Gwen flinches from the sudden loud noise, hands instantly covering her sensitive ears. "Jesus! I knew I should have stayed home today!" She glares after the running woman, huffing when she somewhat hears Lucky, "Haven't a clue who that is." She walks towards the booth and starts looking for a way to turn it off.

Tobias was still trying to get the blotches from his vision to go away when he heard a noise. Squinting, he tried to look in that direction and heard a sneeze. There also seemed to be some golden sparkles floating about from around the corner. He was still blinking as she came back into view and held out her hand.
"Gone already? I can just barely see some of it."
Trying to give her a reassuring smile, he made himself solid and took her hand. Giving it a gentle squeeze, he turned his head to gaze in the other direction from the glitter explosion.
"I am alright, just having a little trouble seeing. I shall be fine momentarily, though I might need to move a little slower for a moment."

"Well, once it runs out of power, it will eventually dissipate. Until then, we can hit up the second floor." Still keeping her voice low, she returned the squeeze, eventually letting go of his hand. He would be okay, they just had to remain in the darker parts of the mirror maze for now. Rai felt bad for Tobias, and kept well away from him, preferring to hover about the edge of the room, while still keeping them in view. He would keep his light to a dull flicker until his princess said otherwise.

"We can rest in there if you like, though I hope you won't take that the wrong way." She jokingly replied, jerking a thumb back to the hidden make out spot. It was pretty dark in there, and also somewhat comfy. The smell was a slight deterrent, though. Giving his arm a soft pat, Rae began crunching her way through the broken glass and on to the next section of the house. She knew he wouldn't need to stop, and like the loyal friend she was, the princess would keep her pace slow, stopping at the next corner to give him time to catch up.

"Good idea. Let us hope the stairs are not too much farther."
He smiled at the return squeeze, then chuckled at her words.
"No, I think I would prefer not to go in there. It may be darker, but there are far too many other factors in there."
He gave her a wry smile then slowly followed after her.
"Are the star alright, by the way?"
Tobias was only slowed down momentarily and before long was easily keeping pace behind her again. His eyes hurt a little, but he could at least see alright again.
A few twists and turns later, they found the stairs. Tobias peered over her head, studying them.
"Shall I go first and see how it looks?"

"What are you doing out here in the dead of night anyway?" She hadn't asked the question earlier due to not wanting to answer it herself. But it really seemed to her that if the girl was having a bad time in the fairgrounds, she would have gone home by now. Yet here Gwen was. Eventually, though she did not find whatever had been stepped on, she found the next best thing: the power cords. With a swift yank, the music and the lights died again, leaving them in the smaller light of the star.

"They shouldn't be from what the picture said. Then again, who knows? It wasn't much to look at to begin with." Was she annoyed about going into this whole thing pretty much blind? Possibly. At least she had her star to tell her where to go. Or at least the general direction, but she knew he'd never lead her astray on purpose.

"Fair enough." Putting thoughts of a shoddy and unkempt make out spot from her mind, she continued onward past rows and rows of broken and somehow still intact mirrors until they came to the staircase that would lead them to the next floor. "The stars? They skittered off before I could really talk to them, so I assume so. Remember, they're celestial beings, and can take more rough housing than you think."

Tilting her head back to look up at him, Rae realized he was in fact much taller than her. A tiny princess in a world full of freakishly tall nonhumans.. There's an anime in there somewhere. "If you want to.. but be careful, alright? If you need any help, just yell. I can catch up on catblr while you scout ahead." She was only half joking about that last bit. Ravena would never pause halfway through an adventure just to see what was new on the internet. It was tempting, of course, but that was an activity best left for the celebratory after party. For now, the princess would wait right there, leaning against the wall with her arms folded across her chest all stoic like, Raiden hovering nearby.

Giving her a smile, he carefully eased around her returning to smoke again.
"Of course, Rae my dear. I shall take the utmost care. You shall be the first to know if help is needed."
With a nod, he ascended the stairs. Things seemed stable, though really in this state he couldn't be sure. Reaching the top, he looked around seeing the opening to the second part of the maze before him and little else. A gleam of light was reflecting back through the mirrors. Probably from the windows as the picture downstairs had shown. Wait, did that mean something was on somewhere?
Moving back down into view of where Rae was, he beckoned her forward.
"I believe it is stable, but take it slow. I saw a reflection of some light. I do not recall anything being on, do you?"

((I am for some reason rather amused at you referring to him as a "freakishly tall nonhuman". ))

"Oh, thank god..." Gwen mumbles happily, the horrible music now gone. She frowns when she hears Lucky's question, eyes flicking around nervously for a moment. "I was just looking around when I ran into some people I new. They were looking for an astro-something or other and I decided to help them." Not a lie, but not the whole truth. "Why are you here?"

As he was sneaking about, looking for his lost friend, the green man soon found that the place was a lot scarier than he had realised before. At least it was when you knew that shady people could be lurking anywhere...

Suddenly, some loud music blasted off, as bright lights lit up a booth nearby. Orrin threw himself on the ground by instinct, but soon realised that it was far enough away not to be able to harm him. Hopefully... He dragged himself back up and brushed off his clothes. Not that it really made much of a difference, with how filthy they already were...

He then decided it wiser to be walking in the opposite direction of that one booth, even though the lights and the music were quickly turned off again. Such a scene would likely attract more of those shady people he did not want to run into... It used to be a lot easier hiding around here when there were no people looking for things..., he thought to himself as he searched forth. She had to be around there, somewhere... "P-p-p-pie lady...? A-are y-you... Are you l-lost...?"

(OoC: Meant to do this last night, but... Ah well, better late than never. You may all blame Solsi for giving me the go ahead for shenanigans.)

