Sumiko caught the headband that her atlernate reality self had thrown at herself. Man these time travel reality bending shows were getting confusing. Clutching the headband, she looked down to see a familiar symbol. The same swirl that represented her family was prominent in the middle of the band. Sumiko hesitated for a moment before tying the headband around her head. The weight felt strange, but more than the weight of the band, the gravity of the situation was weighing down on her. She was a real shinobi now. No more kidding around and sleeping in everyday. Now she had to train and was expected to fight.
Turning to Shinsei, Sumiko watched as he too received his own headband. Sumika had failed to give them any instructions, so whatever was supposed to happen next was a mystery to her. The comment she made once he explained he was new her certain was a bit funny. He kind of envisioned the academy being like that, especially with how uptight his parents claimed they were going through it. Ezra didn't have any intentions on turning out like they did. Stuck on outdated ways.
"The odds of someone coming any time soon is very short if we're going to get an assignment, I mean, that's what I believe." He put a finger on his chin, debating what should be done as a better time consumer. The idea of going off and getting things done without waiting sounded like the better idea than just sitting around. "Well, I think it's better if we go and get things done, rather than just sitting here.

Jun nodded her head in agreement. Do something they shall, but what was there to do? There was a board of generic missions to run through posted in the halls of the academy. She just wasn't sure what needed permission. Just then a bell rang and people began spilling out of the classroom. They clamored through the door, leaving behind all sorts of detritus from the work they never actually bothered to get done.
There was a moment of silence after that with Jun and Ezra being the last two left. "I guess maybe we should clean the place up." With a sigh she rose to her feet and got to work. Jun started at the back of the room and began grabbing the discarded pieces of paper.
"So, where are you from? You said this was your first day, are you new to the islands?" Jun wasn't a local herself. She had come from far away when her family needed a new and safe place to live. She was only a little girl back then and memories of the past had long since faded in to hazy memories. The land of whirlpools was all she really remembered now. Well, that and the real world behind this one. That conversation was neither here nor there, so she didn't bring it up. One by one she balled up the old papers and tossed them towards the bin by the front, occasionally making one in but mainly missing.

The sudden bell did catch Ezra off guard, but it was nothing too frightening. On the flip side though, the shape that the room was in after all of the other students left certainly did shift his current feelings. Almost groaning at the sight, he just shook his head a bit and laughed at it. He turned to jun, raising an eyebrow when she suggested to clean the room up.
"This is a lot of stuff to clean up."
Standing to his feet, he began looking around to see where he can start. He eventually found an area that had a few crumpled pieces of paper on the opposite side of the class room, contrast to where the garbage can was. Seeing this, he gave a grin and began heading towards the pieces of paper. After watching Jun shoot papers, he decided he would try it too.
"I'm from here, my parents are ninja here and I rarely see them, so I basically live alone."
Grabbing the first ball of paper, he pretended that he was dribbling it off of the classroom floor. Almost immediately, after he faked 3 dribbles, he stepped back and shot the ball from the other side off the room directly towards the trashcan. The first one went in and up went his arms.
"And he scores!"
He said at normal volume before doing a fake crowd cheer and laughing at the end. He repeated the process for the other two balls, missing one out of the two. The smile he had since he started shooting the pieces of papers remained as he began asking Jun questions.

As Koutetsu left with Autolearn-sensei, He looked briefly only to see Chie-sensei lift a massive gate over her head as though it were nothing. I will never argue with sensei again, he thought to himself, impressed by what he had seen. Following Wren and Autolearn-sensei down various halls to a safer location away from the action, Koutetsu wondered what he might learn from this new sensei, "Sensei, what sort of jutsu will we be learning?"
"Techniques important for every ninja and those related to your elemental chakra natures," Autolearn Sensei droned back, his voice a dull monotone as the party entered into an indoor training hall. Turning back to the two students, Mr. Autolearn pulled a couple papers from a pouch at his waist, "Wren Senju and Koutetsu Kajibamaru, you both have shown aptitude for Suiton and Doton techniques according to your profiles. Along with your unique bloodline traits. We will begin there," he said in his flat, unscintillating voice as he slowly sank into the ground.

