Sadie Avamir Roll Total: 13
Odd gravity or no, eventually she made it to the portal and the laser bolts coming closer and closer to her skin gave way to something else.
Something dark as dark, twisted, and dense. There was no comfort, here. Sadie wouldn't be anywhere close to comfortable until she found herself back in the ballroom. She kept running, not waiting for something to go wrong this time. It wasn't a surprise when the roar rang out through the valley, although it still made her blood turn to ice for a moment.
At least the gravity was back to normal here, and she was able to find her stride again. She was almost catching up with the main crowd, picking her way nimbly over rocks and fallen branches.
Then her depth perception got the better of her and she crashed right into a low hanging branch. Her shoulder stung, and it sent her stumbling. She tripped again, in some hidden divot in the ground this time. She kept running, but her balance was off for yards and yards. At least she didn't seem so close to whatever was lurking this time around.

Daisy Grace [roll total = 4 + 3 + 3 = 10]
Upon falling through the next tear and finding herself in a forest, Daisy almost laughed. She certainly relaxed a little bit. Why, forests were easy! Her homeworld was essentially a big forest.
At the sound of a fearsome roar, she quickly lost any hint of cockiness and simply ran. And thanks to her stupid heels, managed to trip over ever rock and root in the path. At one point, she was certain that the whatever-it-was that had roared was about to grip her neck in it's jaws. She was cursing her clumsiness, whatever had sucked them all into this world and the strange and terrifying static that kept chasing the group deeper in.
As she threw herself into the next tear, she cried out, convinced that she had felt claws stripe her back.

Felicity Total 7 3 + 2 + 2
Through the tear in the air she went, and Felicity bristled as she found herself in... a forest. A forest? A creepy, dark, forest? Ugh. Again she ran. Ran from that all-consuming static, ran from the crowd, ran from whatever was trying to eat them. Horror now, fantastic! She stumbled and tripped nearly every ******** step she took, shrieking when she felt something nearly slash her arm. Again, she shoved people, not at all caring if they got maimed or trampled. Better them than her. Still, she couldn't find Jai, and her pulse thundered more from the fear of how he was managing, than the fear of the creature behind her.

Jericho Total 8 2 + 2 + 4
From Sci-Fi to Horror. Interesting.
He didn't mind the large forest--he did wonder how much Cabhan must love this setting, though. He managed to keep his footing for the most part, even helping up some others who were tripping or wobbling on the uneven ground. So many people in high-heels didn't help, that's for damn sure. The creature that continued to roar and rage behind them, along with that static, was more or less out of his focus as he more had to contend with the terrain. He grit his teeth as a root caught his foot, causing him to stumble into a tree to catch himself. But he managed, pushing off it and continuing on towards the next tear in the air.

Kailey Total 19 3 + 10 + 6
If she tripped over one more ******** root...
The creepy, spooky forest was not an upgrade from the Sci-Fi setting. Not one ******** bit. She was losing her footing far more here, having to pull off her heels and run barefoot or risk breaking an ankle. Which, running barefoot through the forest? Not fun. Her toes were likely bruised to hell at this point. Especially with how often she kept tripping on s**t...
But it beat getting ripped up by whatever was chasing them. So. Silver linings.

Réalta Total 27 10 + 10 + 7
So much for her earlier cat-like grace helping her out. Realta grit her teeth as she stumbled into a tree, making it over a log awkwardly but still with enough speed to keep her far ahead of that creature back there. The sparkling light in the air, the gateway to the next genre was up ahead, and they were all moving ever closer. Considering the creepy static and the hostile monster attacking them here in Horror, it was all good motivation to keep their asses moving ahead as quickly as possible.

Luca Krantz's Roll Total: 9 + 10 + 1 = 20
In the vast and dense forest, Luca's sense of direction and survival utterly flushed itself. She wasn't sure where to run at first, and then, quite suddenly, the beast could be heard. She took off running in the only direction she could see, only to nearly faceplant after tripping on a root or rock or something. Grumbling, she yanked her heels off, as they had ceased to do her any good, only to feel distinct breath at her back. She barely even had time to utter a curse as she leapt to her feet and took off, the grass not feeling quite right under her feet.
That was not good. Forget senshi strength and the possibility of throwing an egg at this beast; there wasn't even time to throw a rock or stick. This was bad. Luca would make it, but that was the definition of a close call.