Before the red head can respond to Gwen, a shudder suddenly runs through the girls body. She drops to her knees with a pained and confused expression, "W-what..? Why is t-this only happening n-!?" She interupts herself with a sharp cry of pain as one of her legs suddenly jerks under her, causing her to pitch forward and barely catch herself with her hands. She glances up at the sky to see that the clouds that had previously been blocking the moon had moved to reveal it to be a malevolent shade of red. The girls eyes start to glow a red tinged gold as another shudder runs through her, "S-s**t..! You n-need to get a-" She interrupts herself again with a scream of agony, her whole body jerking as the unmistakable sound of bones breaking and rearranging themselves begin to be heard.

As she ran out of the Haunted House, Sammy suddenly screeched to a halt and dropped Xashowd's hand. "What was that?" she asked in a hushed tone, hearing the jarring screams echoing through the night sky. "Someone's in trouble...and it sounds like...Gwen!" Starting to glow faintly as her concern mounted, Sammy looked right, then left, and ran in the direction it seemed to originate from.

OOC: Sammy got her cast off, but since I started this rp when it was still broken just pretend it's still there. =w=b

Where are you now, Gwen? Been a while since I posted here, kinda lost track.

The zombie was already heading away from the previously loud game booth, when a sudden scream echoed through the entire place. It was a horrible scream, that likes which no man could hear without feeling a bit uneasy. And with Orrin's sensitive ears, did he feel more than just a bit uneasy, just then...

The green guy huddled up in the place where he stood, quickly losing all interest in moving. The only thing he could care about now was not to panic, though it was far from an easy task.

Sammy bolted through the darkness, trying not to jostle her injured arm too much. S-sorry Xashowd, she thought as she ran. You'll have to keep looking without me. Unless of course the reverberating screams had something to do with the astrolabe at work. That outcome was almost too frightening to consider. Reports said it held tremendous power... Sammy swallowed hard and kept running, following where her gut told her to go. At that moment she could only hope it wasn't found and being used for evil... She slowed to a halt as she rounded the corner, staring down an aisle of game booths facing each other. "G-Gwen..." she huffed tiredly. "...a-are you all right?"

OOC: Game booths it is~

"Of course, Rae my dear. I shall take the utmost care. You shall be the first to know if help is needed."
With a nod, he ascended the stairs. Things seemed stable, though really in this state he couldn't be sure. Reaching the top, he looked around seeing the opening to the second part of the maze before him and little else. A gleam of light was reflecting back through the mirrors. ((I am for some reason rather amused at you referring to him as a "freakishly tall nonhuman". ))

"As there's no one else but me here, I'll take it." Raiden was there too, but a he was in his star form at the moment, she didn't count him. A she waited, she took the opportunity to turn her senses back on, closing her eyes and listening carefully for any other presence. Aside from her own heartbeat, and Toby being just up the stairs, Rae concluded there was no one else inside the house of mirrors with them. For the moment.

Just as she was about to turn her senses off again, she heard a loud growling noise coming from somewhere outside. Tilting her head to the side to get better reception, she payed close attention the growls. They sounded nothing like the one she heard earlier. That noise came from a beast much larger than the one she was listening to now. The current noises sounded something akin to the ones her brother makes during the full moon.

Eyes flying open, the princess made to dash back up the stairs to inform Toby, only to nearly collide with him a second time. Quickly regaining her composure, she relayed everything she'd just heard to her friend, hardly pausing for breath. Only after she was finished did his words break her concentration. "On? I have no idea, I thought this whole place was abandoned.. We can go see, but those noises I heard have me really worried. I don't want anyone to get hurt." Thankfully, Ravena didn't rush headlong into danger guns blazing. This princess always had a backup plan.

They would check out the rest of the house of mirrors, and if the astrolabe was nowhere to be found, then she would ask Toby about finding the beast outside. Raiden hadn't reported anything resembling wolves, but she knew better. Someone was out there, confused and in pain, and if there was something she could do to help, she would certainly try her best to assist in any way she could.

((Everyone is freakishly tall to her. I'm sure no one would blame her if she developed a complex about it. Sorry this is so rushed, if I need to edit anything, I'll do so when I get on tonight.))

Scythes, Watermelon, and Flowing Breezes.
These are the things that bring me Joy.

*Sorry for being absent for so long! cat_sweatdrop I'll try to catch up. And same for Xashowd's outfit, since it started when he was in his Garnet Grandeur. Lemme know if I need to edit any details.*

Xashowd pretty much went with the flow, gliding along behind Sammy as she dragged him out of the Haunted House, Thanaphyr speeding along as fast as he could to keep up. Once they got outside, they heard a scream that pierced the night, filled with the sounds of pain. "What the hell!? Please tell me I'm not gonna have work tonight, we're on a mission!" Thanaphyr exclaimed as Sammy ran off, shouting Gwen's name. "I don't think anyone's dead...yet." He said. He looked up just as the clouds in the sky parted, the moon a dark shade of crimson. That's rarely good... He thought, then ran after Sammy. The moon was not only red, but full. And since Gwen was a Werewolf, that meant only one thing...

Following Sammy (who he noticed had started to glow again), he and Thanaphyr reached the Game Booths not long after she did, the same stench filling the air as when they'd passed through here. Only now the scent of Werewolf permeated the air as well, Gwen kneeling on the ground as the transformation was taking hold. "Sammy! Stay back!" He warned, stopping right next to her. He knew from their previous encounters that Gwen was a young werewolf, and as such did not have full control of the beast within. "I'm not sure why it's red, but regardless the moon is full. Gwen's about to become very dangerous..." He explained, unsure if Sammy knew what Gwen was. "Man...I was really hoping this would be a simple treasure hunt." Thanaphyr sighed.
