MeduMa HP: 32-1= 31; entangled Failed to free a lusus
Once again, the vines refused to budge. An orangeblood had just released two in a row from somewhere, and she was still stuck on this stupid beast of a lusus! Maybe that kid was cheating. She had a knife or something, and was being too stupid to share. Lorata seethed, and kept pulling.

for trolls who have not posted yet You start this battle with the amount of HP you lost during the CYOA subtracted from your health. Groups that reached Aendal's lair first have rested and do not have a health penalty.
Trolls who have lost their lusii: Your lusus has been turned against you, and is struggling against Aendal’s influence and the plants that are holding it hostage. Before you can take part in the battle, you may attempt to free them. Write a RP post in which your troll frees your lusus; you may decide how difficult it is to free them, and how serious their injuries are. Once you get your lusus back, your HP will be the standard 40 for lusii, minus any health lost during the CYOA (except for groups who have rested). As per usual, lusii will take all attacks and the damage directed at their charge during this battle. 606/700how 2 bossfite | wiggler version: electric boogalooAny questions regarding battle mechanics should be asked in the main meta thread. LUSII UNDER AENDAL'S CONTROL: 88/100Aendal may take additional damage from a combined attack when a certain amount of lusii are freed. (staff will keep track of this number and the damage dealt due to this effect.)Lusii needed for next combined attack: 15 Aendal is mobbed by furious freed lusii, ones with children to protect and ones who's charges are now his puppets, who deal a total of 10 extra damage to him. They were fighting still - not paralyzed like the pisswigglers they were - and it was ******** irritating. Aendal roared and dug his machete into a vine with unrestrained ferocity. Water spewed out of the vine, but the weapon stuck in place as he clapped his hands together. Die.As soon as Aendal's thunderous clap landed above the fray, the seedpods on the drones swelled. They were full to burst of razor-sharp seeds. Those trolls who had the misfortune to witness his deadly Iratusque Rubum in action. The seeds inside of the pods -- and some inside of the drones themselves -- exploded with violent force.
IF YOU WERE ENTANGLED AT THE END OF THE ROUND: If you rolled a 1, 2, or 3, you take the brunt of the damage. The drones are nearly giving you a hug, and you feel the splintering razor seeds cutting and the pooling blood that follows. Take 3 damage and deal no damage this turn. If you rolled a 4 or 5, you recognize the danger and struggle your hardest to escape from the vines. In doing so, you manage to protect yourself somewhat from the blast. Take 3 damage. If you rolled a 6, you react quickly enough to tear away from the vines and the drones, and drop to the ground to avoid most of the damage. Take 1 damage. IF YOU ARE NOT ENTANGLED: If you rolled a 1 or 2, while not entangled, your close proximity to the drones does you no favors. You're caught in a deadly crossfire and take 3 damage. If you rolled a 3 or 4, you manage to duck and cover before the going gets rough and avoid most of the damage from the seeds. You take 1 damage and deal no damage this turn. If you rolled a 5, you manage a sweet roll and a few badass pirouettes and dodge the seeds, heading straight for Aendal. If you rolled a 6, a quick reaction allows you to strategize the best place to position yourself, and not only do you dodge the seeds, but the blast goes off in time to do a fair bit of damage to enemies around you. You charge through the blitz to meet Aendal head-on. Deal 2 extra damage this turn. Half hour options:Fight! Teens can choose to attack Aendal once every half hour, as normal. Free! Kids can attempt to free the lusii from Aendal’s influence. Roll 2d4 as normal at the beginning of the round (first die representing the dodge roll, second representing damage). You can roll 1d4 at each half-hour interval. This roll deals no damage. When you roll two of the same number in a row you free a lusus, which attacks Aendal upon being liberated and deals the sum of those two numbers as damage. Note that the first number (representing dodge) in the 2d4 rolled in the beginning of the round does not count towards freeing a lusus. When this occurs, please post in bold the damage that you have dealt, and that you have freed a lusus.Example: Kid A rolls 2d4 at the beginning of the round and gets a 2 and a 3. At the next half-hour opportunity, they roll 1d4 and get a 3. Since they got two 3’s in a row, they deal a total of 6 damage to Aendal and free a lusus from his grasp.

As the poor trapped lusii spilled into view, Nervit immediately began to look for one specific lusus: her own. Pyredad was small, and hard to spot, and as Nervit moved through the luusii she got pecked and hit and shoved by all manner of white creatures. She pressed her hands to her ears to try and stop the reverberating screaming of luusii in pain, all the while hoping and praying that her own lusus had survived somehow...Pyredad was so small, so weak. They never should have come here, Nervit realized.
What could they hope to do? Would Pyredad's poisonous bite even work against the undead? This was foolishness...utter foolishness, Nervit was beginning to understand. And for what? A few beetles? A reward from the queen? What would that matter - how would that matter, if Pyredad were to perish? Tears flowing freely now, Nervit began to cry out for her lusus.
"PYRE DAD! PYREDAD! PYREDAAAAD~"
And then Nervit saw the brown. A familiar shade of brown. All too familiar.
"No...."
The words slipped from her mouth as she ran heedlessly towards Pyredad, who's tiny body seemed coated in brown blood. Tearing at the vines with her bare hands, heedless of the thorns cutting into her palms, Nervit carefully brought the body (let it not be a corpse..let it not be a corpse!) of Pyredad from the vines and bringing it to her face.
".....Dad?"
Her voice wavered as she spoke to him.
"Dad?"
And then, just as Nervit was beginning to give up hope, Pyredad stirred. Injured yes, but not dead. Nervit began to sob in relief, collapsing to the floor, momentarily forgetting the battle around her - at least until a lumbering drone stood in front of her, when she stood up and ran the other way, carefully tucking Pyredad around her horn as she did so.

