It's better to live with their whispers than with nothing at all..."It hadn't been a particularly dangerous fight at the factory, but several of the bodies of the cars in the old Hyundai factory they had re-purposed had been stained with the blood of the attackers. The Harutopian Army was becoming a well-oiled machine from all of the attacks repelled of late, and they had managed to put down the invasion this time with little trouble. It was even more surprising, perhaps, that they hadn't killed anyone in the struggle. Prisoners were taken, to be returned to the 'Courthouse' to be judged by Yama for their sins during this apocalypse. And their goods and currency were taken to be placed into Ghost Q's bank.
It was a good system, fair. Haruto looked out over the factory as the one scientist he'd found in his 'Kingdom' that had been assigned to the Flying Car Project came out from his hiding place. Maybe now wasn't the right time to mention it, but he couldn't help making a plea once more to the King that he hoped he would hear...
"Sir...maybe we should shut down this project?" he suggested quietly, not wanting to upset their heroic ruler,"After all, like I said...I'm not a mechanic. I'm not even a physicist. I'm just a chemist..."

Some rioters have regrouped and are making an attempt on Troitown! They say that the Governess is away on business and the supplies for the burgers are in danger! We've got to do something!" the crier rushed down the road as the fighters were heading back towards the capitol, but no sooner had the word come than Haruto was turning to his men with a determined expression and a raised cell phone (weapon)! "This day will be a red day! A long day! Ere' the SUN RISES!" he cried, obviously quoting a movie that only some of the crowd understood and offered lukewarm cheers in response to before he at last turned around and drew his other weapon, ready to lead the charge to the Wild Duck Burger, "They may take our lives...but they'll never take...OUR BURGERS!"
His war cry rang out through the streets, and...wait, was he quoting a DIFFERENT movie now?! This was...well, there he went charging down the streets before anybody really had the opportunity to question it. And out in the front of the pack was Mandingo Pendragon, having brought what force he could spare from Mandragora for the raid on the Factory, now side-by-side with his 'King' in the charge...the only one sharing his enthusiasm for battle, movie quotes, and of course, kicking the HELL out of some rioters!

It's better to live with their whispers than with nothing at all...""You may...have beaten them...but you idiots can't beat ME! ********> the last of the rioters outside of Troitown launched himself at the King and found himself kneed in the gut by the King and cracked across the face with a wicked hook by the Mandingo, crumbling him into a gasping, vomiting, broken mess on the ground below. Another battle, another victory...organization in the midst of a chaos was truly a remarkable thing and it raised their survival odds immediately. Even the demons were starting to become wary of this area despite all of the smells and targets within. If they kept it up, perhaps? "SNEAK ********, hook. Did they never learn?

This time, the cheers were louder and more real. Even if their King was a moron, they couldn't deny the pride they felt in protecting this place that had become their own. Be sure to tip your servers on the way out," the King commanded as they prepared to file out of the cafeteria of Troitown, nodding in the direction of her seat before moving towards the door, "d**k-Rice, you're on scout duty! Cocky Leader, you're his wingman. Make sure there aren't any devils or rioters on the road. Everyone else, you're with Berserker and I. Let's move out!"
Despite the groans and laughter of the scouts as they took off from the room, Haruto felt good about what they had accomplished on this outing. They needed to expand again soon, though, as the housing was becoming an issue again. They were as full as one of the shelters in the city now, but they weren't originally intended for that. Perhaps if they officially settled the Police Station they had raided for weapons earlier, they could let some people stay there and set up another Colony? She had her eyebrow and a smirk both raised faintly in curiosity, however, and confronted him before he could reach the seat as if something important were about to be brought up between them, "The Flying Car Project. ...Don't pretend like the secret isn't out of the bag, JPs knows everything that's going on around here. I want to know if you have any schematics, concepts, progress. I had a few of my own when I was younger, but they were just the whims of a child. If you had something now, though...I could do a lot more with it than one of your scientists."
...Well, this was a surprise.
"And you are...?"
"Fumi Kanno. Are you going to let me examine the plans or not?" she asked impatiently, but with that haughty little smirk still plastered to her face, "C'mon, I haven't been this interested in a new technology since the Chief gave us the App."
...How should he respond to this?
"Talk to Dr. Claw at the Factory on the back end of the Station. He'll give you everything we have."
...Which was nothing, but she didn't know that. And her smile was unnerving him, even as she waved him off and was out the door in seconds.
That girl...was kind of hot.  Ellie Troit, Heroine, and Ruler of Troitown!! Ellie proudly walked back towards the building, seeing the familiar store..and walking in.
"Ellie Troit has returned home!" she called out to the group, a bustling restaurant, despite a few setbacks here and there. For a few moments, there was utter silence...Disbelief.
Before the groups Heralded the return of their Governess, and she grinned.
'Ohhh Yeah. I missed this.' she thought, before holding out her phone, and grinning.
"We have a new assistant for our kitchen, too." she called, before the large blue demon emerged...
Thankfully outside of the building. Some controlled fire, swatting a few pesky flying demons that were being sent to try to spy on them... and a bit of positioning later, Troitown had a sign set up to show the return of their leader..and to advertise their newest product.

