Soldier of Song Fury decided to finally give it a try herself. She stepped off the cheetah stone and onto the lighter ones she'd not yet walked on, not looking back to see if the glow went out again. She figured Breeze would let her know, and started towards the other cheetah much farther away, finding it a pretty roundabout path compared to the dark brown. She hoped Breeze won't mind her attempt after his own.
Just as before, once Fury's hooves touch the lighter stones, the cheetah stone she's just left begins to dim.

Scrape gave a soft humm, trotting around the area to take in what colors of stones there were and to get a good look at the stones as the others talked. She flicked her tail, considering.
"Kio... enjoy racing don't they? Perhaps this needs to be ran,in a continuous movement, like a race..." She questioned, more to her self then to the others. She walked to the one of the cheetahs by the light grey and dark grey stones paths. "Maybe starting here?"

"Wait," the stag called out after the acha, "The stone's dimmed again! I don't think..."
Then he stopped, and examined the cheetah on the stone, then looked down the dark brown path. Voicing his next thought aloud, he asked, "Do all of the cheetahs face the same direction?"

Shaddaling edited She walked to the one of the cheetahs by the light grey and dark grey stones paths. There are no dark grey stones at all - the darkest is the obelisk. [To everyone: If you're having trouble describing your kin's location in character, a diagram (circle the location in MS Paint on the map) or an OOC note ("they're standing by the bottom cheetah stone on the right side, based on the bird's eye view", for instance) is fine!]

[thanks pope - Scrape - Top Cheetah, with folded legs]
"They face different directions," Scrape said softly. "I don't remember which but not all the same, if that helps? " She looked over at the others wondering if she should speak louder? She wasn't sure if anyone could here her.
[And what colors are they? On my screen it looks to be two grey stone paths, a brown, a golden, and a peach.]

Fury stopped immediately, gritting her teeth in annoyance. Once again she thought she'd been onto something, and once again they were reduced to guessing and speculation. Without prompting from Breeze, she decided to backtrack, returning quickly to the cheetah stone as though the glow might be snuffed out completely without her, refusing to let go if this little piece of progress.
The stag's question gave her a pause, however. Indeed, she had fixated on the posing of the cheetahs, but the doe who'd spoken up seemed to have an idea of her own, as well. Fury's frown deepened, but she agreed , "Not all the same, no."

Soldier of Songx Without prompting from Breeze, she decided to backtrack, returning quickly to the cheetah stone as though the glow might be snuffed out completely without her, refusing to let go if this little piece of progress. When she leaves the light brown path and returns to the cheetah stone, the stone returns to the half-dimmed state of before. [OOC: The top two are light brown and brown, there's golden and peachy, and another, redder, brown. Sorry they're not super clear/brightly colored!]

OOC Here is a labeled version of path colors and what position each stone is in. (Please, let me know if there are corrections needed!)

The old stag's ears flicked as he thought. "Perhaps we should follow the cheetahs, as it were? Head down the path to the eastern stone... and follow their lead from there?"

Scrape nodded. "It sounds like a good idea." She said softly and paused. "I'm Scrape." She added. "Did you wish to go first?"

"Wildflower Breeze," the stag responded with a polite half-nod-half-bow. "And -" he looked around at the kin gathered there "- I was thinking it might be best to go together? That way, we can leave one kin behind each time to watch the cheetah stones we pass, and report on any changes."

Minstrel hadn't been discouraged by the lack of response when he'd walked along the path. He'd half expected it not to do anything, it makes sense that it's not solved so easily.
"I'd be up for trying." He says, returning to where Breeze is.

"A good plan," she complimented the stag.
As for positions...
"Perhaps a flyover to confirm which way each stone is facing? I'd volunteer of course."

sheepcakesx "I'd be up for trying." He says, returning to where Breeze is. When he left the yellow path, the northernmost began to glow at full brightness again.

"That sounds like a good idea," Scrape said softly to Lull. "If we know what way they face, we'll know which way to go next," like a track. She looked over at Minstrel. "Hello," she said softly and looked at the glowing stone.
"I'm up for trying," she added.
