I'm off to get my car inspected. Although, I'm really hurting today like I'm cramping or something. Last night, I was burning up when it was fine in the house.

I noticed I missed a BCP yesterday, but is that an explanation for feeling so crappy today? I don't do it very often at all, but I feel like I'm on a severe period even though that's no where nearby?

Anyone have any light to shed?

Perhaps if you explained what BCP stands for. xd

Yeh, I think that's what luna meant. Sometimes if you miss a pill, your body may think it needs to start your period right then. i used to have a problem similar to that when I was on the pill, so I just switched to the patch, and it is sooooo much more easier.

Probably is. Thanks, Ally.

Luna: It might be, but of course I have no experience with BCPs, and won't need them for a while (or at least that's my plan. ^_~), so I don't know much about their affect on people. Also, my guess is that it would vary with women. As for the bit about you feeling menstrual, it's probably because you missed one. Since it's supposed to trick your body into thinking you're pregnant, missing a pill would bring back the crampy feeling.

Luna, I've had that problem as well when I've missed my BCP on occasion. You might spot a little as well, but I've never had it last more than a half a day or so. heart

Yeah I was spotting verrrry lightly earlier, but now that my BCP (yeah the pills) have kicked in, I don't feel so awful now. I just couldn't figure it out last night. Lesson learned for me. It just hasn't happened to me like it before. Unfortunately, the pill is what's best for me. Maybe I'll look into the patch.

3nodding That may be a good idea to try. I'm also interested in the new pills that allow you to have a quarterly period rather than a monthly one.

I am wary of those. I used to be on Depo Prevera (before I got on the patch), and it made my period stop completely for about 8 or 9 months straight. That is a normal side effect of DP for about 85% of women. Well, I totally enjoyed not having periods, but I was also gaining weight. So I stopped the shot and switched to the patch. Weeeeeellll... my first period I had, once on the patch, was HORRIBLE! It lasted for 3 weeks and was SUPER heavy. I called the doctor about it and she says it's because I went to long without a period while on the shot that everything 'built up' inside and all came out at once.

So my reasoning leads me to believe that these new pills that only let you have 4 periods a year, that those periods would last longer than normal periods AND they'd be heavy. So even though it's annoying having monthly periods, I'd rather have normal periods than ultra-periods! xd

That is the problem my oldest daughter has, even when she takes the pill, but if she doesn't then she has a period every 10 to 14 days, and it lasts 7 days
