My Hebrew name is Shifrah Mina bat Sender Dovid v' Penina. I was named after my Zeide's mother and youngest sister who died in Russia. When my mom was pregnant with me, Cousin Marlene was pregnant too and Zeide convinced her to give her baby the same name without telling them he was telling them both that. So I was born first and I got the name. Her Hebrew name is Shira Mina. I was so jealous when we were kids because Shira means song and I thought it was way prettier, heh.

DarkHalcyon YvetteEmilieDupont omg ARE YOU SERIOUS girls are so much more fun to dress up cause they have cute outfits and stuff. sad boys have nice clothes but not as cute as girls. i mean i want boys and girls. ^.^ i'd like more girls than boys but i'm not going to complain or get picky. I'll just be happy if I can have a bunch of healthy kids.. but I do have to have at least one girl... okay maybe two ^.^ sisterly love you know. hee hee girls are so way more fun to dress Gotta take Chaya's side on this one. Little girls also have more fun being dressed up. Not to mention that it's really fun to take my little sister shopping with me (she's 10 now) and Halloween especially, when my mom doesn't mind me giving her outrageous makeup. Nothing was as good as the time I dressed up as Cleopatra in 6th grade, and my mom did my makeup. She's really good at it, no one at school recognized me either. whee Aaahh! Come on guys! Little boys can have little sweaters and glasses. Not to mention...I hope my boys have curly brown hair! Then I'll have so much more fun... whee I dunno why! Boys are just so much more fun to me...Maybe it's because I helped raise my cousin...And she was a spoiled annoying brat. Oh well. rolleyes

I think the closest Hebrew name I have seen to that is the female name Adiel and the male name Adael. Which I think means "Gods Witness". I'm not sure though! sweatdrop

I found the meaning of Adele, it means Noble,kind. So my name means noble princess heart I now love my name.

My Name in Hebrew is the same as it is in English basically. In English it is Samuel Eric, in Hebrew it's Shmuel Ariel. Sh'muel means G-d has heard, although it's been said that it also means In the Name of G-d. Ariel means Lion of G-d. What I find odd is how people equate the name Eric which is Teunic for Kingly with the Hebrew Ariel. oy gevault I'm rambling....lol

It's like naming your kid Ariel and then all you and then all you can think of is,"I want to know what the people know!" So basically you're right...Too many movies.
