They had to draw their role model, and talk about them a little...? Kaname blinked, thinking... Most of their role models weren't real people, but they could talk about their zizi, they supposed.

I look up to my Zizi a lot. They raise me all by themselves and that's really hard. I get sick a lot but Zizi never gets mad and always takes good care of me. ZIzi is really good at divination! I think that's really cool. I would like to do that, too. Maybe with numerology because I like numbers. Zizi says I can do anything I want to.

There... that would do! Kaname then carefully drew a picture of their parent, and then wrote their name on the page before handing it in to Tethys.

The nixie-fey hybrid smiled as one clear canidate came to mind - Ziya! The junior was so great! But... Atoli frowned. They weren't very confident in their artistic abilities... So they opted to write out a reasoning on why they looked up to him.

"Ziya is a junior that is friends with my mom. My mom had 4 of us all by herself and I think that's unheard of so I think she has a lot of trouble handling all of us at once. So Ziya helps her out. He's like a cool big brother. He's really, really nice and he has a pretty tail! I like when he holds me in his tail too, hehehe. And he brushes my hair and makes it really pretty. He's just really really really really cool."

They started to draw a picture of the naga, but frowned. Drawing was so hard... They drew some swirls to represent his tail and... Glancing at their more artistic sister, Lumi, they tapped her shoulder and showed her the art. "Can you help me, Lumi..." they whispered, hoping it wasn't cheating to get help with their drawing. Lumi, though looking disgruntled about it, obliged and finished off the drawing. Atoli added in some colors with some crayons, figuring that they should at least have some part in the art.

Luminoire set her chin in her hands as she pondered the question. The obvious answer was her mom! But.. Well she didn't want it to be too obvious. Tapping her chin, she gave a soft gasp as she realized who she had grown to idolize and immediately went to drawing. She carefully outlined a freshling litch with a marker and pulling out some paints, added in some color because, hey, why not? She enjoyed art. She glanced over to her sibling, Atoli who seemed to be struggling at drawing the only naga they knew and rolled her eyes, taking the paper and finishing the drawing for them. "There you go." Turning back to her work, she very slowly wrote Lilan's name to the side and she added a small excerpt below the art:

I drew Lilan!! He's this big kid freshling that my mommy met once and he's really super cool. I think he can be mean sometimes and he makes me want to cry a little but that's ok because Juju does the same to me. I really, really wanna be just like him when I grow up. He knows he's cool and like that's s o o o o rad.

A role model, huh?! Naoya knew JUST the person he wanted to share. He quickly broke out the colored pencils and started scribbling away. His older cousin Amatus was definitely the person he looked up to the most!

This is my cousin Amatus!! He's REALLY COOL! He dances and he goes to grundle grunge GRENDEL school. I woulda drawn Leah too but you said one person so I'm gonna go with Amatus. But they both left first!! When we were allowed to leave. Amatus teaches me how to do the dance stuff that he does. He even took me to his school once!!!! It was really cool!!!

There. That was done! Satisfied, Naoya scribbled his name at the top - pausing a moment to erase and then rewrite it with the correct alphabet - and then turned it in.

Papaya, of course, settled in next to their sisters... Atoli seemed a bit lost with the drawing part, but had passed it to Lum for help. Well! That just meant they could focus more on what they wanted to draw... Hmm... Choosing their mom would be obvious, and Atoli already drew Ziya.... Their eyes wandered around the class until they spotted Naoya.

Aha!

This is Naoya. He is my friend! He is really loud sometimes and likes to have all of the attention in the room but he is nice. He teaches me about where he is from, it sounds very warm there. I would like to visit someday. Naoya has really soft fur, too. Its fun to pet his ears because then he purrs like a real vespercat.

There... They wrote their name at the top, and then peeked over at what their sisters were doing...

Social studies used to be his favorite class- but now it was just... misery. Andromeda sighed at the announcement of a test, and just... lazily pulled out his pencil case. He started filling it out as soon as Tethys set the papers on his desk, finding that he knew most of this from previous reading. Well, that was lucky...

Once he was done, he wrote his name at the top, dated it, and then passed it in to Tethys. One more class down...

It was test season, that was for sure. For Social Studies, Flax had some preparation before his exam. He crammed a bit the night before, and when he got to the test the next day, he was relieved to see he knew at least some of the answers. He was a bit shaky on Daydream history, or really, anything besides the Grimm and Nixie history, but he thought he did pretty well. Enough to pass, at least.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The fallen junior had stayed up later than he normally did in order to prepare for this test. Part of him wished he hadn't stayed up that late because he was feeling a little sleepy as he read through the questions. Still, he did well despite a couple of stifled yawns before he handed his paper in.

User Image Aedus drew the only person he could think could think that he looked up to. Liege Servius, and since he didn't know what he looked like he just drew how he imagined Servius looked like. Powerful, cool, tough looking.

oz

Oz hadn't studied for this particular test at all, but when he saw that imp from health class in the back row as he and Howard arrived, he knew he had at least one person to beat. The baphomet narrowed his eyes as he took his seat, leaning over his test and circling a forearm around it as if the other senior could cheat from across the room.

In the end, he did about as poorly as he could have done without failing, but that was all right he supposed. It seemed the imp had failed. Oz stifled a chuckle as he rose and passed the other's desk on the way to the front of the room, offering him a salute and receiving a scowl in return. He probably hadn't even been aware that they'd been competing.

greer

Nope. Greer hadn't even known Oz was present at all for most of the period. The imp had plenty to deal with on his own, not the least of which were his nerves going into this test. It wasn't that he hadn't studied, he just couldn't get the information straight in his head. He was already on his second test when the cheeky baphomet passed, but Greer definitely found a spare moment to scowl at the boy as he did, shaking his head. First the obstacle course, now this? Why was he doomed to do worse in his classes than some stupid horn... head? Greer reached up to rub at his own. He couldn't even think up a proper insult.

howard

Howard had no idea what was going on. All he knew was that he had been well prepared to ace this test when they'd arrived but now Oz was making angry eyes at some far too colorful imp and Howard's composure was starting to crack. What was going on?

He almost broke decorum to ask the baphomet just that, but even though his curiosity was eating away at him, Howard remained silent. It would have to be a discussion for another time.

He got to work but remained unable to keep his attention off of the pair even after he should have been well into his own exam. When Oz rose to leave, Howard rushed through the last of his unanswered questions, hurrying out after Oz with no regard for his grade. Howard needed to find out what was going on here, and if he had to sacrifice his grades to do so, he would. Maybe. This one at least.

User ImageCervina coughed as she stood up to present her picture. She knew immediately who she wanted to draw, though she wasn’t sure if Pawsa would appreciate the sentiment. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but she wasn’t an art major either. She was proud of it, even if it looked sloppy.

“The Nightmare I look up to is Pawsillita Abelli, or Pawsa for short. She’s super cool and I really like spending time with her. She’s actually my big sibling in the sibling program and a student in Leviathan.” She really was someone the little goblin looked up to, “I really like when we go get pizza together, we’re actually going later today!”

The imp kept his eyes on the baphomet and chimera as they left the room, ignoring the third test that was placed in front of him.

Another failure. How many tests could he take before he was kicked out of the room?

Greer sighed. He supposed it wouldn't be a good limit to discover. He knew he had it in him to do this, he just had to... do it.

Clearing his mind of stupid, jerky baphomets, he looked at his fourth test with (hopefully) new eyes and got to work.

This time, he passed for a change.
