S3htek Hi guys ! *clarinet clarinet* How are ya'll ? Um...freezing. Seriously, my finger are numb right now and its pouring freezing rain outside my freezing window pane. BRR! COLD! This is why I don't like winter. But I do like hot chocolate. Reminds me of band camp... Geez, when you all talk about what kind of clarinet you have, it just reminds me of how CRAPPY mine is. But oh well. I'll get a new one when I get into symphonic...hopefully.

What to chat about next, hmm . . . now that we've talked about the clarinets themselves, what kind of reeds and/or mouthpieces do you use?
My BD and woodwind instructor/assistant BD insist that we all use Mitchell Luries (and I'm not complaining), and they even got us some good mouthpieces (Premieres by HITE) with leather ligatures.

I've got a wooden Selmer from the 1970s - it was my dad's when he was a kid, and he gave it to me when he bought a new one.

To the dancing kitten: Happy Birthday I have a Buffet E-11 that I don't take care of as well as I should. But I'm also learning tenor saxophone. Just a pointless question: Does anyone not love the taste of new reeds? This might sound weird, but they taste pretty good.

Happy Birthday, I also have an E-11 which I take excellent care of, I want to learn tenor sax, and yes, I do like the taste of new reeds, but it doesn't last very long at all with mine.
