It had been such an eventful year and she only hoped that this new one would be happier for both her kingdom and the other ones as well.
Of course she had been informed of her upcoming wedding to her beloved Roland sometime this year and she could hardly wait. It had been hard watching her love head back to his duties those short three months ago,
but her twins were strong and healthy so she was content in learning her motherly duties. Thankfully Sharla was very patient and helpful with her questions, showing her everything she could in caring for the boys. The dear woman even showed her how to pick up and carry them both whenever needed. Now she hoped to have them get to know the rest of her family as well as seeing them herself.

 Old age is not so bad when you consider the alternatives.
~Maurice Chevalier~ The morning was a beautiful and bright one, but she wouldn't have gone outside unless she could help it. The nurse looked after the boys, who were blissfully ignorant of the new year and what that meant. Perhaps that was for the best. They'd figure it out, learn that they were noble blood, and when they were old enough to learn how to fly, everyone would know the colors of their feathers and scales. They were beautiful boys, so Sharla was sure that the same would be true in their winged forms. She smirked at the thought and circled the room once again, absently cleaning up little things. Fortunately, the princess was a great help, at least by virtue of being aware and being willing to look after her children. Were the opposite true, this would have been just fine, but even so. " What's on your mind, lass?" Sharla asked as she set the dusting rag she used on her shoulder. Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age.
Nothing does - except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age.
But only if the grapes were good in the first place.

"I'm sorry Sharla, you must be terribly bored always cleaning instead of simply looking after the boys as you were hired to do, but I just want them to grow up the same way my brothers and I had. Mother was always there unless her duties required it to be otherwise." She murmured while carefully moving over to the dear woman and giving her a well deserved curtsy. "Thank you for your wonderful efforts,
I could not do this without your help."

𝙺𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔬𝔣 𝚉𝔞𝔩𝔱𝔬 Aldon walked down the hallway holding his beautiful baby girl Flora Elizabeth. His smile as he looked down at her cooing in his arms was nothing short of extraordinary love and pride. She was as beautiful and gentle as her mother. With big intelligent, all-seeing eyes like her father. She let out little giggles and squeals here and there as he walked. "That's my girl, all smiles and laughs. Let's go see your cousins and let mommy rest while she can. I fear your brother might be the death of her. So let us allow her time to rest so she may build strength." Flora looked up at him with eyes that almost seemed older and more understanding than an infant. He smiled softly at her before he stopped at his sister's door, "Athena? It's me, I've got Flora with me, may I come in?" he knocked twice before entering. He nodded in greeting to the older woman in the room, and smiled at his sister as he shifted Flora into a new position in his arms. "I figured it would be nice to introduce them." He said as he looked at her, his eyes holding worry and fear for his wife's condition, but still undercurrents of his pride and love for his daughter. Athena stood up straight and smiled brightly. "You know, you're always welcome Aldon. Besides, a king may enter where ever he wishes unless a maid is posted outside to inform him otherwise." She said as he entered the room, teasing him a little as usual. She of course knew he was worried about Ele despite the pride and joy he held for his daughter. "Of course it would be,
plus this way their uncle will get to hold them while their mother holds their cousin." She murmured while giving him a wink. "So tell me big brother, how does it feel to be a father and an uncle at the same time?" She asked playfully, hoping that her cheerful mood would help lighten his worry a little.
Naturally she hadn't forgot about dear Sharla who was still helping out, but there wasn't much she would be able to ask of the woman either. So she simply looked over to the kind lady and smiled. "Perhaps Sharla could give you a couple tips, she's been very helpful to me. Oh but you can't keep her,
I like her company far too much."

They were royal, and if they were to grow up right in the head, they needed to be arund their family members. When the king arrived, the maid bowed her head, but then made herself busy. At the mention of her, the elderly lady smiled. " I am happy to help any member of the family, your Highness," she assured the princess. " I've grown fond of your family since coming to work here." Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age.
Nothing does - except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age.

The world waits for no man and so this man flew like a bat out of hell straight for the castle of Zalto. Arriving was no easy feat but was nothing the condition soldier couldn't handle. He was just a little winded after flying no stop at full speed. He didn't want to miss the chance of being by his love's side and with this sudden surprise he was sure to see her eyes bright and joyous to see him...he hoped. Upon arriving he was greeted like always by the guards of the castle but what was different was that Roland happened to overhear mumbles about a growing church in Zalto. Roland didn't hear much but it was enough to get him to ponder what it was they could be talking about. Sarah was luckily walking the halls and seen the visiting prince so she was the one to lead him to his princess with a smile. Sneaking in quietly, Sarah gives a small wave hello to everyone before smirking at Athena. "You have a male suitor seeking a moment with you, Princess Athena." With a humble bow she opens the door once again, only this time revealing Roland who was waiting there with a smile and flowers in his hand. "Sorry I didn't send word. I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Of course she soon afterwards grinned at her brother, knowing that her taunts were most likely not appreciated but hoping they would at least take his mind from Ele's condition a little. When there came a knock at the door however, she frowned a moment wondering who it could be, only to smile brightly at her dear friend Sarah. At the mention of a male suitor though,
she looked over at her brother a moment as if trying to understand what was going on. Surely her brother the king wouldn't bring suitors to her knowing full well that her heart had been taken by another, though perhaps he was hoping someone would persuade her otherwise. Upon seeing her beloved Roland on the other hand, she stared dumbstruck a moment thinking her mind was playing tricks on her. Of course when he spoke, she couldn't help smiling even brighter than before and moving closer to him. "You've merely interrupted a visit from my brother and niece, but you are welcome to visit as well. In fact it may be nice for you to spend time with your boys and soon to be niece as well, since you are to be apart of this family eventually."

Prince Roland Leoharz Bellris It was quite the full house with everyone in Athena's room but it showed how tight nit and loving this family was. He recalled a time when he and his two sister were like that but nowadays that all seemed like a feverous dream. "Good morning to you Sharla, and to you too King Aldon." Roland acknowledge the ever helpful nursemaid and his soon to be brother in law with a bow of respect and a small smile of courtesy. "My word, is that truly your daughter?" The chairman of Bellris asks the king of Zalto with a slight astonishment. "She looks almost exactly like you. She's got sharp your eyes, that's for sure." The girl might have been worried about Roland since he was a stranger to her but nevertheless he'd show her keen and wise eyes the same small smile he shared to her father and the same bow of modest respect. "I'm glad I'm come in at a bad time, Athena. I've just been missing you so much that I couldn't hold back from coming to see you again." It was as natural as breathing for this man to slide his arms around the princess's waist. Is was his needs that drew her close to him and lay a tender kiss upon her lips with a lusty heat that he wanted her to feel.

Of course when he came closer to her, she stopped giggling and merely smiled warmly. "I've missed you as well my love, but you've not come at a bad time in truth." She managed to reply as he slipped an arm around her waist, causing her to blush a bit. Naturally his kiss caught her off guard for a moment before she finally returned it in kind. Though she broke it shortly after and blushed even deeper than before. "I would appreciate it sir rogue if you would keep the temptation to a minimum while in the company of others." She whispered playfully while carefully adjusting their son Arthur in her arms a little. "I should probably lay our boy back down in his crib with his brother, unless of course his father wishes to hold him."

Certainly it wasn't a factor in slowing her down. " Time for tea!" She declared with a smile. She saw the occupants of the room as more than what she left behind. But, as any true expert in her field, she took it in stride, widened her smile, and strode past the dignitaries and members of nobility. They would move out of her way, lest they get burned by the hot tea. She set the tray down on the table and moved the cups along the tray. " Athena, dear, how many lumps of sugar do you want today?"
