Orion popped one of the frozen homemade dinners in the oven after he preheated. He had to admit, his sister had put some thought into the groceries she had purchased for his apartment. She had gotten a homemade lasagna that he literally just had to break for 45 minutes. Less with his confections oven. She even bought cheesy garlic bread that he just had to spread out on a tray cookie sheet and bake minutes.

He was thankful because he did not think Grace was up to going out, and he honestly did not want to go out. He wanted to stay here in their bubble and just enjoy his time with his two special ladies. After all, who knew how long any of them really had?
"Your young. You'll get married and have children one day. Don't be such a rush! Enjoy the now! This is the only time in your life you will ever be completely free to live it up. To splurge on you. To live wild and free!" He walked back to the couch and sat down next to Grace.

Cadence grew silent. She was in shock. Devil....dead? Impossible! He had always been a bear of a man, and it was just impossible that someone had taken him out just like that!
"We...just saw him! He was fine! He texted me and said he....No! No! No! Your wrong!" She was angry, hurt, upset and in denial.
"Dereck, this isn't funny! I will be there in an hour!"

She had not realized she was shaking. She grabbed her phone and called Devil. No answer. Straight to his voice mail. She hung up and called again. Same thing.
Hey it's Dev. You know what to do. I will get back to you. BEEP!
She tried three more times before giving up and angrily throwing her phone. She really could not accept she would never hear his voice again. She would never smell his cologne again. She would never hear him laugh at one of her blonde moments. She reread the last text he had sent her, that she had been asleep during.
C.J.,
I am not mad at you, or Dereck. I think I am jealous. Jealous, because it feels like you two will get to be the type of couple I wanted us to be. I know I screwed all that up ages ago. It doesn't mean I did not want it then or even now. I am going away for awhile. To give you and Dereck a chance, and to come to terms with this relationship. I will call Dereck tomorrow and make things right. I want you both to be happy, whether that is with each other or whatever. I know I had no right to get crazy jealous like I did, so I apologize. It is hard, when I look at you everything comes rushing back, and I want so bad to make things right. You did not deserve how I treated you. Tell Dereck to expect my call.

She cried for a bit but then decided she had to get back to Shadow Creek. She continued on her drive back. Doing her best to remain calm and put together. She could not afford to go to pieces now and cause an accident.

It was a little over an hour before Cadence even made it back to town. She sat in her car outside the town hospital. The morgue was located on the two basement levels inside the hospital. She bit her lower lip as she fought with herself.

She wanted to go see that it was not Devil for herself. She was so afraid that it was. Dereck had already confirmed it was him. He would know one of his guys better then anyone else would. Cadie still refused to accept that it was Devil though. She couldn't. Not with how they had left things. Not after the last time they saw each other.

Dereck was not given a chance to say anything before Cadie freaked out and hung up on him. He knew her reaction was going to be something like this. She was probably still in love with Devil when he left, and it kind of left things open between them. That had to be hard to deal with. He went to the nurse that was there, and proceeded on signing a few papers. They released his wallet and personal items to Dereck, and he was going to be in charge taking them to the mother of Devil's child. If anyone deserved these things, it was his son.
On his way out of the hospital, he received a call from Nate saying they were able to kill off a few of the Outcasts, but they were unable to come across Law and Ace. That news only made Dereck more angry, but at least they did some damage. Better then nothing.

Grace scoffed at him, rolling her eyes. "Oh please. I'm getting closer and closer to 30. My biological time clock is ticking, and before you know it I will be stuck in my mid-life crisis." She laughed at herself, continuing to cuddle with Isabelle.
She loved the way newborn babies smelled, they always had a special scent to them that drove her nuts. More so now that the baby fever was a little bit out of control. "I have had enough time to party, and time to myself." She moved to lay down across the couch, letting her feet rest in Orion's lap, and letting Isabelle lay on her stomach, where she ended up falling asleep.
"I think I might have to knock you out and steal your baby.." She whispered, looking over at him with a playful smile.