It's better to live with their whispers than with nothing at all..."His last visitor was strange, but now that she was gone, the Kingdom was calmed for the first time in the last hour or so. It was a nice change of pace to be able to sit on the throne and relax. There were a few citizens with ideas for how to run the Kingdom who had not yet gotten the chance to speak to him, but he kept them waiting for the time being to unwind. A report had come in five minutes ago about a devil attacking the Gate, but his Troll had smashed it with little fanfare and reduced it to nothing. That...had been one of his better investments, he was already quite sure. His lips curled into a smile as they recounted how the Troll had danced after the victory.
He had quite a few strange characters in the Kingdom...Ellie, Mandingo, d**k-Rice, May, Cocky Leader, Dr. Claw, and the list was only growing...soon he'd have his own soccer squad. Ooh! Greater idea! Baseball team! Did they have a field around here? They should have a Harutopia Baseball Game to let off some steam! Humans vs. Demons! It's better to live with their whispers than with nothing at all...""My lord, I present to you...Sir Daichi of Tokyo," the crier announced loudly, ushering the timid young man with the yellow scarf into the room who clearly didn't seem to be entirely comfortable with this old-timey introduction nor the idea of a 'King' of this new 'Nation' right here on Japanese soil...but he bravely kept that to himself as he spoke up, "Um, I was just looking for the Wild Duck Burger when your Troll grabbed me and told me I had to pass the riddle to enter? I tried to run, but I couldn't get away...a-anyway, I don't want any trouble, man. I don't even need to go get a burger that bad, I'd just heard someone say they were 'Hellishly Good'? S-so I thought...I don't know, can I go?"
Haruto looked long and hard at the teen, as if analyzing his threat level...he was meek, but there was strength within him. He nodded in approval and told the soldiers lining the path to let him be.

Maybe he could convince Cocky Leader and d**k-Rice to joust? Or maybe he could have an arm-wrestling match with Mandingo...no, nope, bad idea. He liked his arm.

It's better to live with their whispers than with nothing at all..."Near death was a good way to lose your perspective on things, maybe even your will to live for a short time, but Haruto was fortunate to pull himself out of the depression that Jack's terrible performance had put in just in time for his crier to rush in and scream about a horde of rioters coming to tear down their walls and steal from the civilization 'stealing from the poor'. Ridiculous, anybody was welcome in Harutopia so long as they passed the screening...but nonetheless they had rushed the Troll and were currently putting up a fight while seeing several of their numbers tossed like rag dolls by the big, dumb devil. And despite Loki whispering over his shoulder that death was the only fate deserved by such maggots that challenged him, Haruto resisted the urge for murder and gathered his soldiers to go put down the rebellion by non-lethal means.
"Come! We ride to defend our homes! To defend our way of life! To defend our patent on Flying Cars! FOR HARUTOPIA!" he waved his arm and rushed out, making their way to the battle site in a short time and joining in with no hesitation. Troll had mostly done the work for them, however, and anyone who still had the will to fight was swiftly subdued by a dissatisfied Loki. It wasn't so big an event in the end...still, it was emblematic of a bigger problem. The larger Harutopia grew, the more people would resent them...and resentment meant they had to defend themselves against it.
