[ORP - Game] Motoujamii Man-hunt

He thought about sticking around the Oasis, but instead Huozin went over to the Hongshan Quarter. He poked his head in and out of every den this time. Agni-pariksha wouldn't escape, Regent or no!

Having lingered awhile at the traaining grounds, Tim-timana decided it was time to move on again, but where to? It had been quite some time since she'd checked the barracks, so she opted to try there again. There were plenty of good hiding spots available, so perhaps the Regent had hunkered down in one of them...unless she was just constantly moving, which was also a possibility, and a likely one at that.

Turning up no leads in the Quarter, and not quite invested enough in the game to conduct the most thorough of searches, she moved on again, returning to the oasis for awhile. If nothing else, she could take a semi-peaceful break there and collect herself.

If Alya noticed Menkar lounging around, she seemed to make no move to acknowledge it. Similarly, the soldier didn't seem to pay much attention as to whether Chante had grouped with her or not. Instead, the lioness moved quietly from the sandstorm refuge towards the training grounds. She seemed to be getting a little antsy, and once in a while she would stop in her steps and take a breath, reeling herself in and getting focused. Alya scolded herself for letting something like this get her unsettled, but it was pretty frustrating...

Having lost the trail (again), Baise decided it was a good time to check the Oasis... and the water. As she stretched languidly on the shallow edge of the tranquil waters, she looked aound with a challenging grin. It would've been a very clever plan to hide in the water, right? She was just checking to see if the Regent had chosen the waters as a hiding spot... nothing else, of course not.

She submerged her head briefly before standing and returning to the sand, her white coat gleaming brillantly under the scorching sun.

The lioness was about to leave the Refuge, but something bade her stay and look again. Well, it was cool enough inside, so it wasn't a hardship to do so. The white lioness began to scour the area once more.

Location: Pridal Oasis

The water felt so good going down his throat, and Ruber could tell Nuria was enjoying it as well. The lion grinned and splashed a bit of water on his mate. Just enough so she knew it was deliberate, not so much to be utterly wasteful.

There were times he did miss his childhood - he had not grown up in a desert.

Was that...Agni-pariksha? It had been a blur of dark red, that was all Huozin had seen for the brief glimpse he'd gotten. Encouraged, the Hunter raced off in the direction he'd seen her go.

He quickly lost her among the rocks though, and it was hard to distinguish her prints from the others.

Huozin soon found himself back at the Oasis, with no Regent in sight. Damn!

No, still nothing to be found in the barracks, no matter how closely she looked. Tim-timana poked around for awhile longer before returning to the training grounds - wouldn't it be something if the Regent had decided to pass the time by sparring with someone? Unlikely, and clearly not the case, but it would have been clever. Maybe somewhere else around there, though...

As much as she enjoyed taking a little time away from the game to hang around the oasis, rest her paws and soak up the sun, Psyche didn't feel quite right just giving up and staying there. It was tempting, sure, but what would it say about her if she did that? She already fretted about what others thought of her due to her color, she didn't need to add to what they might say by dropping out of the hunt for the Regent to lounge by the oasis. The golden lioness rose and set off again, making her way back to the barracks.

Alya was quiet as she moved, her steps taking her around the training grounds. There wasn't much to investigate here but she did her best to be thorough. When she had finished scouring to what she believed was the best of her ability, the soldier stood still. Golden eyes scanned the distant areas, taking her time to figure where she was going next. She spotted what she thought was the figure of Menkar, and it occurred to her that she wasn't doing a very good job of keeping track of her teammates. Letting loose a sigh, the lioness continued to press forward.

Menkar moved on after a bit, humming softly to himself once again. He was getting used to this whole not finding the lioness thing, but he did want to try to help out his teammates. He had the feeling the glory of being able to track and catch her was more important to them than it was to him.