Orion laughed and lightly massaged Grace's calves. "You can't have Isabelle, but I suspect someday soon you will have a baby of your own to spoil and love on. Till then, feel free to cuddle with my baby. She needs all the love that she can get." He had his feet up on the coffee table again.
"How would a baby even tire into you busy work schedule? I mean you work long shifts and sometimes your on call. Wouldn't that mean you would have to hire a Nanny?"

He believed Grace would make a wonderful Mother from just the little bit he had seen of her interactions with Isabelle, and of course just her kind and gentle nature. He actually wasn't sure what was holding her back. If she wanted a baby, then go have one. She had a car, home, and decent paying job. Nothing stood in her way.

Seriously, all she needed was the male portion of the baby equation. That was easy enough to get with how gorgeous she was. As far as long term boyfriends, she had been with Jackson. Why had she not tried then? He was not about to ask because he felt like he was clearly missing something.

Women were so different then men. If a man was hungry, he ate, if he was thirsty, he drank, if he was horny, he went and got some. Women let things like diets, and feelings get in the way of things. He did not understand that! These were all perfectly normal and human behaviors, what was wrong with fulfilling them? Procreation was normal, and to him it stood to reason that if you wanted to procreate, then you should go do so!

Cadence got out of her car finally and went into the morgue. She was surprised to see Dereck there. He was gathering Devil's things. She stood there watching a moment. It was finally sinking in.
"I want to see him..." She said through numb lips. She felt so cold. She felt as if she were watching herself.
"Dereck....I would like to see him..." She repeated.

Grace rubbed the small infant's back softly, looking over at Orion. A small smile worked across her lips and she let out a soft chuckle. "When my parents passed away, they had their life insurance money get split between Dereck and I. He used his money to buy the shop, his bike, guns..." She shifted a little, grabbing the blanket from the couch and laying it over top of herself and Isabelle. "I have a lot of money put aside that I had been saving up for the moment I decided to start a family. I just would rather not be a single mother. I had never tried with Jackson because even though we were together for a few years, he was never serious." She closed her eyes for a moment, then began speaking again. "He would not have made a good father. When I do have a baby, I want it to be in a complete household. Not a broken one." She grinned once more, lightly stroking the top of Isabelle's head. "Until then, i will just have you use her to get my baby fever under control."

Dereck looked up from his phone to see Cadence standing there. She looked like she was not taking this information very well, hell, she even wanted to see his body. She was in denial. "Follow me." He turned around and led her down a hallway, then down a few flights of stairs until they came upon the morgue. He opened the door, letting her walk inside. "I'll be waiting out here." He moved and leaned against the wall across from the door to the morgue, letting her have her time alone with Devil's body.

Orion shook his head. "A complete home. I don't believe in that. I grew up with a Mother, Father and Brother. Didn't make us story book perfect. My Mother wanted that perfect family so much, in the end that desire is what destroyed the family." He grew silent.
"I believe a family is much more then who you are genetically related too. Or chose to procreate with." He leaned back.
"Dinner should be done soon."

Cadence went in. She took a deep breath before she had them pull the sheet back. The cry got stuck in her throat. It was him. It was definitely him. She could no longer deny that. She stayed with him a few minutes.

When she finally exited the room she was crying. Finally able to breathe again. She wiped her tears away and pulled out her phone.
"Dereck...you should read this." She pulled up the last text she got from Devil. His apology. She handed him the phone.
"He was sorry for his behavior..." She turned away from Dereck as she wiped away a few more tears.

Grace sat there for a few more silent minutes, and when the oven beeped, she slowly rose from the couch, and took Isabelle into her nursery, laying her down in the bassinet before she returned to join Orion. "I understand. I get where you are coming from. I grew up in between homes. Always going back and forth between my mother and father and it really gave me some trust issues." She walked over into the kitchen, helping him get some of the plates and utensils ready. "I'm not saying that I want the perfect family, because there is no such thing as perfect. But I-I don't know. I'm not very good at explaining things" She bit her lip and sighed, placing her hands on her hips as she overlooked the dining room table. "This food smells so good.." Her eyes looked up to him once more, before she sashayed across the kitchen and wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him a soft kiss.