Keionx Rutace Damage: 4? I'm very confused. HP = -3 to whoever decides to take this... quote me if you do so I know. O___O Thank you Odette for tanking those hits before!
Action: Trying to Free Lusii
Keionx was horrified as Odette took the hit for her, her eyes wide as vines encircled and attacked the redblood. No... no! Keionx was supposed to protect others. Not the other way around.
But it seemed she had had to be protected, had been so by someone she didn't even know. That was... a lot. Even Keionx knew that.
And Keionx knew that she was right. With a grunt, she attacked the vines again... only to find herself caught in the middle of two very fat, very nasty very AWFUL pods...

Watching the other trolls around her and the tide of battle, while keeping the drone encircling her at sword's distance, Regina's small body finally came into use as she noticed the pods swelling. She staggered back, using her sword as an impromptu shield. As soon as the explosions died away she stepped forward again, cutting the final drone down in one anger-fueled swing. HP: 15/20 ATT: +1 Regina did 7 damage!

Keionx Rutace HP = -3 to whoever tanks it for her Thank yous to: Odette for tanking those hits and that awful entanglement
Action: Trying to Free Lusii (Numbers last round: 2, 4), failed this round
Keionx hacked wildly at the vines, disturbed to find that they only grew right back as she did so. There was some of her own richly orange blood on her clothes, but because of the effort of the teenagers protecting her, there wasn't more, and she knew that, from her delusional head to her frantic core. But she couldn't think about that now, she couldn't... there were Lusii to save.

It was still a huge mess, and Reemus had gotten basically nothing done in all this time. It was hard with bleeding feet and raging soreness. He needed a nap. Woofmum had kept drones, mad lusii, and rebound moves away from him up to this point, and Reemus was just so glad she was back.
Meanwhile, he noticed Nervit shouting for her lusus. Oh jeez, they HAD left him behind, hadn't they? Reemus moved to help, but turned a different direction upon hearing a loud clap. The jadeblood was doing another terrible something! Reemus snarled, not even knowing what was going on yet, but just annoyed the guy was still breathing. Or whatever a plant-troll did. He would've just kept growling, or turned back to Nervit upon hearing her voice again, but he noticed a nearby drone starting to...move. Well, something ON it stirred. Pods were growing in size, and Gillian noticed, too. She put herself between him and whatever was going on.
Then.
BAM.
It was like the spores all over again, an attack of nature in small yet painful bursts. Woofmum slammed on top of Reemus, taking a few of the seeds into her side with a loud yelp, but her fluff was enough to pad the damage. Reemus himself, while not happy to hit the ground AGAIN, didn't get seeded at all.
He wriggled out from under her as quick as he could. "Mum? Mum! You okay?"
Gillian murred out a yes, and got up on her feet again, shaking off seeds as she did so. Yeah, she didn't look too worse for wear. Good. Reemus patted her on the head in relief and a thanks in one, then looked around to figure out the game plan before the jade bloke could toss out another nasty thing at them.

Splitch was easy enough to spot, even if the lusus hadn't been screeching at the top of very impressive lungs. Alexin rushed towards them, digging in their pockets for something, anything that would cut the vines. Scissors? No.. they needed their knife. Where was it where was it....THERE! Owch. Nicking their fingers on the blade as they grabbed it they began to cut the vines free from their lusus, freeing them slowly and painfully. Feathers were trapped and broken, bleeding freely as the vines tightened around the bird, resiting the blade.
But soon enough Splitch was free and splaying their wings aggressively at anything that even came NEAR their baby.

[haha I forgot to select number of dice for nervit otl;;]
Now that Nervit had freed her own lusus, it was time to try and get free some of the others - that seemed the most useful thing to do, anyway.

Taking a step back, Regina lowered her sword and pointed a finger up at Aendal. "Hey pal! You wanna know what the remains of your life would be like if I were out of play? You wanna know what the last thing would be like before you died? Have a taste!"Clenching the outstretched hand, she narrowed her eyes. For trolls near her, there was a sudden popping in their ears, as though the pressure in the room had suddenly changed. For Aendal, the sensation he felt would be far more painful, damp, tentacled and unpleasant. HP: 15/20 ATT: +1 USING GL'BGOLYB'S WHISPERS offensive ARegina did 2 damage!

Action: Trying to Free Lusii (Number last round: 3) Failed Keionx was not near the queen, and hadn't even noticed her existence in the blind need to save them all. The vines still eluded her - two seemed to sprout for every one she cut, like some sort of plant hydra, stinging the Lusii around her with every wave of their renewed tendrils...

There wasn't much time to deal with the...the drone. It was in incredibly close range - and while Alifax appreciated that for the ease of hitting them, he didn't appreciate how much bigger they were than he was. If adulthood gave Alifax anything he hoped it'd be the ability to tower over others - or maybe not; you were harder to hide when you were tall. But also less noticeably strange... That was a thought for another night. He tried to lunge closer but at the same time flowerpods across the cavern were - exploding? Alifax found himself on his back. At least he was free of the damn drone. ooc info HP: 17/20 (missed first round; sypon/ami let me know what to do later i guess ;; ) damage done: 0 stuff: novice agility b, novice defense b, power which is offense b (all unused) o also his meteors are military grade! c:
