if I get too many chunin I'll just have some of them become jonin later.

It will of course be based off an alternative method.

Those who cannot grasp the stone may yet move mountains if they have the strength of will to do so.

You are a jonin on a rescue team

Something horrible has happened and you only have time to save so many people. 2 at best

there are 100s of civilians, a foreign captive who was caught killing someone, your own mother, your comrades, and the tsuchikage

Who do you save and why?

Yada yada. What a tough question.

Well In character Lucy's mother would shame him to the end of time if he choose her over the kage, so that's a no go. Also the people are important to the nation but one out of 100 people isn't doing very much. Being from a prominent Iwa family it's important to show strength in a time of crisis. Or so Lucifer thinks so. He's kinda Posh that way. Comrades kinda already have one foot in the grave for just being shinobi. They'll make it out some how. So I guess Lucy would go for the Kage seeing that if you cut the head of the snake the body dies. Also he'd save the Captive. Why the captive you ask? Well simply because he needs to be punished by the will of Iwa. Not by out side sources, a quick death is far to good. The villains who caused this Crisis in the first place will feel the punishment of Iwa soon. Same as the captive. emotion_kirakira

anyone you don't save absolutely wont survive. Does that change anything?

Uh no not really. . .Mother will understand.

u_u lol gross no way, >.> you're part of the rescue team as a jonin. The correct answer for an Iwa Jonin is to save everyone or as many as you can. You're so caught up in politics that you wouldn't save your own mother or your poor unmarried at 28 tsuchikage in favor of saving a criminal which could be justified perhaps but why is a jonin on the rescue team more focused on who how someone gets punished?

How would you like to be a chunin?

Gross... Well that's rude.

I kinda explained why Lucy wouldn't save his mother. As a shinobi that had a hand in his upbringing, she would cut Lucy down if he saved her over the kage. The kage isn't a person. . .It's a symbol for Iwa. It don't matter if the Tsuchikage is a 28 and unmarried loser. They're still the figure head for all of the nation. If he's killed than the nation looks weak. That's a simple fact of life.

Also you didn't tell me if I could save as many people as I can... you gave me two. A rescue team is still a rescue team no matter who they rescue. It's not about how the captive gets punished. It's about the power that Iwa as a nation has to punish people who have wronged them. With out proper justice we are no different from beasts

My rpc will be very Iwa forward thinking. Objectively thinking of the reputation of Iwa and his family. So if you think that's the same as punching a lady in the throat that's fine. . .But being a generic lets same all the people way of thinking is Naive.

scream punching people in the throat isn't standard and being 28 and single is cool! 30 is 2 long years away!

Objectivity goes out the window when you start debating what's best for Iwa as part of a rescue team.. depending of course on what your objective is. What do you suppose the objective of an Iwagakure rescue team member should be during a rescue mission? Should I have to tell a rescue team member to save as many as they can?

Yada yada. There we have it. Depending on what the objective is. I whole heartily agree. Which wasn't given besides being a "Rescue team" And with the ability of saving 2 out of the 4 groups you put in front of me.. Again saving as many as you can or everyone wasn't an option. Being prompted with a scenario with set options with a invisible correct option that completely breaks the point of the whole scenario is kinda sketchy at best. But I digress. If you think Chunin is where you want me to be that's fine. I just came here to rp with a friend. So it's no big deal for me.

Not to point out its dumb to base ranks off of a question that's answer is fulled mostly off of ooc. Seeing that at this point not one rp post has happened with the rpc, and that the rpc could easily change 180 degrees from the personalty from when one had answered the question in the first place.

Many things look dumb of you are cynical enough.
Many things look brilliant if you want them to
You have looked as deeply as you are willing to look and saw what you were willing to see.

I'd give more detail but there could be moar candidates on the way

sure.

Be prepared to work hard (in character)

Iwa is militaristic in nature, military training is mandatory for shinobi youth. The ninja academy is like a specialized military academy but the culture, while it does embrace such virtues one might learn in the military, also encourages some other things. What it means is that if for example your character was a pervert that if he does something everyone will be critical of him but may be quietly cheering on those sweet little moments in life. A hard society that quietly appreciates the simpler and fun things in life as well. The rules are strict but the enforcement is more humanized.

This conflict is especially important for genin. Again like the military, low level scrubs get pushed around hard and gain freedom as they gain notoriety and recognition from their immediate superiors.

sure

remember that Iwa is a sortof militaristic place that is harder on younger people than it is on older more accomplished ones.

Mandatory military service country with some unofficial room for self expression. The entire populous has basic training at least. Mostly something to help with character creation. For example this is also related to why Iwa is the tsundere capital of the shinobi world.

Quick tsundere archetype example

finding a 1 minute one for males was a bit hard so I skipped it, you get the point I hope lol. Just try and make sure the society is reflected in the personality and past somewhat. It'll make the background easier as well.

Well, actually... I was making it to where my character traveled pretty far and unintentionally got sucked into a village, so his personality is different from the tsundere type.
