Yelena chuckled and pet Iniu more. "Calm down darling it's ok no need to get your hair all ruffled up. I meant no offense by it. I was only making a comment. So just calm down. I know it's the people not the beast to be blamed. And what's wrong? Why the sad look on your face?" She stepped closer and looked into his eyes very worried now. She walked over and nodded. "Yes two for scouting." She looked over at Kiyelt. "Thank you but you don't need to. I'm sure there are other more important things to watch than me." And I can keep myself safe. She added in her head though would never say that out loud. It was just too rude.It was a kind offer.
She laughed as she watched the sail scale. Such a silly guy. Her hand slipped into Icewalker's fur she would have to leave him somewhere safe probably. He was quiet but too big for stealth. And she wasn't sure she could bring Aril with her. She just didn't know. She cuddled Iniu more.
She glanced at the new comer and listened to what she had to say. And then turned to Kiyelt. "That's amazing. I really hope they help us out. That would be make things maybe a little easier."
Yelena: Location: Beast pen then to Antiope, Post: 7
“I will need no such thing,” Nera snipped, her voice tight yet held an edge to it which dripped with some of the venom and sharpness it once wielded without restraint. Tilting her head back the boyish youth groaned as if the treatment was indignant however the moment the snowy-haired shifter summoned rhythm into the rumbling purr that occupied her throat Nera relaxed visibly. For a long while the redheaded Oban pushed her chiseled cheeks and slightly-crooked nose against that of the taller woman’s shoulder and stable arms enjoying the warmth and the comfort they brought her.
‘very important news’ The words from outside of the tent seemed to seep into the fabric of the walls and lay heavily in the curvature of Nera’s rounded ears. A small hand crept upward and a long, slender digit pinned Lucijah’s supple lips signaling for silence. ‘Jauhar has already fallen to these fiends,’ The male voice continued on, confident, loud and unwavering from some distance away, it was hard hearing everything that was being said but the lean-figured youth focused with utmost concentration. ‘We are the betters, WE are the better fighters.’
Bristling at the declaration Nera retracted her digits from the warmth of her lover’s mouth and sneered towards the exit of the sleeping tent. “How could he say that? My people won that battleground based on resources and military tactic! My people aren’t savages that ravage their prisoners! How dare…… HOW DARE HE SAY THEY ARE THE BETTER FIGHTERS!” The floodgate of trauma and emotions that the girl had been forced to dam surged against the sedated demeanor that had acted as a protective shield, rage burned from her chest and spread outward until a raw heat tore from her throat ripping the outrage from her body so violently she trembled and fell forward gripping Lucijah for support. “Beloved-mine, how could—c-c-c-could he say that? I will show him, I will make every single one of them suffer, I will make them feel my anguish and know what true savagery is!”

PADMA Post 5 xxxxSupply Tents
Padma smiled as the sailscale sniffed at her nut, but when it stepped back from it, looking to her papa instead, Padma pouted, then stomped forward, scooping the nut back into her hands. "C'mon, eat it - it's a good nut, they're my favorite. Hey!" She had knelt beside the little creature, but then it took off, flying away, and Padma once again stood, pouting and watching it disappear into the distance.
"Why didn't he eat it, Papa?" Padma asked, her voice a whine as she pocketed it, then rushed at her daddy, hugging him around the leg and hiding her face, grumpily, in his thigh. She didn't look up until she heard someone say her papa's name (or, what her mama called Papa at least), at which point Padma tilted her head to look, then glared, offended, at the sailscale. If he was too good for her nuts, then she was too good for the sailscale! So she began to stick her tongue out at the creature.
UQUIN Post 5 xxxxSupply Tents
Knowing the Telwren wasn't normally dangerous, Uquin allowed Padma to step a bit closer - but was relieved when the beast flew off. Padma's reaction, on the other hand, made the healer roll his eyes. As much as he loved his daughters, he still had some adjusting to do as far as learning patience with them. "Because sailscales eat meat, Padma. I'm sure Ishtu would love to eat with you though." He explained, petting the top of her head.
He'd expected that to be that, and so focused on trying to pry Padma off his leg - but then he heard a voice and he, too, looked up at Mella so that she was being stared at by two pairs of identical, bright green eyes. "Mella!" He greeted, surprised, his voice slightly breathless. He felt he shouldn't admit that he'd seen her, and not sought her out... so instead he decided to pretend he hadn't realized she was here.
"I thought you would stay in Sauti." He said, instead, offering a weak, somewhat lop-sided smile.