Dereck was standing outside, making phone calls to everyone to get them rounded up to start planning a funeral for Devil. When Cadence finally walked out of the morgue, Dereck looked up at her from above his phone. She was most definitely rocked by the sight. Hell, he was rocked by the sight. Devil was a large man, and it would have taken a lot to take him down. Though, Dereck took solace in the fact that he did not go down without a fight.
After reading the text message he nodded his head at Cadence. "I know he was. He let his temper get the best of him, but I know he was sorry." He offered her a half-smile before making his way back up to the parking lot of the garage, where he got on his bike. He was going to go and break the news to the mother of Devil's kid, and return his personal belongings.

Orion went about easily setting the table. The food was on the counter cooling. He had already put the garlic bread to bake. He was really surprised how easy it was for him to slip into this domestic partner role.

He had never believed he would ever be the type of guy to go the family thing. He had always assumed it would be him and his bike until his body gave out.

This wasn't bad though. A pretty lady by his side. A cute baby, hot homecooked meals. He could get use to this. Not that he was turning in his leathers and bike for a tie and a Prius.

Cadie went her way. Back to her car. She sent a quick to Dereck.
He carries the ultrasound pic in his wallet. Please remove it. She sat in her car crying.

She did not want to keep bothering Dereck. Not after they had decided not to continue seeing each other. After about twenty minutes Cadence finally headed to her Aunt Celeste's Cafe.

She decided work would keep her from thinking. She needed to be out of her head. To rid her memory of the sight of Devil.

Once the food was cool enough, Grace made herself a plate and one for Orion as well, and sat down at the table, taking a bite. The dinner was so good, in fact, that the two of them ate in silence, like they had never had such a good meal before. Once they were both finished, Grace cleaned up the table and washed the dishes, before reaching into the fridge and pulling out a bottle of wine. She held it out, tilting her head back so she could look at Orion past the door of the fridge. "Let's have some wine?" She smiled at him, biting on her lip softly. She always enjoyed a nice, cold glass of wine. It made it even better now that they shared a dinner, and had the rest of the evening ahead of them.
She walked over to the utensil drawer and pulled out the corkscrew, working the bottle until she was able to get it removed, and pour two glasses of wine. She pulled herself to sit on the counter, bringing her glass to her lips. It was a sweet red wine, one of her favorites. She was not a bitter wine person, she preferred her wine sweet, like as if it was right off of the vine.

Dereck had stopped by Devil's ex's place, and made sure to remove the ultrasound picture while he went inside and broke the news to them. He had to tell them about his affiliation with the Reapers, and that they were going to be the ones to take care of his funeral and all of the expenses. He was there for maybe a total of 30 minutes before he needed to go to his thinking spot. There was a lot going on, and he needed time to think. They were not able to get Law and Ace and stop them from hatching their next plan. It was only a matter of time before it happened.

Orion had never really been much of a wine drinker. The people who said they could taste the hints of this or that. He just could not taste it. He figured he just didn't have a fancy palate. He did however appreciate a good cold beer. He even was into the whole Craft beer thing.

He decided her would try the wine. Grace was into it, she didn't come off as a wine snob. He took the glass and looked at her.
"This is for drinking right? We aren't going to do that gross and waste wine spitting thing right? I have to admit....that is not my thing." He sniffed the wine and approved of the smell. He cautiously sipped it. He knew for a fact he hate dry reds.

So no Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon for him. He just hated the headache he got after wine, especially reds. He also despised the cottony feel after drinking Reds. To him it felt like his tongue was dry and covered in fleece. He could never seem to drink enough to get the feeling to go away. It always took at least a day.
"Sorry I don't have any mood music. I have Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot...stuff like that. Any of them appeal to you?" He asked as he set his glass down.

A few days had passed since Devil had been found dead. It was now the day of his funeral. Cadence found herself having a hard time in coming to terms with this. She had accepted he was dead, but she could not yet bring herself to the thought of burying him. He was so young and still had a whole life to live!

