Granted. The "side of the road special" is waiting for you to drive by and claim it. So it has a few stains, it smells like several unknown things, and it's a little lopsided. It's still a couch!

I wish I could go swimming.

Granted, but as you swim you hear familiar music, could it be the jaws theme? Now you must wonder-- how the heck did -that- get in the pool. Maybe it's just a babe ruth candy bar... or is it the genuine article?

I wish I was all packed up to move.

granted, but when you finished packing all your belongings and loaded them into the moving truck, someone stole it while you were getting a tasty beverage from the cooler in your otherwise empty living room. the plus side is you don't have to worry about unpacking. the downside is you have no stuff.

i wish i was able to spend more than the weekends with my fiancee.
