Miko gawped after the girl, her questions momentarily forgoten. She quickly follooed behind the older girl, clasping her hands behind her back as she walked beside her.
"I'm not a child. I'll have you now I turned 15 last week. I'm practically an adult, you know. And the name is Miko, not squirt. Miko Nanahara." She poked the tip of her tongue out of her mouth as her eyes travelled ceilingward in thought.
"You know, I think he likes you. He doesn't act that way with most people, you know. He's like one of the biggest flirts in Matrimony. But he looks at you different, ne?" She looked at Jezz once more. "Guess you don't feel the same way? I dunno why. He's cute, ne? He's kinda short, but he can't help that..."

Jezz sighed as Miko continued to follow her wondering why her keeper wasn't pulling the girl back. "Well, don't expect me to remember it squirt, I've used it once so you will probably be called it from now on"
"He's taller than me, sure hes cute, he just frustrates the hell outta me. Like just now he thought i was flirting when i had a ******** knife up to another guy's nuts. And he came over like he owned me and noone owns me. Even if for some reason he seems always worried about me. I'm a big girl and i can handle myself and no one is getting close to me" she paused realizing she had said a little too much. "Look kid go back to your friend, I'm sure you got lots to do or someone else to pry into."

Miko, nodding as she absorbed every wordd gave the girl a smile as she caught her slip.
"Don't worry. People do that around me all the time. you know, catc them saying things that they probably wish had stayed in their heads. It's cool." The tiny girl stopped walking, giving Jezz a friendly wave.
"You're right. I should get back to Nyas-sama. You seem pretty busy fighting your own feelings, anyway, ne? I'll see you around. Maybe I'll stop by your room or something later, to say g'nite or something." Spinning round on her heel, Miko skipped back over to Nyas.

Nyas watched everyone go in different directions, and frowned. She couldn't understand what it was going through this girl's head. It was written all over her face that she was lying to herself. Or it seemed plain enough to Nyas. She shrugged and went after Jezz. Her long legs had her caught up in two strides.
"Oi, Neko-chan, hang on a second. Lemme talk to her for a second." she said, catching the girl by the shoulder. "Hold on there, Jezz, was it?"
She lightly tapped the girl on the shoulder.
"You know...after that gorilla put you under in detention.."
She paused for a second, trying to word what she'd seen. Nyas wasn't all black eyes and punk. She never tried to hide. It was a foreign concept to her, to hide. to deny. She couldn't understand why people would bother trying to keep all those facades. It was too much effort.
"That kid was ready to break down the walls of his cell to come help you. And I think you might be feeling something too, ne?"

Jezz paused and looked at Nyas
"I don't feel anything. And he was probably just angry at the coach in general, I mean the guy is an a**."
It was quite obvious she refused to believe Renji felt anything. "Besides, like they all say, he's quite popular with....well evryone" She stuffed her hands in her pockets and felt the slip of paper. Should she? It wasn't like she didn't have anything else to do.....not like Renji felt like sticking around.

Miko waited, as Nyas told her to, but she was tempted to follow. She rocked from one foot to the other, resisting the urge to hop. She made small talk with passing students, sing the praises of Nyas to anyone wo was stupid enough to drift into her powerful orbit. But every so often she looked beyond the people she was talking to to peek worriedly at Nyas and Jezz.
Nyas had made it perfectly clear thay she had no interest in boy's, though that did little to quell the insane jealousy withn the tiny teen. But Jezz was a girl. In fact, she was a very pretty girl. And taller than Miko. And older, probably more experienced. Miko began to wring her hands worriedly; it took everything in her not to run over to them and shove Jezz away, clutching Nyas' midsection protectively.
She sighed, frowning, and tried to pay attention to the conversation going on around her, to little avail.

Yuusuke took one of the bottles of soda out of his pocket, opened it up, and began to walk down the hallway with his head towards the floor, intending to avoid anyone there - the important people would stop him.
He walked past Jezz and Miko, noticing briefly that the group had diminished. He gave only a slight nod, and walked past, taking a sip of his soda, and giving a slight smile to Jezz.
So what if she had an "ai-chan?" What was he gonna do, beat him up? he thought to himself. Yea, right. That kid would run before I rolled up my sleeves. He chuckled to himself at this thought, saw a bench a little down the hall from Jezz and Miko, just in earshot, and started to walk towards it.

