not typical of a russian at all. He blew some of his dyed hair from his eyes and then softly asked "Are you ready to spar, now, Ryugi? After then you must take me to Ryudo. I must see what I can teach him." Allen noted for a minuted before stretching out his arms to accept the trappings of his shield, and arm of his gladius.

I am ready when you are. And after the fight, I'll take you to Ryudo.

Ryugi stood up off the wall, and grasped his weapon in his hand.

Any specific rules you'd like us to adhere to?

"I need to work on my clairsentience in a combat setting. I've never really tried it before. But masters of it within the Zuoken order of China tell tales of men who were so percise in their precognition that they were never hit. They were treasured by emperors and wealthy merchants for protection. I just now learned how to use it from an Illithid monk. Tricky buisness it is. For now just melee attacks and a little bit of holding back." Allen explained before letting his weapons fall to his sides, in a relaxed stance before moving back to an open area where they would have plenty of room. He then began to study the dragon, with now whiteish-blue eyes that seemed to give off an eerie smoke.

One of his orbs, began rapidly tracing itself all around Maelthorn's body, this would be a slow process, but, it would be much worht it. And in the mean time, the other orb way about 200 or so feet away above the colisseum, this was doing the same thing, though, it seemed to be taking information from the other orb to construct the same exact body shape. He simply stood there the whole time. The wind not affecting him, his body not quivering visibly at all, and he wasn't even breathing. And a nearly microscoptic string of energy had made itself going from his actual body, to the fake model in the midst of creation.

Kalie walked through one of the many stone archways with a sigh. Her long midnight tresses blowing across her face in a soft caress when the wind lifted her hair. Her sea blue eyes were murky, undecided and indifferent to the arena around her. Her movements however would pause beneath the stone structure, it was far cooler in the shade then if she were to venture out into the open seating or the bar. Drinking was something she had never been especially good at or fond of, and she couldn't spot anyone she overwhelmingly wanted to speak to.

So for the time being she leaned on the arch and watched from a distance. Arms crossed.

Again the body felt the sheer impact of sonic at its fullest, but Snow went to the extreme to try to restabilize his unbalanced water supply within before it becomes too chaotic. Like the usual method of a delay strike, Snow injected his energy into the affected organs in a vibrating motion to counteract the frequency imbalance, dampening the initial damage to a minor degree. Reckless as it may seem, it is one of the effective maneuvers of energy healing, especially famous for balancing the body's internal and external system by the mark of Chi.

He coughed again, some damage still evident and in its aftermath as blood was coughed out in small lumps. The gaze is unsteady, but with quick compensation to Vercellius's resonator, he's already lucky that it didn't cause much collateral damage if left unchecked.

Snow sheathed his blades and the needles, lowering to hand to hand combat this time. Swords won't work against the quick blades of Vercellius, and the needles are useless against Vercellius's armour...

"You first." He uttered, resorting to a not commonly seen Iaido stance.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 05, 2006 8:36 am

A tongue slithered out of Vercellius' mouth, far longer then any human tongue should be as it tasted a small portion of the blood that dribbled down his narrow features before being pulled back into his mouth. Sheathing his knives so as not to lose them in what was to come next he was giddy with laughter.

With complete contempt for his foe he dashed into combat, his hands free of any weapon. His left hand was had the index and middle finger pointed outwards while the others were flat against the palm, the elbow bent with the forearm held close to his body.

The right had all fingers straight out with the hand at a fourty five degree angle which followed the rest of the way down his forearm. With his right he would perform and needed block while his left could be used for any quick jab he found an opening for.

Despite this arrangement he hoped for a chance to unleash the beast within and let Snow know true horror.