The knock at her door brought her to the present and out of her dark thoughts.
"Come in..." She called and the door opened.
"Hey, we are....JESUS! COVER UP!" Killian yelled as he turned his back to her. She frowned.
"I am covered." She snapped back.
"Uh...hardly covered!"
"It covers exactly what a bikini would."
"Well I don't want to see you in a bikini. Look if your going to the funeral we have to get going."
"I don't know if I can go. I don't know if I should go."[
/b] She pulled on her robe.
"Because of what happened between Dereck and you? Who cares. This is about Devil. Your situation with Dereck shouldn't matter."
"I know. I just...I still can't stand the thought of him being gone forever. Of us lowering him into the ground and leaving him there."
"I don't know what to tell you. I ride out in 15. With or without you girly. So make up your mind."
With that Kill was gone.

Cadence stood a bit behind the rest of the funeral guests. She felt so numb. This all felt like some horrible dream that she couldn't wake up from. She saw his ex and their son. After spotting them, and paying her respects Cadence left. She got a ride with Jasper back to the Club.

The two were okay now. Or at least he was not angry with her anymore. He thought their relationship was finally going somewhere. She had done nothing to discourage that thought. She found herself crawling into bed with him nightly. Hoping to feel something, anything really.

Once at the Club House Jasper tried to invite Cadence in but she declined. She just wanted to be away from him for now. He was a kind person, and treated her well but she did not want his company currently. He went in the Club clearly frustrated. Cadie went on her way. Heading toward her Aunt Celeste's home.

Orion had showed up to the funeral, Killian had as well. They were among the few Angels that felt comfortable enough attending the whole funeral. They did not know him well, but it was a matter of respect and support. They respected the Crew and were supporting them in their time of grieving. They were all in this together now.

Law and Ace along with their Crew were celebrating. Another Reaper down! They were especially pleased that it was the one they called Devil. He had a fierce reputation, and had earned that reputation. So yes it was not a Prez or V.P., it was still one of the Reapers' Prez' right hand man.
"Next we claim an Angel for our collection boys!" Law yelled and there was a great deal of cheering.

Grace ended up going home that night, she had to work the next day. A few days had passed, and it was now Friday. They were having the funeral for Devil, and she was not sure who all was going to be there. The Angels helped Dereck and the Reapers when they went after the Outcasts, so maybe they were going to be there as well?
She got dressed in a sleek, form fitted dress. Her blonde hair hung down her back in soft curls, and she wore regular black heels. Once she determined that she was ready to go, she got into her car and drove to the cemetery, where she took a seat next to where his coffin was going to be buried.
She had heard Dereck talking with the guys about another threat from the Outcasts, but before she could hear what the threat was, Dereck noticed she was listening in and closed the door to the meeting. Nathan had been appointed as the VP, and Lucky was now a full member instead of a prospect. The guys were all here with their bikes, and were just waiting for the hearst to arrive to they could carry his coffin.

Orion and Killian walked to the casket and placed their flowers. They stepped back and listened to the words the priest said. They watched as the casket was lowered.

The crowd slowly wandered away. Eventually they all took to their bikes and had a 'final ride' in honor of their departed friend and member. The family he had headed home. His son was too young to fully grasp exactly all of what was going on. It seemed so harsh that the boy would never get to know what a good, loyal and hard working man his father was. He would not really remember him, other then the few pictures his Mother had of him, and perhaps a handful of stories she had.

Orion and Killian made their way back to their bikes. They were heading back to their town. They had no other business in Greensville, and they did not want to be apart of the drunken wake that followed. Besides Orion had to get home to his daughter.