Nyas couldn't help but chuckle as Jezz denied everything. So adamant about it. She refused to believe her. Fine, if she wanted to play like that...No skin off her nose. Nyas grinned at her knowingly, though it would remain to be seen if she interpreted the look or not. She turned on the heel of one steel-toed boot, and headed back to Miko. She looked over her shoulder at Jezz once more.
"You know, it will end up how its supposed to be in the end anyway." she said, lifting her hand in a parting gesture. "Go get your man, Jezz. Ja ne."
She looked back to Miko.
"Well now, pretty missy, what say we beat it. I'm feeling claustrophobic with all these damn people around."
She smiled fondly at the girl and leaned down, hands perched on hips. She gave Miko a quick kiss.

Jezz pursed her lips
"I have no man" she called after her "Nor do i need one." she crossed her arms angrilly. She had no idea why all this was getting to her so easily.
She never let much get to her and here this stupid....the hell with it all.
She unbuttoned a few buttons letting her breathe easier and she unrolled the skirt making it longer and she tossed her hair foreward, messed it up with her hands and then tossed it behind her. She was going to be fine, and nothing had gotten to her, people were just delerious. She started down the hall with the intention of going to her dorm and sleeping the rest of the damned day away.

"Hmph," Yuusuke mumbled, as he watched Jezz walking this direction out of the corner of his eye. He wasn't planning on saying anything to do, just to let her pass.
We'll see. If she wants to talk to you, Futabashi, she'll stop. Either that, or you'll have a knife to your neck for eavesdropping. He chuckled inwardly at this thought. Nah, she was too smart for that...she already knew the knife didn't faze him.
So she didn't need a man, eh? Good. He didn't want a needy girl. The question pressing at Yuusuke wasn't whether she needed one or not - it was whether she wanted one.

Marcus rose from the floor his face red from his hand being pressed firmly into it. He stuffed his hands on his pocket and tracked down the hallway. People everywhere always people. He frowned keeping his eyes to the ground as he drifted around people. Too many people, too crowned... He thought frowning as he splidded by a small group.

Jezz had been about to pass the bench when the flash of blue caught her eye.
"Oi koinu I thought you left. Couldn't stay away huh?"
She paused frowning. Had he heard her shouting at Nyas that she didn't need a man? How much exactly had he heard? She glanced back at the spot she had just been standing. A smirk crossed her mouth and she tried to hide it but failed.
"Well lets see convienent pop in hand, spot just far enough that conversation could be heard....did you enjoy your time eavesdropping? You learn anything interesting? Got the info you need? You know all you need to do is ask, though now I'm not sure I wanna tell you anything."

Miko beamed up at Nyas, delighting in the kiss. She clasped her hands beneath her chin and and began to bounce around Nyas once more. She took a few steps backward, got a running start, and jumped, throwing her arms around the older girl's neck.
"Hee! I knew a running start would work!"
"Oi, you two, get a room already. " Kazz called, hands within his pockets, sleeves to his dress shirt rolled up to his wrists. He smiled at them, not the usual good natured grin, but at least this one wasn't fake or forced.
"Or is that where you're headed?"

Yuusuke looked up at Jezz with a smirk. "Ha!" he said in mock pain, "How dare you accuse me of eavesdropping, hentabito. I asked you where the cafeteria was, ne? So doesn't it make sense that I'd want to sit down and enjoy the drink that you so nicely helped me find?"
He winked at her. "And don't worry yourself, Jezz-san. By the time I got here, even if I WERE eavesdropping," he added, intentionally using too much emphasis, "I've only been here for a few seconds. There would of been nothing to hear.
He stood up, and then said, thinking, "So, why are you so paranoid about people listening? Did you say something you wouldn't of wanted me to hear? Maybe some deep, dark, secret? Maybe it's something to do with your ai-chan, or even something to do with why you're here in the first place? Or...maybe something that would embarass you a bit, ne?"
He trailed off for a few seconds, leaving her in suspense, then added with a flourish, "Or maybe...it's something completely irrelevant, just to get that girl off of your case, ne Jezz-san?"

She glared at him when he mentioned "ai-chan" and she clenched her fists.
"Oi what do you know about anything?" she kicked him in the shin with her big black boot as hard as she could.
As soon as he winced she pulled him down close to her by his tie. Her green eyes bore into his and her face inches closer, her lips just centimeters away from touching his. "I don't get embaressed and I certainly don't have an ai-chan. Watch where you walk koinu, I'd be careful if i was you"
With that she pushed him backwards so he would fall on his a**. Turning and walking away a definiate strut in her step she raised her hand two fingers in the air
"F7" she called out before rounding the corner to the girls dorms