"Sensei?" Koutetsu questioned in surprise as the non-descript shinobi sank into the ground. Looking around, he found Mr. Autolearn over by a small pool of water. Continuing to drone on, as if he had not just attacked one of his students, "Mizu no Yaiba [ Water Sword ] is a jutsu that forms a blade of water, depending on the chakra added it may or may not be strong enough to combat a live blade. However, it is an excellent way to make up a weapon on the go and it breaking may provide you an opening.to use other techniques," Koutetsu looked down just as he felt a cord tie itself around his ankles and he found himself hanging upside down staring at the instructor who was now getting on his nerves.
" Ayatsuito no Jutsu [ String Reeling Technique ] is an excellent way to temporarily bind an opponent in order to hit them with a powerful attack." Koutetsu muttered to himself, "I take it back, Chie-sensei can teach us instead. Two thousand days doesn't seem so bad," channeling chakra down to the ropes, he loosened them enough to slip out and fall to the floor. Getting back up he bit back a desire to try for payback and instead tried to focus on the jutsu lesson.

Jun chuckled underneath her breath at Ezra's antics clapping her hands along with the crowd he was imitating. She had pretty much stopped cleaning and was instead sitting down with her feet up on one of the desks, a pile of forgotten trash left on the floor next to her. A few more shots were taken at the trash can as she spoke. None of them made it in.
“My family is from a place that probably doesn't exist anymore. It's one of those like tragic backgrounds where your whole clan is wiped out except like a few of you guys so instead of just hanging around and being a big target you all split up and go to opposite ends of the world.” Jun didn't seem too phased by what she had said.
She shrugged and got to her feet while picking up the trash around her the handfuls were deposited into a trash can and she went and erased the silly markings left on the board before clapping her hands together to get rid of the dust.
“We pretty much never lived anywhere in particular we only settled here recently I say about like two years ago. Now it's just me, dad, mom, and the rest of this village.”
With that the room was pretty clean. June snapped and clapped her hands together at the same time and pointed over to Ezra.
“Alrighty, Dot. You get to pick what we do now.”

Ezra would jokingly bow at Jun's clapping before hopping onto a desk and sitting down.
"Well, I wouldn't say that I'm not exactly in the same boat to be honest. If anything, I haven't met too many other Senju. In a way, I don't really have a clan. Weird as that may be, I think the reason I haven't met any other senju is due to us moving into the heart of this place. Typically a clan would live together, but we just live in our own little home."
The first task since he's come to this academy has been completed, now it's just a matter of what to do next. That's actually something that needs to be figured out considering he really doesn't know too much to do here already.
"Uhh...I'm not too sure actually. Maybe we can go find a Jounin, maybe they have something we can do. I think that if we look hard enough, we might find something worthwhile."
He said giving a shrug and a childish smile.

It was done. Chie was beyond confused when the ghost of christmas past popped out of the girl's body. Chie was never much of a religious person, despite the fact that her mentor practiced the most prevalent religion in Uzu. When the ghost faded Chie dropped her ninjutsu and looked at Sadayo, who had the unconscious Kyomei. "I just want you to know. If she spouts that nonsense about ninja being the wrong way of life by my academy again, then I will have her arrested for treason." She said sternly. She was beyond frustrated with the fact that she wasn't able to mouth off the spirit while it was around because of the fact that she had to play support to Sadayo. She left without any need to continue discussion with the girl.
When she returned to academy, she was beyond confused when the red haired girl and the teenager academy boy had headbands. "Where did you steal those from?" She said with her arms crossed. She clearly was not aware that they were given headbands by another ninja in the village. Meanwhile, as Koutetsu fell to the exhaustion of Mr. Autolearn, man sighed at the boy's exhaustion. "This is not the time for such weakness. As a detention sentence, you are expected to go through much more." He said as he moved to his desk. He was ready to keep training, but he also felt tired. Maybe it was time to nap? He could use a nap. Only if he was sure the kids kept training, however.

