Off the rebound came Aleks Mason, where Matt would look to lift him off the canvas and bring him down to the mat with a tilt-a-whirl body slam!

Matt would take down Aleks Mason, now being on all fours. He would then look over to the turnbuckle, looking to bust out a last resort move. A move that won him his first championship ever, three years ago when he defeated one prestigious champion, and looked to do the same to the next.. Matt would crawl over and looked to lift himself up to his feet with the use of the ropes!

Climbing the top turnbuckle with his back towards Aleks Mason, he would look to now be standing on the top turnbuckle. Looking at the fans, Matt would then look to land a Phoenix Splash onto Aleks Mason!

While Matt stood on the top turnbuckle facing away from Aleks, he'd attempt to climb to his feet and cut him off with a strike to the back!

The Phoenix Splash would connect and the audience would pop to their feet since this move had a very low kick out rate, and now the pressure was on Aleks Mason and the Mason Club! Matt would then crawl in and hook his leg for the cover to secure the most historic victory of all time!

Mason would attempt to power out, kicking out at the last possible moment!

The referee would count and the fans counted along as well, but surprisingly Aleks Mason kicked out at the last possible second, nearly two and 9 dimes! two and 99 pennies! Matt would sit up in shock as he would begin to pull on his own hair in shock!

Mason himself was shocked he had kicked out on time, barely able to hear the referee's count before he had popped his shoulder up. He slowly rolled towards the ropes, rolling under the bottom rope but remaining on the outside apron.

Matt would get to one knee trying to recuperate the punishment he sustained in the match thus far, trying to hang in there. He would then rise to his feet.

Mason would hold his gut after the big splash, however he couldn't rest forever. While on the outside apron, he would use the ropes to aid him in getting up to his feet.

As Mason was slowly beginning to get up, Matt would take his sweet time walking to where he was, trying to lift him up to his feet, placing his hands over the top rope to try and lift Aleks Mason up completely who was on the apron

With Matt having a grip on Mason, he would attempt to thrust his shoulder into Matt's gut.
