"I know, I should have i'm sorry." Kail murmured apologetically when Marlo ruffled his hair again. He looked up with a slight smile when the man called him Mr. Spitfire again before launching into a hug. "I missed you and I promise if you ever have to leave again I will call." Kail stated.

Kail looked up to Marlo when the man said that if he left again then he would be going with him. "Really? How?" Kail questioned. He had no money and he didn't think if his parents sent him off again Marlo would be able to take with him.

Kail laughed when Marlo said he would stuff him into his suitcase. "I would suffocate." Kail protested laughing. He felt more relaxed then he had for days, weeks and months even. Being around his best friend around again soothed all his nerves.

"Not if I gave you a oxygen tank and mask to use." Marlo chuckled warmly as he saw Kail begin to become his old self.

Kail laughed and smiled when Marlo said that he would give him an oxygen mask. "Silly." Kail stated laying his head on Marlo's thigh like he used to.

"yes." Kail hummed when Marlo made comments about being a pillow. "some things change." he argued but relaxed against Marlo as the man stroked his hair. Watching tv, being close to Marlo and having the man stroke his hair had Kail feeling sleepy quickly.

"What ever." He shook his head. He quietly watched Kail fall asleep on him, the pain killers were working and the boy, probably will get enough sleep tonight, maybe in the two months from the first time he meet Nick.

Kail fell asleep against Marlo pretty quickly. The mix of the pain killers, food in his stomach and feeling safe had him asleep and sleeping deeply. It was the first time he had slept so well in months. Further back than when he had met Pitch.

When Kail had fallen completely asleep, Marlo gingerly picked him after turning off the TV. He flicked the light off and went up stairs to the master suite. He placed him on the bed and went to go change himself. He slid in next to Kail and took him in his arms. Marlo wanted to hold Kail and he did so till he fell asleep.

Kail slept peacefully through the night quite comfortably when Marlo held him. When he woke up he was still in Marlo's arms and he couldn't help but smile. He felt more rested than he had in months even if his back ached. Snuggling into Marlo he breathed deeply reflecting on how much he had missed the man.

"I see that you are enjoying yourself, Kail." Marlo teased. "You thought that I was still asleep. Maybe I'll keep you in my arms forever." He hummed at the idea.

Kail gave a sharp yelp of surprise when Marlo spoke. The man was correct that he had thought that Marlo was still asleep and being caught caused the boy to flush in embarrassment. "I did," he admitted blushing more when the man said that perhaps he should keep him in his arms forever. 'I would like that' Kail thought.
