With all of them gone, it was easy for it to weight the blades. It had been worried that if it perfomed such a sacred duty in front of Fay that she would carry the secret back to her queen. Clootie had already run through five blades happily. "Nice, just need pig."

Daoin made a face when he saw Quintilius strike Morgan. He almost felt like cheering when she cut him and cast that annoying spell, then remebered that she was the one that had so recently kidnapped him in the first place. The cut on his back was trickling.

"She's at home, in bed; still sleeping soundly. I've a way to watch her at the moment, but I suppose I've never showed you that trick, have I?" an offhand comment. He watched cooly as she let the man go, but things changed when Quintilius struck her. He didn't know that he could speak on her defense right now, but he wasn't about to allow this.
Silently, he slipped himself quickly between him and Morgan, the same very empty look on his face. Well, not quite between, he didn't block the eyesight, but was, facing the space between them, close enough to lay a hand on either and halt any further physical contact. "I don't know what's going on, and I think it'd be better we drop all of this and discuss later." he said, impartially, as much to one as the other, as he put an arm on both shoulders, and pushed with equal force to keep either marking the other again.
"And the next goddam, ******** blade I see someone pointing at someone else, I am going to take and throw into the river."
Still no emotion, even if he was cursing.

"Release him now!" she again demanded, joining the others. Naturally she dissaproved of the strike he had delievered to Morgan, how uncultured. At least Morgan had the grace to apologize for him.
"Morgan, I want an explanation." she wanted the husband explained too. From what she could see although it didn't seem like this woud be his idea he coud easily be just as guity as threatening Daoin!

Shruging his shoulders slowly he gave a soft look at Morgan and a narrowed one at Rivven.
"Just keep yourselves calm and please don't try to start a war between us and the Faye. Because Morgan, you should really know better; and Rivven, I expect you to be able to help your wife."
Bleeding as he was he made no concern of it. So he had been cut in the shoulder. It didn't matter to him, even if it wasn't going to close at the moment. Having a stomach full of lead, now that was painful.

She was fairly confident that she knew more about the situation that he did at the moment, and she had only been there a few minutes. It was important that she get Daoin back to Fay though, so with a nod the glass cuffs dissapeared and she gave another nod to Fay.
"The explanation? The expanation is that my concern comes from the fact that techically you are here undocumented. Legally, you could start an invasion with little risk of court action. Do you have papers?"

"I......" Witch "No," she admitted "With the war, things were rushed. Papers receieved but never filled, or simply lost in the general commotion. But we are more organized now, and by the next trip shall be able to produce them at will. The Clootie is documented." Daoin was safe. That was good- she felt a wave of relief crash in her mind.

Rivven looked at Quintilius a moment, a dry, amused look, and then turned his attention back to the main of the situation. Morgan and the woman were the ones with the most idea as to what was going on, he took it. Rather than interfering, he opted to simply stand quietly and watch for the time being. He was going to want to puzzle out all of what was going on when this was over. Much as he was glad there was no direct confrontation, they were so much simpler, easier to act in. This mild feeling of helplessness was frustrating.

Ridiculous of course. Fay would have used that loophole if there wasn't already a war going on back home anyways. She didn't like the position she was putting Rivven in though. It caused him to no doubt think less of her, ontop of what they had just talked about. But she hoped Quintilius was starting to see that she could be useful.

He would need speak with her at a later point. Morgan had brought up a useful point; but her actions had also put the entire nation in the way of some potential harm, perhaps even causing that invasion she had mentioned.
Adopting a calm demeanor Quin gave a smile and nodded his head slowly.
"Now people, I believe there is a demostration to finish if people so desire. And the Clootie has been eyeing the pig, best not let the potential for it to go out of control to get it."

Well, that seemed an end to things. "Shall we go?" he inquired to Morgan in a voice lowered so as to exclude the rest from his question, even as he, with a slight curiousness showing on his face now that he no longer felt so pressured, examined each breifly, ending with his wife.
He intended to allow her that alone time if she wanted, but he had told her he'd come here with her, and she wouldn't exactly have been alone anyway. He'd been worried, too.
"Or did you have something more in mind?"

Diana groaned as she stretched her arms. Looking around at her ships, she smiled slightly. They were all here. None hd been harmed. She was at the moment, fixing a sail. It had been torn in a storm. Looking back at the sail, she viewed her handywork. Sedynine had had a rough journey indeed. Then again, the more difficult part was that she had discovered a good quarter of her stock missing. No one knew anything. Although, Sedynine had reported a strange mist that had appeared out of nowhere. THey hadn't heard or seen anything but Diana was certain that something had happened. Deciding she ought to go to shore again, she set the sail down.
She'd been to shore only once or twice her entire time here. She didn't know anyone here. Going to her cabin, she pulled a deep red dress that had long sleeves instead of short ones. After all, she couldn't exactly go to shore in her sea clothes. SHaking her hair lose, she tied it back with a peice of rope, an odd strand falling across her eyes. Shoving it back, she stepped out on deck.
Samual grinned as he saw her. She walked over to him. "I'm going to go on shore for a while. Maybe go shopping or something. After all, I will be needing some new clothes soon." "And I'm assuming you'll be looking at they're blades?" Diana blushed. It was true she had viewed a few of the weapons she had seen but most weren't quite adequate enough. Not to mention, she wanted to find a home. She didn't want to stay on the ships for her stay here. She turned and headed down the plank. "Watch the ship. I'll be back later."
Diana moved through the streets. It was seemingly quiet. A thankful thing since she was sensitive to sound. Even if she was human, it didn't mean she had to act it. She had cultured to act as that of the forests. Her hearing and eyesight were better than most of her friends and she was very skilled in combat though she didn't fight often. She didn't like to do it.

"Let's just wait until the demomstration is done then," she conceeded. Right now it would be foolish for Faye to start anything while her nation back home was still at war, but without the right paper trail it always left room for things in the future. And that uncertainty bothered her. On the other hand, it seemed that Quin had gotten the gist of the Clootie's nature rather aptly.

"Thank you."
With a sigh Quin turned back around and began to walk back towards the center of the clearing. Resting the sword so that the flat of the blade laid upon his shoulder he looked at the others.
"Well, anyone care for a little test of steel?"

Rias landed on top of a building in the square so she could slip a cloak on. She didn't want anyone to notice her wings. After her first meeting here, she had been loathe to visit anyone else. Illiana had fallen asleep in her arms. Smiling softly down at the child, she heard voices. Tilting her head slightly in interest, she crept to the edge and looked down. There was a group of people there. She instantly recognized the one in the middle asking about testing steel. Her blood turned cold.
Just then Illiana woke up. Rias looked down at her and put a finger to her lips. Instantly, the child became alert and peered over the edge of the building. Her eyes brightened and she looked back at Rias in excitement. Rias shook her head slightly.
Illiana couldn't beleive her luck. She had found Morgan and Rivven and Quin. There were some others though but she couldn't see them as well. She knew better than to say anything though. If she did, Rias would go away for a time. She wouldn't come visit. She remained quiet although she really wanted to dance. Feeling a sneeze coming up, her eyes widened and she turned.
Rias saw Illiana'a predicament immediately. She scooped the child up and the ran to the other side, dropping down. As they glided down, Illiana sneezed softly. "We don't want to be seen now Illiana. We'll go find a place to play in the square." Rias set her down momentarily to pull her hood and cloak on before lifting her again. She focused and changed Illiana's hair and eye color so no one would be able to recognize her instantly. She then moved off. Little did she realize, the other way out was right next to the group.