LUCIJAH Post 6
xxxxSleeping Tents
Stubborn thing. Lucijah stuck out her tongue at her lover, trying to give an air of playfulness to help her relax, then continued to hum, holding Nera's arm slightly up to look at her wrists more closely. They were worn ragged, and would need to be wrapped up. If she could leave Nera long enough to get the appropriate supplies, she could clean and wrap them ... but she didn't want to leave her Oban alone, not after seeing the state she was in. She was thinking on this when the sound of people talking fell through the tent, and even Lucijah looked up, listening.
To her, she found little wrong with the words - though she did look up to Nera, unsure how her lover would take the words. ...Apparently, not well. She stopped humming to let her love listen, then bristled, in turn, at Nera's words. Perhaps, deep down, Lucijah hadn't quite realized her lover believed all the expansion crap. It didn't change her feelings, but it did make her look up at her, uncertain for once in her life, pressing her lips together thoughtfully.
Ravage. Lucijah flinched, then closed her eyes and turned her head down. She wanted to contradict her lover - to ask if she really thought all of Lucijah's people were savages, if she would prefer Lucijah become her slave instead of her lover. But looking at Nera, it was clear that in her current state such disagreements would only add to the volatile reaction making her shake. It was stress her injured body could not endure - so Lucijah gripped her, tightly, moving to sit beside her on the cot, dragging Nera bodily into her lap and wrapping protective arms around her. "You're not well, Nera - you need to rest. And that is coming from me!" She cracked a hopeful grin, then shook her head, gripping her tighter. "He is an elder - he has to say what he must to get my people to fight. I am sure your leaders say similar things about us before battle too!"
Hijil felt her heart do a double-time beat as Bhima went to embrace the shorter alkidike: this must be Bhima's mother. Their markings were the same, their voices – too – were the same. She blinked at the offered hand, briefly at a loss for what to do.
What did one do when meeting someone's mother?
She decided to try to roll with it. She took the hand, gently, and bowed her head. ”Hello.” she said, trying not to look at Bhima for comfort. Inside, she roiled, memories and emotions blending together into one whole. She forced more words out as best she could – she at least owed that much to the woman who had brought Bhima into existence. ”I too wish that we could have met differently. Earlier. I have...” and this time she couldn't help a glance at Bhima, seeking her eyes, before returning to Chike. ”I have heard good things about you.”
Bhima had talked of her, both long ago and recently. Hijil released her hand and, with a little more confidence, looked the woman over. It was like meeting a character in a story, someone long thought about and debated and now, suddenly, real. “So... it is good to meet you...”

Duke Edward Drake
Ruelash – Ice Knight Supply Tent: Chilling with Iroia
Ruelash, pointedly ignoring the healing tent for now, looked at the big beast, not impressed.
What... he thought, Just one?
There had been a bunch of the beasts on the oban's side. He scoffed. What they needed was a nucnh of Mammu to stomp 'em and a pack of raptrix to tear them to shreds. He volunteered to be a raptrix.
Direk, housed in makeshift stables nearby, brayed at him and he grinned. ”Hey, 'roia. We've got her appoval.” She wasn't going on the scouting mission – her hooves got in the way of sneaking (though she could be quiet when she wanted to be.)
As for the fish-woman... She sure had a big sword, and she looked tough, and maybe he'd fight her later (because that would be fun), but for now she was just another boring warrior with some scaly monster thing and he was really looking forward to spilling more Oban blood.
Kaalnia – Alkidike Blade Outside to beast tents: Flirting with Naria
Kaaalnia watched Ruelash as he joined some leaf woman and wandered off. All right, so the guy wasn't doing anything sketchy, but she still didn't trust him as far as she could throw him, though she liked to think that was pretty far.
She turned her attention – briefly and without any particular care – to the elders, though she brightened as Yansa herself came out.
Of course, though, the big buff male spouted some lines about how they were better and such... Lines which Kaalnia lapped up like a starving radaku.
Damn straight, they were better fighters - they were awesome! The Earthlings were pretty great on their own, but with Alkidike warriors on the field? Even better. She grinned, cheering along with the crowd.
And then she saw a striking woman. Oh damn thought Kaalnia, her jaw dropping. She looks like a fish. And yet, somehow, so attractive. Damn...
Mood radically changed, she ran a hand through her hair and strode over, leaning playfully against the fence, trying to pose in such a way as to show off... everything. ”Well, hello there. Naria, was it?” she grinned flirtaciously, ”I've seen many a flower here in Jahuar, but you... you are the best of them all.” She tossed her head, letting her antennae settle where they would. ”So, where are you from?”
Ikkio – Shifter/Ice Prentice Around: With Aysun, Chandra, Takoda, & Korra and Fishwoman
Ikkio felt a surge of jealousy at the fish-woman. She was stroking that beast's chin so intimately, so fondly, and it was letting her. Ikkio wanted to, too. She turned, briefly, from the group to the fish woman. ”Can I pet him too?” she asked, smiling. Inside, though, no matter what the woman said, Ikkio disliked her. She rolled her eyes at the Alkidike that was flirting horribly with this 'Naria': How heavy-handed of her. Wasn't this one a friend of her father's? Mm. It didn't really matter.

