This was it, and anyone who had watched a match involving a member of the Fusion family knew what was coming - Avari steps back, rushing forward for a Fusion Cutter!*
*A running dropkick/punt to the head

Doubled over, Cyrus glanced to his side to the blurred vision of Avari running at him, and then leaping up. He suddenly, pulled back, narrowly avoiding a kick that was sure to send him to sleep town! The Lion swiftly backpeddled a few more steps before lunging at Avari with a family move of his own, the Last Roar clothesline!

Avari had it in the bag, he just needed to hit the Fusion Cutter and pin Cyrus for the win. Now his boot was going to connect with the head of.. no, he missed.
Avari catches his momentum and almost stumbles, turning back around to - LAST ROAR CLOTHESLINE!
Fusion was flipped 180 degrees on to his face and torso, landing on the mat with an almighty crash!

Avari was down! Dean was down! The Lion was the last man left standing after what felt like a series of fast draws. Dropping to a knee a in front of his newly fallen foe, Cyrus would roll Avari onto his back to attempt the pinfall.

The crowd watched with baited breath as Avari lands on his front, not moving and is rolled over slowly by Cyrus, his dead weight making it even harder - not to mention the fatigue that each of these men must be going through.
The ref slides over and starts the pinfall..
One!
...
Two!
...
Three!

The Lion held his breath and time seemed to have slowed down as one by one, the three slaps against the canvas could be heard through a moment of sheer silence.
The silence was then suddenly broken, replaced by the roaring cheers of the fan, echoing through the arena. Cyrus rolled over onto his back, hands over his face in disbelief.
After a moment, the opening sequence for Welcome to Jungle finally rung out over the PA.
Oh my god... Wooooooooooooaah! "Here is you winner, and King of the Canvas, Cyrus Leone!"

Avari took a few seconds laid out on the mat as the music rang out across the arena, before slowly rolling on to his stomach and then sliding up to his knees. He sat contemplating what had just happened, palms down on his quads, head down in defeat.
He was close, so close, seconds away from securing the King of the Canvas throne in his debut year in the company. He was one Fusion Cutter away from standing on top of the mountain, ready to face the World Heavyweight Champion, and the potential of avenging what happened to his father.
Fusion slowly made his way to his feet, looking over at Cyrus, who was so enveloped in emotion that he had his hands over his face. He made a slow walk over, before reaching down and taking the hand of his opponent, and offered to bring him up to his feet.
If he accepted, Avari would look to offer a gentleman's handshake and say some words of congratulations to his worthy adversary.

Reaching out the Lion accepted the hand extended to him, pulling himself back onto his feet. Now standing face to face with one he just did battle with, Cyrus paused as he gazed around the cheering fans before giving the younger star's hand a shake. The finals proved to be a rough back and forth with all three participants giving everything they had in the ring. Throughout the tenure of his career, the Lion had not had a match quite like that.
"I'll see you again soon I think."

Avari, although disappointed in the result, was more than pleased with the overall match and how pleased the fans had been the whole time. He gave Cyrus a smile and replied back,
"I hope we meet in this ring again soon, best of luck in your Championship match."
With that Avari gives Cyrus one more firm shake and walks off to the ropes, stepping between the second and third rope. Waiting for a moment on the apron he applauds the crowd, who give him a big cheer back. Dropping to the mats, Avari walks up the ramp slowly, clapping hands with fans on the way back.