The limitations of this are as such. First of all, the technique works passively only up to one rank below Chie's current Korabo level. This means that if Chie's Korabo level is A-ranked then it can only be used at a B-ranked potential, which means that Chie can only Korabo two B-ranked techniques to use the korabo skill at A-ranked. This assures that this benefit does not allow the user to passively perform techniques one rank higher than they can usually. Second of all, this technique only applies when Chie korabo's with herself. If she korabos with an ally or a clone then this benefit is non-applicable. Like that, the two of them graduated. They were Genin -- a day long experience, though Shinsei of course didn't mind that fact. Being a seventeen year old Academy Student was far from suave, and now that he held a headband within the two of his flattened palms, he could immediately feel his confidence swell.
Glancing upward to Sumiko, the Senju blinked once and pressed his lips together, trying to lead them onto a plan of action. "I think we should learn jutsu from Mr. Autolearn," the Genin stated, nodding once. "Before we can really do anything, we need to further our arsen--" he stopped. Chie approached them, finally taking notice of them. Only to discover that they held headbands in their palms, Shinsei halfway to wrapping his around the circumference of his skull.
"We didn't steal them," he said, bluntly. His expression was, of course, typical -- little enthusiasm, though there was a tint of frustration in his voice as he detected the genuine nature of Chie's question. She really believed they'd stolen headbands?
"Sumika gave them to us," Shinsei told her, dropping a name. One that he, himself, did not really know. "She gave us a graduation examination. I apologize if you wanted to, but..." he bit his lower lip, "I guess things didn't work out. We still have more to learn, though, if you want to help us out. It's up to you." Of course, he wanted Chie to continue teaching them, anyway. But she was an Academy Teacher, not...
Well, the 'sensei' of the whole village. He would've understood if she sent them... elsewhere.

It definitely seemed like everyone had definitely been affected by the calamitous event of war. Families became broken and separated by miles of treacherous land. Now everyone was just trying to rebuild their lives. Jun knew that even her family had taken to living a simpler life. They had no desire to lend yet another country their abilities to be abused. It was only because Jun rarely ever wanted to do anything so strongly that they supported her honing her abilities with shinobi. It was dangerous. For Jun, it was necessary.
"Maybe we can get some training done. I know I have a load of the basics to learn. Here, let me show you what we were going over."
Jun picked up a piece of chalk and took to writing on the board everything she remembered from the lessons she had mostly spaced out in. If she could just pass this on to Ezra they wouldn't need to sit around waiting for someone to come and tell them to clean another classroom or do exactly what she was about to do.
"The training was mostly about chakra. You know, molding spiritual and mental energy together to create some things. I've already learned a few abilities but I'm kind of a sucky teacher."
She drew out the two connecting energies and a sketch of a basic chakra flow. Next Jun began to create the element wheel. Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, Water.
""Everyone does it differently. They taught us all the handseals but that just didn't stick with me. It felt weird trying to focus my chakra through my hands, I have my own way of casting these techniques. Find your own and that'll be your base for every kind of jutsu. Even if you don't specialize in ninjutsu the basics are pretty handy. Transformation, Clone, Release, Substitution, Act of Water Walking, Act of Tree Climbing. Those are considered the 'starter' abilities and honestly they are worth knowing. From there you can practice whatever element you tap in to. My family specialize in a unique combination of Lightning and Fire, though I'm not necessarily a ninjutsu specialist."
Jun took a step back and replaced the piece of chalk, nodding at her handy work. It was fairly representative to what she had seen, plus a few added doodles of her teacher as a caricature of himself yelling at people to pay attention.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I figured that there's a lot of things that I need to catch up on. Better late than never in this instance."
Ezra would hop off of the desk that he previously had stationed himself on and approach the board where Jun was writing. He listened closely to her explanation about the current activities that were taking place within the school. While he isn't new to these kind of techniques, they don't qualify under the list of what he has mainly spent his time on doing up to this point in his life.
"I don't think I've had too much trouble when handling hand seals. In the times that I was taught how to work them, we mainly focused on the inherited ninjutsu that I have, which is wood. Usually that's the type of ninjutsu that I fight with considering it doesn't take much more than the shift of a hand."
He would place a finger on his chin and shrug. He felt like since we were going through points that the two would eventually learn, he figured he should throw in something about Taijutsu. Looking around, he would find a piece of chalk to start drawing.
"Well, I feel like if you can become well rounded knowing both ninjutsu and taijutsu to an extent, you really wouldn't have to worry about about being a specialist. Typically today, we see people with little taijutsu training but mostly ninjutsu training. The problem I see there is what would one do when gravely low on chakra?"
He began drawing taijutsu hand to hand movements and arrows pointing to important areas that make the move's what they are. Something like the Dynamic entry, these things rely strongly on the legs and can deal a great amount of damage when used correctly.
"All I'm saying is that we should know more about hand to hand fighting. This would give us big advantages when in a tight situation, at least that's what I was taught when learning when learning this. There's certain teaching that I seek to learn eventually, It's a strong form of taijutsu but it can get deadly."