Marta Harmon's Roll Total: 1 + 5 + 4 = 10
Marta whined as her heels got snagged on damn near everything. She could probably just rip them off, but she didn't think she had time for that. The beast behind her would eat her long before she undid all those straps. In a brief, bright moment, she realized that there was, in fact, something she could do about this.
Except she couldn't. She hadn't even bothered bringing her henshin pen. The depths of her own idiocy stunned her. From hereon out, she was going to have to be more prepared.
She made it, eventually, but not without feeling incredibly awkward with herself.

Justine Lawrence's Roll Total: 10 + 9 + 5 = 24
Justine was going to freaking boatmurder whoever invented heels and made them socially necessary for high class events for women. Like, seriously inflict a violence. Travel back in time and inflict a major mangling.
Grunting, Justine yanked her heels off, but that cost her some time, and she very distinctly heard a tree come crashing down. Whatever was there was huge and not to be trifled with.
She'd brought her henshin pen as a just in case measure (though she really just wanted to enjoy herself in her own way), yet when she tried to access her power, it felt like the call for power just diffused and crackled away. This was a no power zone. Talk about a singularly dangerous bummer. She made it, but less cleanly than she'd like.

[Jaidev Vaswani: 5 + 5 + 10 = 20]
The next fun-filled location on this little wacky tour of the worlds gave Jaidev pause. It didn't feel like some fantasy or science fiction environment--in fact, it might have been nice, if not for the static eating away at the world behind their puzzled group of partygoers. He might have stayed, except that he felt the next terror's approach even before he hard its roar. The ground rumbled, and Jaidev was off, watching his feet and dodging obstacles, finding a speedy path through the forest as he navigated to the next rift.
He'd never laid down for any danger in his life. He wasn't about to start doing it now, not when he could see the next rift and the next hop, hopefully closer to actual safety and freedom from this awful, awful marathon.

[Jolene Moriarty: 1 + 6 + 5 = 12]
Jolene actually felt like she was doing okay, now. Sure, she'd practically tripped over her own feet with the first attack, but now, she had them firmly under her, and maybe she wasn't having the best of luck running? But she was still managing, and not trailing far behind anymore.
She took a deep breath, taking in the scenery--a gorgeous forest, somewhere she could imagine pausing to stay for a long, long while if it were at all safe.
But it wasn't.
There was a rumbling, and a roar, and she could hear the monster approaching, so even without looking back top see the consuming static, she knew: once again, it was time to run for the next rift in space. She grit her teeth, and leapt forward, racing through the trees. As a non-athlete, she found herself occasionally tripping and nearly stumbling, but she never fell or faltered, and that was enough. She was going to make it out. She was sure of it.

[Levi Burningham: 7 + 3 + 7 = 17]
A strange, eerily beautiful forest. Levi had to pause for a moment at the entrance to this next world to take it in, though he wasn't still long. He started walking even before anything was warning him to, because he could see the static closing in and the next rift in the distance, and all he wanted was to get home. To his sister, to his friends, to everyone back there.
When he heard the monster's roar, he picked up his pace, and while the going wasn't exactly smooth, at least he was going. He ran, deeper into the wood, and felt his heart pound as he did. He almost took a fall a few times, bumping into branches and stumbling over logs, but he never went down, and he was able to continue at a pretty steady run.
The good news was, he was getting closer to his escape--and the monster didn't seem to be getting closer to him.

[Caerwyn Hesperos: 9 + 4 + 10 = 23]
This time, Caer didn't even hesitate. He was tired of this, tired of strange locales and angry monsters, and he just wanted to go home. The faster he booked it through these woods, the sooner he'd be able to curl up with Salem and Freya and forget this ever happened. So he charged forward, ducking and dodging through the woods, and grit his teeth together. He was going to get out of this. He was going to go home.
And no growling, rumbling monster in the woods was going to stop him. Neither were the woods themself--he could dodge around branches and skip over logs with ease, and he found himself glad for all the physical work he and Caledonite had done. The Caerwyn who had first let Caledonite carry him home never would have been able to do this, but here he was, now--strong and quick and capable.
