Sephos was having a decent night, actually. Chaos was a problem, but he was away from it, looking for clues in the quieter parts of the facility. Of course, it wasn't exactly the ideal place to look for clues, but wouldn't that be the best place for bad things to happen? The quiet areas?
Truth was, Sephos was reluctant to go near the quiet areas... though he reconsidered it when ran into the white coated troll again. They were typing at a terminal - he knew them from their twirly horns. No longer rabid with frustration, they looked like any other white coated troll - serious, intelligent, and in control.
Sephos, however, remembered their previous encounter and began to slip away when, suddenly, they rose and grabbed at him. "KID!" They shouted. Sephos managed to avoid being grabbed.
"H-Hey!" Sephos said, putting up his fists, "Stop it!"
The scientist appeared to listen, instead crossing his arms across his chest. "I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU!!! YOU MADE MY PROBLEM CLEAR!"
Sephos winced at the volume of the troll's voice. "Yeah. Okay." he said, backing away.
"I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU INSPIRED ME! I ALREADY SENT DRONES TO PUT MY NEW PLAN INTO ACTION! IT'S GOING TO BE A GRAND SUCCESS! MAKE A LOT OF PROGRESS! I JUST KNOW IT!"
"Okay." Sephos said, backing away a few more steps and fleeing before any more loud praise got sent his way. As he ran, a THANK YOUUUUUU followed him, echoing against the clanging pipes....
(Sephos is moving 50 labor to Facility 3)

Leeroi is attacking the rogue scientist! HP: 16/20 Damage: 2
Out of his peripheral, Leeroi noticed some kind of tussle happening by the labs. Something involving a scientist, an orangeblood and... that tealblood girl! What was her name again? He felt a strong pain in his gut, realizing he had no idea. Well, there was no helping it now. He might as well jump in and help the two out with their little spat.
"Hey, hey!" Leeroi yelled (calmly), hands raised defensively as he approached the fighting trio. "What's going on here, huh?" He asked the two girls, taking his eyes off the rabid scientist. It was not the first of his bad ideas. By the time he turned back to the science troll, a databank was falling down to crush him where he stood.
Just barely, he managed to hold up the bank so it didn't flatten him completely. Tossing it aside, he asked the girls another question, but kept his attention on the scientist. "How are we going to control this guy?" Leeroi asked, trying to find some non-lethal ideas.

Hemera is attacking the rogue scientist!
HP: 10/14 DMG: 4
A momentary relief as Etsali tried to help, then just as much painful and dire closeness before. Mera screamed and flailed some more. Get it off get it off get it off
She fought to keep those teeth and the saliva away from her, and with a final smack, the pressure detached from her body. Mera immediately rolled over and away, to get space. She started looking for the scientist, but a voice distracted her attention.
Mera glanced over at the new addition. "Furore!" For once, she was glad to see him. Anyone, really. "We're-" she started, but that nearby bank started to fall. It was not placed precariously enough to do that on its own. "Look out!" she screeched, as it dove towards Leeroi. However, it seemed that the robo arm was good for something. Again, the blueblood avoided horrendous injury and got ride of the object.
She took a moment to breathe. Leeroi was concentrating on the scientist's location enough for her to pull herself together. Hemera got to her feet. Brushed off her knees. Inhale. "We need to subdue this troll with as few casualties as possible. If you can get them out of this room, that would be a start. If you need to, knock them out." She looked around, frowning. "I would like to avoid damaging the equipment, but I'm not sure that will be an option..."
Then she turned to Etsali for a hot second. "But are you okay?"
Kimbley Kitty She's actually happy to see your stupid face! Congrats

Leeroi is attacking the rogue scientist! HP: 12/20 Damage: 6 + 2 = 8
"Alright," Leeroi acknowledged Hemera's instructions with a slight nod, and tried to form a scheme of what to do with this scientist. He was very capable of suppressing the troll, but would that be effective at all in calming them down? Either way, Leeroi started to pace closer to the researcher, arms open, trying to console the troll.
"Hey, it's going to be all right," Leeroi cooed, shuffling closer. Then, in a quick flash, the scientist struck out at him, stapling at his legs. "You <********>," He screamed, lunging at the scientist and tackling him. With the weight of his injured legs trying to suppress the scientist, Leeroi clumsily tried to steal the weapon from the other troll, clawing at it with his one free hand.

Hivestuck Name: Engrav Setlar Activity: Social -> Covert Ops activities Resources gained: +4 research
Going through files is incredibly important, and you glean information about persons of importance and their tactics to use for later. +4 research
Engrav was going through the SRDPSL roster one more time, just to make sure there wasn't any more information that could be gleaned. He'd falgged a couple names before, and some pictures that looked familiar for following up on later, but there was something deeper here. Something just below the surface, waiting to be discovered. He could feel it.
"Wait, what's this one? Agent...Spongy Bungee? That sounds suspiciously like a fake name." Engrav carefully scanned the file, taking in the large mole at the base of the chin. The the tie and fedora immaculately placed.
He'd never seen this troll before in his life.
This bore immediate investigation.
Engrav could hear some kind of commotion going on down the hallway, but he was focused now. Ignoring it entirely, he scurried in the opposite direction, hoping he could catch some kind of hint as to where this Spongy Bungee might be hiding.

Quote: If you rolled a 1, you see the scientist scuttling around in the shadows, scribbling on the floor. The scene they're illustrating seems to involve a lot of flames, and exploding bits of metal. As you creep up on them, they spin around and point a crayon at you. As you stare them down, they leap forwards, ramming the harmless writing implement hard into your eye, causing you to see stars and pain. Take 5 dmg. Kolako dealt 2 damage to the Scientist.
All at once, three terrible things started happening. But the one everyone was focusing on was, well, a lone man seeming terribly lost and having a spazz attack. The redblood knew she could help, but helping meant she needed to, first, find him. The man was no where to be found-- Or wait, was that... The redblood slowly approached them, watching them run in place and-- Suddenly they swiveled on him, and the redblood simply stared at the crayon. That couldn't be too danger-- OOOAAAHHHSSSSS!! Kolako felt her eye on fire, releasing a loud scream. Did he just STAB her?!?!

