Miangel I've got a question - what's the key signature for a tuba when the concert key is Bb? I can't seem to understand the tuba at all... from what I've gathered, it's in BBb, and I have NO idea what that is for concert pitch. sweatdrop And as I'm writing an arrangement, and it would be nice to have a tuba part... I kinda need to know. ^^;; Thanks in advance! a tuba is concert pitched, I'm not sure y it's BBb, but it is, however, when a tuba/baritone/t'bone/flute/mallet is in concert Bb, it's simply Bb, 'nuff said, the concert Bb pitch for tuba is Bb...hope I helped ^__^

Me? I play a four-valved C tuba (NOT BBb), tenor and bass trombones (as well as valved trombone, but not very often), euphonium, and sousaphone. I want to eventually be able to play F tuba.
Does anyone know any good brands of tubas? I've heard Miraphone was pretty good. I currently am using the school's tuba, which is apparently known to professionals as a "little piggy."

Baritone is my main instrument. Once i get to marching, i will be able to play the marching baritone. Soposily, tubas have the same fingerings as baritone, so i GUESS i could play it if i tryed. sweatdrop I can also play the valved trombone! blaugh (<-- sounds like crud, though.) Oh, and euphonium... sweatdrop

My ombichure (<-- spelling) is too weak to get a decent sound out of that creature, though. :l In time, i hope it will work more easily with me. sad

The only instrument I play is trombone (aside from a little fooling around with the guitar), and I've been playing it for about 5.5 years now. I want to start playing baritone, though, so I could get fingering down. I've never known anything other than the slide... I want to eventually learn trumpet, but then I'd have to learn the fingering and treble clef.

Pure trombone. I wouldn't mind playing the others but I've just never taken the time.