Biroki – Shifter Sage Sleeping Tents: Making Tea, talking to Mella and Uquin
Biroki tried to listen to the whole speech but did not, personally, feel inspired. Better fighters? That sort of pride could get them all killed. He preferred to think about the things he could do, like torch a full grown male earthling to ashes. He knew that, even alone, he could take out Obans if they dared to face him. Better? Worse? He didn't need to know that.
Hearing familiar voices, and still needing time for his tea to steep, he made his way outside of the supply tents to see...
”Oh! Uquin!” he called, ”Mella!” he squeezed through the people trying to get to the armory, noticing Uquin's daughter there as well.
Padma... she's here too? Then again, who was he to judge about bringing children to a war camp? Ikkio was around here somewhere, after all...
The strong grasp coupled with the heavily muscled body pinning her against the soothing warmth made the next words the redhead would have shouted ebb into silence. Nera wasn’t angry at her lover but the way she coddled her made her temper flare, she loved the attention that Lucijah lavished upon her yet the way she was going about at that exact moment irritated her to no end. She didn’t need to rest, she was stronger than that, she was no mewling milk drinker that needed to be pampered back into health, she was perfectly able-bodied enough to continue on. It was the words though, the deeply pained words that snapped the prentice from the coal fire of anguish. ‘Her people,’ Nera thought, it was a reverie that seemed misplaced.
“You aren’t like them, they would have me beaten and disposed of. You’re different.” Twisting her chin towards her shoulder the petite Oban peered up into the bejeweled icy hues of the woman she had once found to be an enemy, pausing for a moment Nera heard the continuation of the shifter’s commentary and shook her head with defeat. Coiling onto her side the lean-figured desert dweller pinned herself against that of her white-haired protector seeking more affection and warmth. “You’re right. Our leaders say what they must to boost morale at times like this. My mother is one of the leading Generals of this war, even before the battles begun I heard nothing but military propaganda from her lips. I was raised thinking anyone outside of my homeland was lesser. But then I met you and I knew everything she had told me was a lie. I’m still a loyalist through upbringing but--- I think I might be a rebel by heart.” Peering up the girl with the sun-kissed, caramel complexion grinned broadly.

Naria appeared relieved at the generally accepting reaction, her features relaxing at the interest of the people. At the questions, she laughed and rubbed her hand against the beast's nose. "This is a Yaotl. We have another on the way, but we rode them here so the second one needs to rest for a bit first. As for... heading out..." Naria turned to Enlil and Antiope, deferring to their judgement on this front.
Just as the focus had turned back to Enlil, Naria turned to a few questioning people, eager to answer their questions. Only, to be flirted with was a surprise. She blinked, somewhat taken aback, but took the strange approach in stride, smiling at the woman. "I... you have my thanks? We are from Matori - it is to your south, down the mountains, past Oba. We had to ride these guys up the cliffs just to get here!" Then at the young prentice who came close, she shook her head, remaining friendly. "I wouldn't, dear - his saliva is acid, and I'm not sure what affect it would have on you all up here."
As Naria answered questions, Enlil addressed those who were heading out to battle. "Be sure you're really wanting to go - this is a dangerous mission. Our goal is to get a feel of the Oban camp, and offer what assistance we can... if our people are easy enough to remove, we'll do it. We may not make it back to the battle until it's already well under way, so if you'd prefer to fight the front you had best remain here." With this said, Enlil passed out weapons, then deferred to his brother, Enki, who was tugging on his gauntlets.
"You'll be following me, so lets head out!" Enki said, cracking a confident grin.

