Watching Hexxis just leaving, he nodded, "Better than the other option." he mumbled, "Yeah.". Zephyr moved to a patch of shadows and looked back at Melody, "Should we go about it in our own ways?" he asked, wanting to see if Melody wanted to join him in the shadows again, or if she wanted to go about it her own way.
"Figured I can try and get the jump on at least one of them if I use shadows." he chuckled.

Melody nodded, "Try to see if you can find Alice, and I'll try to cause a distraction..." she spoke, wanting to be alone with her thoughts for just a moment.
There was a shriek from the floor above, something filled with anguish and anger before something exploded upstairs. There were people moving within the shadows, back and forth, possibly trying to escape from the chaos above.
Melody looked to Zephyr serious. "Zephyr, hurry." she spoke and took off running into the hallway.

Looking towards Melody, Zephyr was hesitating for a second, then the explosion happened. Taking a breath, he muttered "Blaise..." as he took a couple steps towards some nearby shadows. "Be safe." Zephyr stated before delving into the shadows and looking for the one he only recently found alive again in his own world - Alice.
"Alice, where are you?" he asked himself as he kept to the shadows.

There was a silence just upstairs now. The explosion appeared to have either eliminated, knocked out, or deterred anyone in that area. Shadows continued to move.
In the rubble of upstairs, Alice was unconscious in the hallway, Kira's dead body not too far from her. Hexxis was running up and slowed to gaze on the scene before approaching Alice's body, sword brandished as she was obviously going to deliver a killing blow with such an opportunity.

Seeing that his teammate was downed and that Hexxis was there too, Zephyr lunged out of the shadows and moved to tackle her from the right side, trying to pull the shadows with him as he did.

Hexxis raised the sword up and moved to swing, and only caught a glimpse of the movement of shadows just before she was tackled to the ground, her sword hitting the tile and sliding away from her. She made a soft grunt of pain in her surprise from the situation. She looked at him and she stared at him with a faint flicker of surprise. Hesitating for a moment, she tried to grab the nearest piece of large glass quickly to try to defend herself with.

Smiling that the tackle worked, Zephyr quickly moved to his feet, "Heya." he waved a tiny little bit as he took half a step back to get a little closer to where Alice was. "Fancy seeing you here, huh?" he asked as he tilted his head. While he did need to take things seriously as he was in a death game, it did help to stall and confuse people and he seemed to be decent at doing that. At least when it came to Hexxis.
"Lovely weather we're having, huh?" Zephyr took another step back, hoping to nudge against Alice at some point as he did so.

The moment he got off of her, she rolled backward up onto her feet, grabbing her sword in one swift movement, almost graceful in the way she made it seem effortless. Her eyes were more red and blue now than when they were brown and blue in the day. She took a step forward and pointed the sword at him. She stared him down, saying nothing, narrowing her eyes in a mix of anger and pain. She clenched her teeth, stepping a little closer, sword pointed at his throat, getting very close.

Zephyr smiled a little sadly, "I'd rather not fight you right now, so.. I won't." he stated and ducked down and grabbed onto Alice and moved to teleport into the shadows, not wanting to fight when he had a wounded teammate. That, and he didn't want to fight against Hexxis with this much rubble around. It would be a little hard for him to maneuver, if he was to be honest.

Hexxis frowned faintly as Zephyr took Alice and retreated into the shadows. She simply turned and ran off to find others to fight. Taking note of who was downed and texting Oblivion the results of the altercation. As she moved to the stairs and stopped as she received a message back. Frowning she pocketed her phone and sighed. She then moved upwards to the roof at a normal pace.
All the movement finally woke up Alice as she groaned a bit.

Having moved Alice down a floor and into a room that seemed like it was untouched, Zephyr sighed as he kept watch, not wanting anyone to sneak in on them while the other was recovering. Hearing her groan, he glanced over, "Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked before turning his attention back towards the door. After a moment, he moved towards a section of shadows and put his hand on it, wondering if he should check in on Melody or not.

Alice sighed, "I feel like I've been hit by a truck.... What happened to Blaise... I remember killing Kira and then Blaise flipped out and exploded...." she recalled, putting a hand on her head.

"I'm not sure, she wasn't there by the time I got up to where you were. Hexxis was about to stab you through the gut though." He stated rather nonchalantly, moving his hand away from the shadows and sighing. "I'm starting to wonder who all is left, though.." he murmured, bringing his hand up to his chin and thinking.

Alice frowned, a chill running down her spine. "...thanks for that... Hexxis would have killed me for sure." she sighed and ran a hand through her head. "Lets see.... Zaku.... Blaise and Oron..... Oblivion and Hexxis.... then the three of us." she listed off. "Speaking of... where is Melody?"

"She said she was going to run as a distraction while I went to find you.. I can go try and find her.." Zephyr let out a soft sigh, "I'm wondering if it might be best that once we find her to just head out for the night, or if we should try and get anyone else." he scratched the back of his head, thinking as he went back towards the shadows.
