(He knows how to read people >w< Sorry.) Cody hugged her back, allowing her to go back into her room but he left not long after that since he had work at the hospital to do. When he came home, he sighed as he walked in, he was much later but he was rushing to change and was about to head out again to get Emily but seeing taht she was already home, he sighed, "Sorry, the hospital was short handed and I had stayed after... I hope it wasn't a bad walk home." He said softly, seeing that she had some mud on her still.

Emily smiled at him but looked down at herself, "Oh hey. Some jerk did this, but I'll be fine, just need a good shower and a wash." "Its alright, being a nurse can be stressful as well as busy as heck." Emily was going to hug him but held off instead, "I don't want to get you more dirty, I'll just hop in the shower real quick." she waved bye and headed to the bathroom where she stripped out of her clothes, turned on the shower and hopped in. She had left the door unlocked.

Cody looked at her when she explained that but he nodded, "Well I am just happy to help people." He said kindly as he allowed her to go to the bathroom to shower off. What he hadn't done since he had been busy was clean some laundry so their weren't in fresh or any towels in the bathroom when she got into the shower.

It had felt like an eternity since Emily had a shower. It was great and so relaxing to have the hot water hit her neck and shoulders and ran down her back. She shuttered a few times before she had gotten used to it. Emily must have washed herself off at least 5 times, same with her hair. She knew it was clean but didn't feel like it thanks to that jerk. Whatever. Upon turning off the water and opening the curtain, she discovered that there were no towels in the bathroom. Oh crap, Emily had forgot to do a load of towels. Great. And since her last outfit was covered in mud, she couldn't put that back on. She wringed out her hair as best she could before slowly opening the bathroom door. She peeked out to see if he was there. Once the coast was clear she headed out to her room She got there quickly and got dressed and worked on blow drying her hair.

Cody went to his study to take care of a few things that he had brought home from the hospital. It was mostly just paperwork and studies he had to look over but when he needed to get something from his room, he walked down the hall only to slip in a small patch of water from her having walked to her room not fully dry. She would hear a thud from the hall of him falling on his a**, followed by a groan, "Ow..." He stated getting his bearings back from that as the papers finally hit the floor after drifting down.

Emily had just finished getting dressed when she heard a loud thud and groaning. Opening her door, she say that Cody was sitting, had he fallen? Smiling she went up to him, started gathering the papers, "Are you alright?"

Cody looked at her when she walked out, he sat up rubbing his lower back a bit, "Yeah... just slipped in some water... nothing major, just a bruised pride." He stated gently as he got up, and gently accepted the papers she picked up, "Thank you." He said kindly to her.

After gathering up the last of the papers, Emily helped Cody to his feet, "That was my fault, sorry. I'll clean it up so you don't slip anymore." she laughed as she went and got a mop. Emily started in the bathroom, then down the hall and mopped up all of the water that was on the floor. When the chore was done, she placed the mop in the bathtub, then she wringed it out as best she could before leaving it in there to dry.

He looked at her when she spoke, but he watched as she mopped the floor, "No need to be sorry... Im alright." He reassured as he thought it over, "I should have been paying attention but I had needed to get this paperwork done." He explained as he got to his study.

"Have fun." she told him before heading into the kitchen. Emily busily started to prepare dinner. Chicken, rice and carrots.

Cody nodded as he walked to the study but after a little bit of time he walked to the kitchen, smelling the food that she was cooking up. When he saw her cooking and finishing dinner, he smiled, "Hmm... smells delicious in here." He said kindly thinking that it did smell good.

Emily looked over her shoulder at him as she was finishing up with the kitchen, "Glad you think so, this is your dinner." she said as she went back to looking at the stove and turned off the heat. She placed the chicken on two plates that already had the serving of rice and carrots on it. Emily picked up the plates and took them over to the table, sat them down, "Dig in." she sat down to start eating

Cody nodded as he watched her make two plates, happy that she had made some for herself. He sat down at the table and began to eat when she sat down with him. He smiled to her, "This is really delicious Emily." He stated, "So how is school going for you?" He asked curiously, wondering how she was doing.

Emily started eating and paused to answer his question, "School is fine, I'm still not sure what I want to be but all I know is that I want to involve nature somehow. Maybe become a biologist, or a conservationist. I could work on this land you have." she smiled weakly and kept eating, "How is your work?"

Cody looked at her when she spoke, "I think that a biologist would fit you a bit better because being able to study it, you would also be able to draw and illustrate what you find, you could easily make a book out of it all by yourself and I could help with anything medical or about science." He offered the idea to her kindly.