Bhima - post 6
She could feel the tension in the air. Hijil seemed nervous, and so she would be. For all the time that they had known each other, Bhima's mothers only existed in stories. For her mother, this was a mysterious woman who explained a lot of strange occurrences in her daughter's young life, and was a Shifter to boot. Bhima was grateful that neither of them entirely lost their cool.
"Well. We've found a couple of kinfa, and we were wondering if you could watch over them while we fight?"
"You're going into battle?" Chike asked, "Both of you?"
Bhima nodded. There had never been any question.

Pidgeons Go Meow X3
X I L A R NxA T T L E E Location: Camp Outskirts (with Kennet) Posts: 7
From where Xilarn stood at the edge of camp, half obscured by the shadows of Tale's large trees, he could just barely make out the sight of the leaders around their tents, could barely catch the whisper of their words on the wind, but the sound of the scouts as they moved out came clearer. They seemed so much less... distressed now, with an actual goal to accomplish. "They're really going..." Xil muttered softly.
He stared through the tents, gaze lingering on the blue woman with the dark markings as she petted her beast and spoke so casually with the other savages. He was only here for Kennet. Even so, it was inevitable that his hybrid companion would join them in the fray. It was him home, after all. And what would Xil do then? Stand in the back and watch? A lot of good that would do... "If... there's really nothing I can say... or do that would stop you from joining this fight, I think... I should probably..." He glanced away, lips tightening into a frown. "At least make my intentions known to them." So that if he did happen to be standing at Ken's side when fighting commenced, hopefully he could expect a few less attacks from these savages...
Though in the thick of combat, that probably wouldn't matter.
He tugged awkwardly at one of his dreads. "It... would probably be easier to convince them if you were there, so..." Shifting his gaze off to the side, he expectantly help his hand out for Kennet to take. Though it was seemingly a harmless gesture, he doubted any of his companion's friends would take that well to him holding hands with an Oban. As annoying as it was, he at least had to be ready to be refused.
XD Telwren exists if you wanna have your boyo head out scouting. Though if he wants to stay and play with both I don't mind ^.^

Do I get points for using hissy fit in reference to a sail scale?
Mella: Post 1/2 Location: supply tents.
Telwren hissed up his food giver really now the creature was just being silly. Standing there staring. Making the clawing motion for food repeatedly Telwren finally got tired of attempting and simply moved to her side and did a small bounce striking the bag that had some food in it. The food giver finally relented and gave him what he desired though her eyes never once looked at him. The movements were slow and annoying but at least he got the meat he was waiting for. Moving to face the small beast that clearly was not eating as it should he dropped the meat and stared at her. When another stranger moved close Telwren turned his head and hissed loudly at the newcomer. This food was for the pathetic underfed small food giver to be.
Mella was shocked to see him again. Smiling she could only say what in her heart on the matter. “To be honest I almost was but I remember how horrible it was the first time so I had to be here to do what I could. I thought you would be in Yera. It's good to see you again Uquin.” Though it did make more sense for him to be here than her after all Uquin was healer. His skills would be needed like for those on the scouting mission. Her heart sank thinking on it. A part of her wanted to suggest a healer heading along to make sure that anyone who was injured could have care given right away. Still the idea of Uquin there was enough to make her feel as much pain as when Telwren had accidentally put a few holes in her stomach. She gave a small wave to Biroki and followed his gaze to the child once more. She looked remarkably like Uquin. A small little flutter waved through her heart at the idea of Uquin having a family, but really who was she to begrudge him that? If anything she should cheer for him after all he was such a wonderful man any woman couldn’t help but love him. Giving the small girl a huge smile she decided to tackle the little menace that was Telwren. “Hello there. This is Telwren. I think maybe he might be sharing with you. If perhaps Biroki would back a up a bit he might stop throwing a hissy fit.”

