Shenelle0 MutantXFactor Before we begin, answer each of the following questions in a separate post:
• Have you ever attended a professional drama performance? Which type of drama was it (play, opera, musical, dance)? • What is the last play you read? Did you enjoy it? • Have you ever seen a musical drama? What type of musical was it? Do you enjoy musicals? • What is your experience with opera and ballet? • Have you watched a film / TV adaptation of a play? Which format did you enjoy most, and why? Opera feels very intense to me, and is not something that I personally am interested in. My daughter is a dancer, and has been for 8 years, so that is a huge part of my life. WORD COUNT: 36 I don't find opera interesting either. I do believe everyone should try new things at least once, so maybe seeing an opera won't be too bad, and even if it is you wouldn't have to do it again!

AnthonyP2001 One of the last plays I have read was actually in this class, It was Our Betters. While I did enjoy the drama it did not seem like the type of story I would enjoy. Word count: 35 The drama in that play is actually pretty nice. However, all the other parts of the play are not very interesting to me. Plays like that don't seem to be my type of literature.

AnthonyP2001 I have attended a professional drama. The professional drama I went to I would consider a play, it was the lion king when they were first starting the shows. I went with my brother and dad when I was very young. Word count: 41 I've never attended a professional drama before. I actually want to see lion king as I've never seen it before and feel like it's just a piece missing from my childhood.

It was nice to see her perform but i probably wouldn't see a professional one myself Word count 38 I haven't seen a professional ballet or an opera before either. I think seeing one would be good for me but I don't think I'd find them interesting.

I have never attended a professional drama performance in the past but would really like to. The only thing relatively close was my younger sister's dance recitals which contained ballet, jazz, hip hop and pop.

The last play that I read was "Sure Thing" by David Ives. I enjoyed the different scenarios each symbolized by the ring of a bell. I also enjoyed experiencing the outcome to each encounter and watching everything fall together.

I have never watched a musical drama. The only musical that I have ever watched was Shrek the Musical when I was young and I enjoyed it verry much. I loved how the songs went with the play.

I have only scene brief scenes from television operas and found their wardrobes and set designs interesting. I have only scene a few ballets when having to go to my sister's recitals in the past but enjoyed how their bodies moved to the music.

I have seen Shrek the Musical on TV before. I assume if would have been a better experience in person, but I was still able to enjoy the set's design and appreciate the work done when changing it in between scenes.

One of the last plays I read was "Othello". The character Othello is driven by jealousy due to manipulation by his ensign, Iago. I remember the play begins with Iago's resentment towards Othello for promoting Cassio over him and his plan to ruin Othello's life by manipulating Othello. At first I did not enjoy the play because I found it hard to understand but I began to enjoy it later on due to the intensity.

I don't have much experience with opera and ballet. The closest I've come to ballet is watching ice skating, and I've never seen opera in person. However, whenever I catch opera performances on TV, I always appreciate the powerful vocal performances they showcase. Word Count:41

I haven't had the chance to watch a film or TV adaptation of a play, but it sounds intriguing. But If I ever watched one I would want it to be a series because I enjoy extended storylines because you are able to get deeply immersed in characters and the plot.