Once the funeral service was over, Grace made sure to place her own flower on Devil's grave, before deciding to head back to her house. She was going to have to work at the hospital tonight, so she needed to go home and get changed. As she got into her car, she pulled out her phone, deciding to send Cadie and Orion a message. The message she sent to Cadie, read :
Hey. Hope U R doing ok. I'm here if you need me. Will B working all nite. <3
Once her message was send to Cadie, she glanced back towards where Devil was buried, and sighed. Being a nurse she knew that life could be taken in the blink of an eye, and this was proof of that. She had just spoken to Devil not long before he had been found dead. The question that remained was, who killed him? Fro working at the hospital she was able to get his autopsy record, and he had multiple blunt force trauma, lacerations, and blood in his lungs. They could not find a definitive cause of death, because all of those things could have caused it.
She shut her car door, sending Orion a message.
I work all nite tonite. If U need anything, txt me :] <3
After it sent she started her car and drove home, where she had just enough time to eat a banana and a granola bar before changing and running out so she wouldn't be late to work.
The hospital was very busy, and maybe a few hours into her shift, Grace caught sight of one of the Outcasts leaving the ER, where it did not look he had even been seen. Being the nosey woman she is, she walked down to the ER floor, and went looking through the sign in sheet of everyone who had visited. But there was no-one with a familiar looking name, so she called Dereck.
Once he answered the phone, Grace snuck off to a corner of the ER. "Hey, we just had someone come into the hospital here in Shadow Creek with an Outcast cut.."
Before Dereck could say anything, there was a out explosion over the phone, and he knew exactly what had happened.
"GRACE! Grace are you there?!"
Grace had been knocked off her feet from the blast, and got multiple cuts on her arms, neck, and jaw. She shifted through some of the rubble, grabbing her phone. People were screaming, and there were even people dead.
"Hey, yeah. I'm here. It was a bomb, Dereck. There are people screaming, I gotta go.."
She got up off the ground, shoving her phone into her pocket as panic ensued. She was 100% sure that the Outcast she saw leaving the hospital was the one that planted the bomb. She moved quickly, catching sight of a little boy laying on the ground. His chest was spilling blood everywhere, and he was screaming in pain. While other nurses worked around her escorting people out of the hospital, Grace got on her knees, placing her hands over the would in the little boys' chest.

Dereck immediately hung up his phone and got on his bike, whistling for the boys to join him. He had been told that the Outcasts were planning on attacking the hospitals, but he did not think it would be on the day of Devil's funeral. He was happy to know Grace was okay, though. But he needed to get to the Greenville hospital to make sure nothing was going down. So, he called Orion, to let him know the hospital in Shadow Creek had been bombed. Once Orion picked up the phone, Dereck spoke fast. "Hey, Grace had called me because she saw an Outcast leave the hospital in Shadow Creek. There was a bomb, and it exploded in your hospital. I'm riding to Greenville now, gotta make sure they are okay."
He did not leave Orion a chance to talk before he hung up and raced to the hospital, driving well over the speed limit. Almost as soon as he arrived, there was an explosion, and the ER inside of the Greenville memorial hospital was blown up.

: Maralyn Ó'Conchobhair
Location: Vet Clinic- Avenging Angels Company: Cadie Wearing: Outfit

Lyn finished locking up the doors the Shadow Creek Veterinary clinic about a half hour after all the techs had left. She had been the last vet in the office, and not needing the techs since there were no animals staying over night at the moment, she let them go after the last client left with the receptionist. The new vet had stayed late as she had the past couple nights just to make sure everything was in order after finishing her last few notes. Tonight she was actually leaving earlier than she had the last couple. Maralyn was finally getting the hang of the program the clinic used for patient charts, as well as how the clinic was organized so that everything was where is needed to be in the morning.

She crossed the parking lot that was growing dark quickly, glancing around it to ensure she was the only one there. Arriving at the black motorcycle, Lyn straddled the machine before turning it on. Upon turning it on, a groan escaped her lips. The oil and engine lights were still coming on as they had for the past day and a half. Plus there was an unmistakable growl within the purr of the engine.

With this now as her only form of transportation between home and work, after having sold her car for the supposedly cheaper option, she needed to also get that option fixed pronto. So the red-head placed the bike helmet onto her head, kicked the stand up, and pulled out of the parking lot. She traveled down familiar streets from her childhood, noticing some places still in business and others that had closed. In about 5 minutes, the female on the crotch-rocket was pulling into the lot of the auto garage in Shadow Creek owned by the Avenging Angels.