Keilana - massif Location: With Jacinthus /Takoda Post: 4
Following her brother she couldn't help but feel antsy, sure they were volunteering for a special mission but she was still plagued but doubt and worries. Would her boys be okay? Where the heck was Chalcedony? And why did it seem that Jacinthus was hiding something from her? Growling lowly despite the air of excitement around her, the young mother of two couldn't help but give a suspicious glance towards the beast pen.
Alright...she knew where Aysun was at least. Somewhere near if not in the blasted pen with that creature. She didn't trust things she didn't know and she had never seen a beast quite like that one before. Her suspicious attitude wasn't quelled when the strange new woman appeared, with sparkling blue skin and amber colored eyes she felt a bit taken aback. Wait...what? A new race of people and they were to just blindly alley with them?
Her attention was diverted however when Jacinthus went on to explain where Chalcedony was. At first she was staring at him dumbly, as if he was pulling a prank on her and she just didn't get it. Then her body tensed and began to shake. White knuckled her hand gripped the hammer and it looked as if she was going to explode.
"HE DID WHAT????" Mount Keilana had erupted, all she saw was red she swore that if Chalcedony wasn't dead when she found him he was going to WISH he was. " I am going to kill him! What was he thinking? The boys still need a father! I nee..d.." She stopped herself as suddenly Takoda was coming up to meet with them.
Takoda - Soul Linker Location: With Jacinthus and Keilana Post: 4
The shifter was pushing his way through the crowd towards where he had spotted Jacinthus and Keilana though his pace slowed considerably as Antiope announced the presence of reinforcements and a new alliance. The Matori were ...a spell binding race. It was the first thing that crossed his mind as he took in the young woman who introduced herself next to the water beast. Being closer than Jacinthus or Keilana he couldn't help but note the ear fins, the fact her skin almost shimmered like scales and her long black hair was striking. Though perhaps the most entrancing were her eyes.. Feeling as if he was staring he shook his head and then pressed his way towards his mate and sister in law.
"Ah...I was hoping to find you both." He stated with a small sigh as he brought himself to be before them. Though his happiness was dimmed rather quickly as Keilana screamed at Jacinthus about Chal's decision. Ah...his heart sank, right Chalcedony did go through with that plan didn't he? Sighing he went to stand beside Jacinthus as if to help act as a buffer against his sister.
Jerarda : Warrior. Location: Moving towards Antiope with Rishima/Gerr/Voll post 4 Like a mother Radaku may Jerarda looked Rishima over a warm smile still on her lips as she appraised him. What was before...she saw once more. Recalling fond memories of when she had first found him, timid unable to leave home to this powerful young amazon... lifting a hand to lightly cuff his cheek with her hand she grinned.
"I am not surprised to see you have increased in rank my sister. I am sure the elders have placed great faith in you in protecting our great mother Aisha." She continued as she before she looked to Vollerei and had to give a laugh as she had set to teasing Gerraden, which had become her own favorite pass time. Her laughter though was brought up short as Antiope began to speak. Turning her body she kept herself close to Rishima, unwilling to part from his side when she had been so absent from it for so long. Gerraden could wait his turn.
With the announcement of the new tribe coming to help, Jerarda tilted her head looking at the woman. The strange eyes and interesting skin...it was something she shared with alkidikes, but she was...blue. Jerarda didn't mind so much the color of her skin but it felt almost a bit too much of a shock to be introducing new races of people during a war. She suppose they needed as much help as they possibly could get so she wasn't one to say anything. Actually she was the type to object, but she trusted her elders she was sure they wouldn't just join another race without getting to know them properly.
The call then went out for them to move out. Time for the scouts to do what they were assigned to do. "Alright ..looks like its time to move out." She managed with a grim smile.
Gerraden - Swordsman Location:Moving towards Antiope with Rishima/Gerr/Voll Post: 4
Somehow he was becoming part of some joke that he wasn't included in. Even though it was about him. Clingy one? Stalker? He supposed he should of been insulted about these comments being made about him, but Rishima stood up for him so he shrugged off the teasing as wished Jerarda would...step away from his loved one. Feeling like the odd man out (despite there being two women) he held back a bit trying to find a way to get to Rishima's side, but then it looked as if Vollerie was going to stay behind.
He supposed her comment about standing out was true, she was a very curvacious woman and stood out quite a bit. But he couldn't say that he was sad about her leaving. That meant it was one less person to compete for Rishima's affections. Though...seeing how Rishima seemed...gaga for Jerarda he...felt rather jealous. His thoughts were put on hold as a new tribe was brought into light. A woman with fins for ears and blue skin. Her eyes were...interesting. Amber in colored with strange pupils. But she was very neat looking. So it was the Matori that brought the beasts? He had wondered about their origin.
But it sounded as if it was time for them to move onto their scouting mission and he hoped this meant that Jera would have to move further away from Rishima.
