Mello-phony Band camp. Redneck in a red truck yelling, "GO HOME, YOU ******** FAGGOTS!" We laughed. yeah, thats happened to just about everyone. but usually i'm the idiot yelling at other people.. like "TROMBONES - WE CAN DO IT IN 6 POSITIONS" and "IM GONNA FLUTE YOU" or something just random like "FRAKIN DAMN PICKLES!" (yes, frakin) Oh, anyone else go to the mall and play DDR before band games? its my ritual XD

No, My old school revolved around the Band and the foot ball team, even the foot ball players come to the band competitions and cheered the band on, but after foot ball season was over the school revolves around the Bandand my school was over compasitated with students.

ferretfan1 our marching bang practices in the parking lot and occasionally we get drive bys of people who shout stuff. alot of times after school there will be people who park their cars in the middle of the feild. what happenes is we get as many of the strongest guys we have, and pick the car up and move it! although now we cant because one car was ruined because of it and we didnt wantr to be sued, so we dont do it anymore. Dude I just have to say I love that movie on your siggy. Could you send it to me I would love to use it on ym LJ. Credit would be given. PM me for my e-mail.

Oh, all the time! They're funny though, because of what they say.
At our first outdoor practice this year, the same two drove by twice. Once they shouted "We love band geeks!", and the other time they shouted something else that I can't remember.
Last year, they made fun of us and our director a lot.
...He has us face the opposite end of the field now, away from traffic.
Oh, and last year, the band had to duck down on thet bus when we exited the school. They were afraid the crowd was going to throw things at the bus. There were people lined up at the road, too, it was kind of unnerving.

We usually don't get that...but its funny because there was this one time at band camp my friend was taking me home and a cop pulled him over he asked him "are you going the speed limit?" My friend respond in a freaked out voice "I...I think so" The cop saw his trombone and said " You play in the marching band huh?" And he said "yes" and then he asked me and of coarse I said yes also. He looks at both of us and he tells my friend "be careful I'll just let you off on a warning" My friend almost cried. "AHHH!!!! I thought I was gonna get it!" lol...poor Richard.

I've posted on this before, I'm kinda suprised that its still being posted at.
Anyway, we dont go to CMU anymore we go to a closer campground away from the road... so we dont have anyone honking or anything anymore. xp

When we're marching on the field during school, and the gym class happens to be nearby they'll be all, "Band is gay!" and "You're retarded." that junk. Meh. I don't care, personally, I figure their too stupid for band <3

People don't do anything...or else I'm just oblivious to it all.
And you can always expect it when idiots who think they're too cool for band come by...but then, of course, band nerds are always better.

Ahh... the yelling morons. Gotta love 'em. Actaully, not when they're spitting.
So it's the homecoming game, and the guard (of which I am part of) just got new uniforms. So we're debuting them, they're pretty snazzy. And we're feelin' snazzy. We were lined up behind teh band after pregame and getting ready to go up into the stand (we were on the sidelines) and these guys from the opposing school lean over the railing above us and go, "Hey, you all are hot!" and "Nice job." and proceed to spit on us. COnfusing? Slightly. Rude? Very.
Cars driving by don't bother us anymore, we'd be outside the bandroom practicing afterschool and tons of people would honk and yell various things... I find it amusing.

Dude that really sucks. But our practice field is a parking lot, unless the buses kick us off, and a field, the moon as we call it due to the massive craters in it. At our school we get called "Band Nazi's" and such and people use air horns during our ballad at football games. It all really pisses me off cause we're the only successful program at our school with a few exceptions. No one mocks us openly cause they fear our band director

Our practice field is pretty far back from the road, so we don't really have an issue with people in cars. Our band was horribly small before our new band director, so everyone is too thrilled that they can actaully hear us to scream at us. But one time we were at a football game. I'm in pit and we had to put our stuff on the other side of the field. We won the game, but as took our stuff back to the trailer people spit on us and shouted stuff... That's really the only problem we've had since I've been in marching band though.

One year for band camp we were deprived of a place to march. Well, we had to use a recreational park right by one of the quietist neighborhoods. It didn't go well because people were very angry with the band because we woke them up at like 7:30 with our loud playing. Needless to say, it didn't go well.
