I'm JUST going to look at storylines here cause I've only watched people play^^
I don't know anything about 1-6 or X-2 or XII
I was actually planning to buy X-2 and XII...but lots of people say they're the worst so I'm kinda getting worried.
My least favorite actually doesn't exist for Final fantasy when it comes to storylines...
They all hit me in the head with amazement.
FFVII is so twisted with love triangles and finding oneself, I love it!
FFVIII is so romantic, it made me cry a lot.
FFIX, I really didn't expect much out of this one because of what people said but it was so great! I love happy ending!
FFX: It was unique and romantic and dramatic, just my style
And character attachments! All characters in final fantasy was so easy to get attached..
I literally cried when Zack died in Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core T^T
And it's so fun to watch all the relationships grew as time passes in game.
As for graphics...well...I remember turning on Final fantasy VII at first and was really disappointed cause of graphics. But nevertheless it's my favorite one!
And for final fantasy VIII...I was little disappointed that certain scenes were not cutscenes...But I liked the graphics over all...
for final fantasy IX...I was pretty surprised to see all characters with big heads at first but I really got attached to them at the end that it didn't matter anymore. And I liked all graphics at cutscenes.
for final fantasy X...this one probably has best graphics out of all final fantasy series.

I dint like FF XII so much I just dint like the voices and the gamplay but it was a rly good looking game though

It's impossible to make a bad Final Fantasy. But XII sits at the bottom of the totem pole. I never played it through more than one time. lol

12 had a B.S. Storyline.
10-2 was just stupid
10 was kick a**, titus was such a lame though lol
9 had its moments but pretty damn good
8 also had its moments, good music too
7 dont get me stared on how good this was!!!!
6 never played
5 never played
4 (american ps1) awsome!!
Lots of mini bosses and side quests
3 meh
2 made me want to shoot myself
1 superb

Heh, I really didn't like II either. How is it you've played IV on the PS1 but not V or VI, though?

I say X-2 out of the ones I played. (VII, VIII, X, X-2, XII, Dirge of Cerberus) DoC was ok, and I have to say I love all the other games, including XII, which everyone else in this thread doesn't seem to be a huge fan of...
But yeah X-2 was my least favorite. To me it just kinda destroyed the ending of X, which I thought was amazing. The girl power and the minimal amount of cloting also killed things like Yuna's great personality... She was fine in X and not that great in X-2...
But of course that's just my opinion. smile

XII had a somewhat bland story, I thought and the graphics were, while nice, a little weird. The battle system also ruined it for me.

When the games were first made, the end was supposed to be the end, so adding more is like... baking cookies and THEN putting the chocolate chips in them. Sure, chocolate chips are still good like that, but it's not the same.

No Final Fantasy really sucked, per sae. But X-2 just annoyed the crap out of me, what the heck happened to all the epic FF music? Chocobo training has never been so irritating! And having the main characters change clothes during battles was just plain weird, I mean, where was that idea dug up? Usually, I have a lot of patience if the storyline is good, but this playthrough made me snap.

I'm going to go with X-2 ...it wasn't as exciting as all the other games. It was dissapointing. I've never seen a final boss so damn easy to beat sweatdrop
