Tell me about it.
But Ebay rocks my socks for that kinda stuff. Seriously, you can get pure silver or gold or anything you want on there for 5 bucks.
Only problem is the time it takes to get those things in the mail lol.
But yep, I have numerous sets of earrings from Ebay, brand new, for about 3 bucks a pair. And if you're into the flashy rhinestone stuff, it's even easier to find stuff.
*hugs pc*

Yeah, I've used Ebay and bodyartforms.com to stretch all the way to 1/2inch without paying more than $20 a pair, heart the internet.

I'm in no way trying to be mean, but that nape doesn't look like it was done properly. It looks like it's either a straight barbell or tygon, which are really not appropriate for surface piercings. I can see you're attached to it and would be sad to lose it, but I would really recommend that you get it redone with a surface barbell. Otherwise there is a really good chance you'll lose it to rejection. sweatdrop

Oh no... It's a PTFE barbell. Bends with the body. It probably looks weird in that picture because I just got it done and the area was a bit swelled up.

Second thoughts, I'm concerned now. Maybe I'll go back and get the jewelery changed.

That's what I meant by Tygon, bendy. I believe it's about the same material. From what I've read it can work, but it's not the best.

Quote from BME: "Flexible jewelry (Tygon) technique - Tygon is a flexible inert plastic tube that has become quite popular in surface piercing. It is far more flexible than nylon, and thus greatly reduces the pressures that the piercing puts on the skin. If you are going to use any technique other than surface bars, or want to do a surface piercing in a location not suited to surface bars, this is in my opinion the only acceptable method.
Surface bars - Surface bars are in my opinion the single best -- and perhaps only -- acceptable solution for most surface piercings. They attempt to solve the problems in surface piercing by intelligent jewelry design. "

To make a surface bar work, I believe you have to get it repierced, otherwise it's just a straight barbell with ends sticking up. If you decide to do it, make sure the bends are at 90 degree angles and the jewelry is nice and polished. Scratched jewelry from being bent is never a good thing.

Sorry for being a bearer of bad news. I just felt I should share this information with you to, hopefully, prevent some rejection, which is never fun.

No no... You're pretty much saving me for scaring. Got in touch with my piercer again. Getting the bar changed. I don't think I need to get it repierced. It seems to be quite deep, that's why the bar is bending.

My industrial (that I'm going to be getting a bar for SOON!) and lobe piercings. I have no idea why it looks so red, it doesn't anymore... hm.

Bottom is about 14g... I believe. It's not an orbital, just flipped up. But everyone seems to think it's one so I just let them think so. ^_^
