"Fine, ma'am, next time we'll just take you both down without hesitation," one of the spat bitterly.

The smaller of the two seemed to wince and shake his head. "C'mon, Banks, lets just get him out of here."

The shorter man (whose tag read LANEY) got behind the wheel and looked very impatient to leave, not taking his eyes off the woman.

Banks adjusted his sunglasses so he could leer at Antony over them. He gave her a crooked smile and went over to pick up Billy's dismembered limb before hopping in the car. "Have a nice day," he snickered as Laney sped off.

"Ohh, fiesty... Too bad you're a ******** moron," she sneered right back, unphased by his threat since she hadn't done anything wrong.

The two names were stored away immediately with their faces, tails lashing behind her as if they had a mind of their own. "Cockless worms," she snarled as they drove off, adding several more strings of curses afterwards because it just seemed right.

Being that Jamal had taken a severe liking to the wilderness as of late, it was not surprising that he had been out and about whilst Billy had mutilated himself and had heard screams. He was drawn away from the lizard carcass that now lay discarded on the jungle floor, killed with a simple twist of the neck, and had headed towards this cove with a cautious air. More staff bullshit, perhaps? He didn't even notice the blood on his finger tips, remains of previous kills he'd made in the day in an effort to ease the tiger's nagging.

As he got closer, he scented an odd combination on the air...it was vaguely blood-like, but also had something odd to it that he and the tiger couldn't place. His nose was still too weak to easily decipher things like that.

He managed to come upon the scene as the Jeep was leaving and Antony was cursing. The rumble of the Jeep told him that staff of some kind had been here and they might have done something to Antony. Immediately his curiousity changed to angry suspicion and he pushed out of the bushes without bothering to scope out the scene a bit better in case something else was going on he wasn't aware of.

"What's goin' on? he asked bluntly, a slight growl escaping his jaw as he spoke, his eyes narrowing as he saw her covered in some odd substance. "They didn't touch ya, did they? So help me god, if they put a hand on you I'll ********' kill 'em all wit' ma bare hands..." They, being the staff.

Antony was so caught up in her anger that she didn't notice Jamal until he spoke, and immediately jumped and turned towards the nearest tree. Once she realized who it was however, she was able to punt the squirrel aside and turn to face the black man.

It was then that she noticed Billy's oozing all over her bare skin, her face contorting in an expression of utter disgust. It was like a giant pimple had exploded onto her.

"As far as I know I'm fine..." She remarked despite how far from fine she actually looked, tails continuing to swish angrily behind her, poofed up from when Jamal had startled her.

When she jumped, he flinced inwardly, having forgot how much she -hated- being startled. He half expected to be snapped at for it, but instead she turned around and seemed more preoccupied with the nasty substance that Jamal had seen. Apparently it wasn't from her own body, which was good, but...ew.

"Good, 'cause I'd hate ta go back to the cage so soon," he muttered as he walked closer. "What's all dis s**t?" A hand waved to indicate the blood/pus mix on her shirt, then downward towards the sand where more of the goo had pooled. "Looks like I missed a helluva party."

Antony mad a disgruntled noise before trying to explain, "He's... Turning into an octopus... Cut off one of his tentacles... Oozed..." She was obviously shaken up by the whole ordeal, and once she was asked to tell what happened, the mental images of the writhing and wiggling limb made her sick.

Suddenly, her eyes widened and she ran over to the nearest bush like plant and promptly threw up whatever was in her stomach. Eventually, she was only dry heaving every so often and shaking. It was still all over her!

"He? Who's he?"

Jamal had no idea who she was talking about, but knew his question wasn't going to be answered right then to judge how sickened she looked. In fact, when she turned to vomit into the brush, he cocked a brow as though he didn't understand why she was so troubled by whatever had happened. Either Jamal had an iron gut or he wasn't bothered, because he wandered over to her and rubbed her back when she had been reduced to dry heaving, looking troubled. Maybe he didn't want to know what happened.