The puppeteer unrolled her creation and angled its head just right to form a makeshift slide out of its open jaws. Like a slippery rogue larvae refusing to be devoured, Sadayo seemed to effortlessly escape from Senzakou's mouth (it was really a tight squeeze, another hideous design flaw, and sliding out was harder than it looked but she wouldn't share that). It was completely unknown to her that Kyomei was knocked out. Last checked, the smol girl was being hugged by a cable and despite not being herself was conscious. Sadayo crawled over to the other-side of Nirami. Upon standing she found Teacher and kyomei who was certainly no longer awake.
The girl pointed at Kyomei and looked at Chie. Her neutral-expression act, for now, was long gone and replaced with a perplexed frown. Sadayo weakly pointed at Kyomei as she tried to ask the teacher a question. "Did you..? Did..." No, she wasn't going to formulate a complete question. There were too many thoughts connecting the dots in Sadayo's brain to build an idea of what happened. In no time at all, it seemed, the puppeteer felt as if all the color was leaving her person to leave behind a white, terrified, form.
"I look like a total liar now..." There wasn't obvious proof that Chie caused the knock out which, for all Sadayo knew, could have happened after she rushed Kyomei into the cage. Hitting one's head on solid wood isn't fun anyway its sliced. "Oooh noo... I... I wonder if Kyomei could protect me from her own father?" Aramana appeared. The gnawing fear and worry subsided as he spoke. Mostly. Sadayo observed in earnest. She may have to really put this moment to memory if she were even going to attempt to help Kyomei find something worth while to hold onto. The smol form who was Kyomei was studied with a somber look on Sadayo's face. The puppeteer lost home, worldly affections, livelihood, and a number of those she found worth-while to be call friends. Her immediate family escaped. What Kyomei had left perished. Aramana's last parting words stifled the thoughtful course of ideas and Sadayo bowed her head as a weak smile crossed her face. No real change could have come from one act and nothing worth too much to a dead man.
The three operatives who must have been sent to respond to the Rashomon and Kyomei were moving in. Sadayo only dismissed three puppets off the bat to leave behind the pangolin and samurai. She managed to reclaim her impassive guise and held firmly on as Chie barked out her brief chew-out. Arrested for treason? A holy person? Arresting a holy person because their religious veiws disagree with violence may as well be a sin. The laws here could be more bonkers then she anticipated.
In regards to the three operatives, there was limited the girl could offer despite probably knowing all they'd want to know. With the effort of lifting her hand, Sadayo brought the puppet's tongue up to her reach. "Don't count your chickens. She's no real threat to anyone any other day of the week." The girl plucked the staff from her puppet's grip and rattled its rings. "See, a monk's staff but no monk, exactly. But, I've never asked what religious doctrine she follows. I know, with absolute certainty, that she had a run-in with a fairly enduring spirit .” It was a complete mystery just how much, if any at all, any of these operatives embraced their spiritual side. To Sadayo’s memory there is some important person buzzing about whose all about religion and being important holds some form of credibility, right? She wouldn't be able to give anyone a name or the description of the majorly religious wing-bat she thought of. This ordeal felt like a huge gamble.
"In the time i've known Kyomei, actually going through with making a mess of things is unlike her. I can assume it was the spirit who took advantage of her grieving state.” Blame the dead to save the living, aye? Alas, if only this event had only taken place within the Hidden Sand. At least in the Wind Country, Sadayo would have a lofty buffer of authority to stand on and not have to worry about the strength of her credibility. Here, in the Whirlpool, the puppeteer was just a nosy nobody who so far held a few years worth of unsullied, crime-free occupancy to stand on. She sought to maintain some degree of professionalism in her "report" to show this wasn't her first adventure (and not her first dealings with a matter she's only scratched the surface of).
As for the content of the report Sadayo had no reason to lie but no towering reason to admit her concerns that dabbled onto the truth of the matter. Sadayo felt partially responsible for unintentionally allowing damage to the school to happen even if a bitter, fatherly spirit was in the mix by telling Kyomei that expressing herself was OK.
"If you absolutely must take her then you have to take me too. Please understand that it is my moral responsibility to look after a fellow refugee." On that statement alone, Sadayo felt as if she could really hold her head high on the sense of pride from the value of friendship. The most cheese-y feeling she's had all day.