Parking the bike, she turned off the engine. Lifting the helmet off her head, Lyn turned to the one other person in the lot with her. A brunette that looked familiar. Walking over she held out a hand,
"Hi. I'm Maralyn. Just moved into town and I understand it may be a bad time, but my bike needs some maintenance, do you know if anyone is here?"Maralyn had heard some of the techs talking about a funeral earlier that day, and by the bunette's red rimmed eyes, she was sure the other woman had been there. Possibly along with many of the members that ran this garage. If her memory served, the Avenging Angels were a usually a large part of town events

Cadence checked her phone upon hearing her text alert. She had sort of been in a daze ever since hearing the news about Devil. She read the text several times before the brief message actually sunk in. She typed out a brief message, and hit send.
'Thanks. You shouldn't worry about me though, worry about Dereck. Things have not been easy on him lately. I am actually concerned about him, not that I can check on him without seeming like a b*tch.'

She looked up at the red head when she introduced herself. Cadie blinked several times in confusion, she had not expect anyone else to come around. She also did not work there so she was just a little caught off guard. Cadence wanted to help in anyway she could, it was in her nature after all. She took in the pretty red head's appearance. She looked familiar but not enough that the name was immediately available in her memory bank. Even with the woman giving her name, she felt like she knew a Maralyn but she had moved away ages ago!
"Hi, I am Cadence. If you would please follow me, we have a few mechanics still in today." She lead the woman in.
"Would you like anything to drink? Water? Coffee? A soda?" She asked once they were inside the small office. Cadence slipped behind the counter.
"You said your name was Maralyn? Maralyn what?" She pulled out a writing pad and pen.
"Our garage hours of operation are 8am till 8pm. Now the tow truck portion of the business is twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We also do have a very small independent car rental place that we do business with. Unfortunately they close at 7pm, and do not open till 9am. I can give them a call and leave them a message if your interested in renting a vehicle with them. The agency that rents the cars only have a few in stock. I think they have,....between 6 and 12 cars now. None of them are fancy luxury vehicles but all are clean, nice, comfortable, run very well and affordable."

Orion had been at his home. Kicking back and enjoying a movie by himself. He read the text Grace sent him upon returning from the bathroom.
I need Twinkies and your company. Play hookie! Don't forget the Twinkies! =) He sent the messaged with a little smile and went back to him movie and pint of ice cream. He had really been getting into his movie, that was until he got the panicked call from Dereck. He quickly threw on pants and a shirt, the first pair of shoes he saw and was gone.

He was out the door, on his bike and flying through the streets. He noticed there were several cars on the rode as well, all flying in the same direction. Heading toward the hospital, word must have gotten out around town.

Once Orion arrived at the hospital he was frustrated to find police, firefighters and paramedics were on the scene and did not let anyone closer then 20 feet of the building.
"Hey! My fiancee is in there!" Orion yelled to the nearest police officer. He figured you start throwing the word finacee about and people listened a bit more.
"She is a nurse, her name is Grace! She was working tonight! I got a text from her a little earlier! Where any nurses hurt?" The police officers ignored most of the people. They focused on keeping everyone away.

: Maralyn Ó'Conchobhair
Location: Avenging Angels Garage Company: Cadie Wearing: Outfit

Maralyn smiled at the pretty brunette as she began introducing herself before turning and walking into the shop. Lyn turned and followed her, thinking her name sounded familiar from her childhood. She had lived next to a young brunette named Cadie she remembered. She shook her red head lightly at the woman's question of needing a beverage. "No, no thank-you. I'm fine, besides for the bike."

Maralyn walked up to the counter as the other woman slipped behind it and asked for her name, " Ó'Conchobhair. Maralyn Ó'Conchobhair."

She waited as paitently as she could as the woman named Cadence wrote down her information. The other girl began talking about the car service the garage was acquainted with. And all the hours. "Would it be easier if I dropped it off tomorrow afternoon? I mean it still runs. I know it's late now. I was just hoping the lights would go away really."