"How 'bout you go wash off b'fo you answer any'mo questions?" he suggested, figuring that it was going to be impossible to get answers if she was so sickened over this nasty goo. The tiger senses were puzzled by the tang of the smell; it wasn't anything it had ever smelt before.

Antony nodded, decently comforted by his back rubs enough to make her way down to the ocean. She didn't wait and immediately immersed herself into the waves, and soon she was obsessively scrubbing the goo off of her with sand.

After a while, the tattooed woman simply let herself sit in the shallow waves, hands going through the motions of scrubbing without getting anything done. He had actually cut off one of his limbs... voluntarily! She shuddered, trying not to think of the entire ordeal too much. Dry heaving wasn't exactly fun.

Jamal settled himself on the warm sand just out of reach of the waves in a cross-legged position, arms draped casually over his thighs as he watched her scrub insistantly to a point where he thought her skin might start to flake off. Had his tail been long enough, it would have skimmed along the ground lazily, so instead the nub twitched now and then.

It might have been odd that he didn't join her in the water, a distant aura surrounding his demenor for the most part as he observed mutely.

She finally came back, looking rather disheveled due to the recent events. When she reached where Jamal was seated in the sand, Antony gave him a sort of sigh before climbing into his lap without even asking. Curling up there brought a sense of comfort and familiarity to her, calming her somewhat.

Her head rested on his chest with her eyes closed. Nevermind the fact that she was sopping wet, she was comfortable and that was all that mattered at the moment. "You haven't been around."

Getting wet with ocean water was the least of his worries. Jamal obliged by moving his arms until Antony was settled, then draped them more or less where they were, only now they were around her moreso then just lying on his legs.

He was silent for a bit after her statement, his mouth curving into a frown again despite his best attempt to seem indifferent and he cast a look off into the distance.
"I know," he finally responded hesitantly, privately hoping she wouldn't inquire further about his absense. "I meant ta stop at yer place as soon as Aubrey let me out but...I dunno. Things happen."

He winced, finding that statement to be rather weak. He was so bad at keeping secrets and masking trouble.

Antony nodded against his chest before peeking up at him, "It's okay... I just hope you're feeling better." She didn't want to push at the moment, being too tired herself to deal with any more drama. Besides, she was enjoying the lovely comfort he was bringing to her at the moment.

She felt like a little kid again, one who just needed a good, cuddling nap. Or something of the sorts. "It's been a long ******** week," she murmured softly as she wrapped her arms around his torso as best she could.

Feeling her shift, he look down at her, mentally appraising her condition. She looked pretty rough and he felt bad. He must have missed quite an ordeal.

"Yeah...I'm betta'," he answered, though it was more of an echo of what she said than him confirming anything. He was better, but he wasn't going to get into what, how, or why he was better if he could help it. Her sentiments about it being a long week could not have been more dead on in Jamal's opinion either. "s**t seems ta come all at once, it seems," muttered the black man, idly tracing a pattern with the pad of a finger on her lower back, feeling troubled about a great many things. He wasn't so much concerned with his problems, as they were things he'd rather keep private anyway, and instead focused on Antony's obvious desire of comfort.

"Ya gonna be a'ight? I dunno what happened aside from...well, nevermind," he added hastily, deciding he didn't want her to get sick again. "We don't need ta talk 'bout that. I jus' don't like seein' ya get dat upset."

"It's the island," she explained, keeping her eyes closed more out of laziness than anything. Her tails flicked off excess water as if they were huffing about the whole situation, but Antony ignored them outright.

Waving him off, she sighed and cracked an eye up at him, "Maybe I just need a nap... Or something..."

One thing was for sure, she wasn't the least bit hungry.

He nodded, realizing he probably wasn't going to get much information out of her right now. Just as well...he didn't need more to brood about anyway.

"Naps are always good," he commented with a smirk, ignoring her tails for the most part even though they kept hitting his leg, lifting a brow slightly as he peered at her. "Gives ya time to relax 'n' not think about s**t fo' awhile."

If that's what she wanted, he wasn't going to stop her. Hell, a nap sounded amazing at the moment.