Jun drew a simple image on the board. It was a person with their eyes closed, and a third eye opening upon their forehead. She didn't elaborate on it but that was where her aim was directed at. Learning tai and nin would be helpful, yeah for sure. Illusions were where her interests were piqued though.
That's what the formless abilities are for. Everyone, even people with noodle arms like me, can learn a thing or two about physical fighting. Speaking of, I should probably get some of those basics in. Let's head over to one of the gyms, maybe there's someone who can show us some stuff. If not we can just figure it out on our own.
Jun dusted her hands off as she walked out of the class room, taking a left and heading further in to the academy. As they walked the sounds of training grew louder and louder. People were exclaiming with their attacks, small booms went off with activated abilities, loud thuds from weapons connecting with dummies. She passed a few of them that seemed a bit over crowded until there was a relatively empty one.
"It takes me a second to rev up when I dive in to training."
Jun said this as she sat on the floor, crossing her legs and settling in. She rolled her shoulders and nodded her head affirmatively at Ezra. A little meditation before busting out ability after ability helped ease the process. Jun found herself less exhausted after this process. She focused on honing her chakra, moving her lips in words without sound. Her aura began to spread outward, starting from her forehead just like the picture she had sketched out. It was a hypnotic pattern, wave after wave of soft colors emanating from her being. At first it was chaotic, bulging and shivering in shape. The longer she was at it, the more uniform it became.
Jun kept at it, feeling herself become centered. Practicing these abilities with someone who also had very little experience felt nice. They would have to use each other as supports for this endeavor. Her chakra cloak began to reach its full display of her strangeness. The pattern that held layered over itself so many times it was confusing to try and decipher where one ended and another began. She seemed peaceful in this manner, relaxed and focused. When she felt ready Jun unfolded her legs and rose to her full height.

Ezra watched as she began drawing on the board again, it was an interesting sight to see. Ezra's immediate thought was that this was centered on the idea that the mind has power that can be stronger than Tai and Nin at times. Maybe she was more interested in the idea of tricking the mind of an opponent. In the right hands, that would most certainly be a dangerous weapon to use.
"The formless style can be a good substitute. Still, I feel as if pure taijutsu would definitely be a good thing to have in your arsenal. I truthfully want to fight the best taijustsu user eventually."
A bit ambitious, but the claim to be the best taijutsu user is, at least to Ezra, a very high achievement. In order to reach that, he would need to train at least every day of his life if he wanted to achieve such a high status. While this was going through his mind, he began following Jun to where they would begin their training. It was certainly loud, the sounds of combat, people getting knocked onto the floor, etc.
"I understand, I should do the same actually."
He would also sit down on the floor, crossing his legs and inhaling deeply. Meditation is a valuable way of calming yourself. It can give a multitude of benefits and puts you into a state of relaxation when done. Closing his eyes, he blocked out the surrounding noises and retreated to his mind. At this point, it felt almost as if Ezra was no longer in the training room. Instead, he imagined himself sitting at the center of a forest, surrounded by tree's and fallen leaves. Any sound that was there previously had vanished, it was as if he was completely alone. A smalls smile was form on his face as he let out an exhale of bliss.
This continued for a little while longer as Ezra sat in what seemed to be a paradise made just for him. Eventually, he would return to the empty training room and open his eyes. He stretched out his arms before standing at full attention. He felt completely comfortable, his balance was extremely stable, and any butterflies in his stomach that where there previously had vanished as if they never existed. Bouncing up and down with his newfound burst of energy, he felt more than ready to partake in physical activities today.
"Some formless training? Okay, maybe something simple. Something along the lines of simple flying kicks."
Ezra would remove his black shirt and toss it to the side and revealing the the art created on his torso. After that, he would start on his second round of stretching. There were multiple moves going through his mind, but the only question is which ones can he use without the chance of slipping up and looking foolish for attempting it?