The moment Papion heard a scream, the lion bounded in, ready to save her. He saw an adult scientist, poised at the ready for another chance to stab at his baby, but-- What was his problem?!?! Papion quickly got in the way, taking the feeble hit for his charge, leaving an embarrassed Koko unsure if she should attack or freak out on anyone. The redblood rubbed her eye, feeling a few tears fall from it as it began to sting and ache. The redblood groaned. This was super sucky, now Papion wouldn't allow her to help them. Or... Would he?

Papi seemed fine with her helping at the moment. He just seemed adamant about being there, something she was totally fine with. Especially with her leaky, messed up eye! The redblood groaned, blinking some before her eye was alright again. She turned to see the man was continuing to stab Papion with a crayon, and in this moment, Kolako decided enough was enough. The redblood ran at him, tackling him hard before giving him a kick in the shin in slight anger. She wouldn't let him hurt her Papion! He was just trying to help and be nice, for once!

Quote: If you rolled a 4, You find the scientist's beloved stapler lying discarded on the ground. Reaching down to pick it up, the scientist leaps on your back and beats at your head, screaming, until you manage to shake them off. Take 3 dmg, do +2 damage with your attack. Kolako dealt 4 damage to the Scientist.
It was then that all was silent and still. The scientist had suddenly vanished, leaving a confused and alert brownblood, unable to let herself fall prey to the scientist. Papion walked next to her, equally prepared for any funny looking boxes or crates. It was then that Koko saw it-- The stapler, but Kolako didn't know what it was. She approached it wearily, lifting it, examining it, before beginning to look through it and really check it in depth. This seemed like a cool weapon! Did he leave it there? A loud scream alerted her to his presence, watching him attack Papion relentlessly. Papion looked at Koko with a roll of his eyes. This was nothing.

Quote: A research assistant tells you to “hold this and I’ll be right back”. You’re stuck with a heavy metal beam for a very long time.
Finally Nictor got time to go back to go back to his room and get his worksuit cleaned. The soaked clothes had dried through the day, but were still dirty and gross smelling by the end.
Rested and cleanly clothed, Nictor exited his temporary living space to see what he'd be needed for today. He glanced nervously at the research rooms filled with scientists bickering and waving around papers and sped yup to avoid being sighted. The research portion of this project was important to be sure, but Nictor didn't know the first thing about engineering or physics. Some astrology, sure, but otherwise, he didn't know much of what was going on around here.
Well, heading back to the loading bays seemed like a decent idea. Most of his bruises from yesterday's bout down the stairs had cleared up thanks to Sephos too.
Between the applied science testing rooms and the loading bay doors, Nictor was accosted by a slightly frazzled assistant.
"Hey, you!"
Nictor jumped a bit at the loud call from his left and glanced over. Of course the researcher was looking at him. He clenched his fists and shuffled forward. He really hoped this wasn't gonna be him getting in trouble.
"Hold this beam. I have better things to do that be stuck here with the drones," the assistant spit, with no small amount of bitterness, and immediately began letting go of the steel beam. Nictor yelped as the parts one side of the beam was connected to began to shift and groan. He quickly pulled up a toolbox to stand on and manged to get a hold of the thing before the scientist flounced off.

Quote: An orbital mechanical unit with a flawed AI is spinning uncontrollably! You manage to hold it still until it runs out of juice, impressing everyone and keeping the workforce moving.
Nictor really wasn't sure how long it took for a drone to come by with the materials to build up what the metal beam Nictor was holding was supposed to connect to, but they sure took their sweet time.
Hours later, Nictor was finally able to release the steel beam and move on. He was here to help so he couldn't really complain about what task he was given, no matter how menial.
Of course, while he was rubbing his arms to ward away the stiffness from the task, he heard a loud whirring and whine of engine while drones yelled and screamed. Looking up, drones were diving out of the way everywhere of a wildly spinning bot. Said bot was also heading straight for him.
Nictor was going to dive out of the way except some drone thought that used the little yellowblood as a meat shield would be a fantastic idea. So while Nictor flailed and tried to squirm free, the orbital unit slammed into both of them. Nictor coughed as the air was knocked from him and the drone screeched and released him to roll away from the wildly malfunctioning bot.
Nictor held tight onto the bot, getting spun and thrown around with it until it passed by a steel beam and Nictor wrapped his legs around the beam. His head was spinning and his arms ached, but he might as well hold the thing until someone could put it down. It jerked and pulled and tried to shake Nictor off, but he managed to hold firm, despite a few slips.
It about ten minuted but the thing began sputtering out smoke and heating up as the unit's wires began to fry. It quickly lost power after that and Nictor dropped the thing. He kinda missed holding up the steel beam now.

Quote: Heaving metal beams around the base for quick transport saves the facility a good amount of time!
Nictor recovered pretty quickly from the stress of the malfunctioning orbital unit and a few drones had offered thanks for stopping it. Nictor had just nodded nervously, ducked his head, and kept walking.
Luckily, it seemed that today would be more calm than yesterday. No heat vents, no broken water fountains, no stairs. Just moving around supplies. Nictor could deal with this, even if the heavy steel beams made his back ache and arms shake if he had to carry them too long. And yeah, maybe he tripped a few times and wound up getting a gash on his leg when a corner of a beam struck it, but otherwise, it was mindless and menial work.
