He followed wordlessly, still watching Orrin, and sat against a wall outside the door with a clear view. "I shouldn't have stabbed him. That only made things worse, and now I can't help him and take it out." The surgeon grumbled to himself. There couldn't be one time where didn't put others in danger or end up injuring people, could there?

"I'm sure it will be okay, you can help him once he wakes up." she said quietly, joining the doctor at the wall. She began to close the books around her, placing them in a stack again. All except the fairy tales. If she closed that one, the music box would disappear.

Sciurus just listened to the music box, keeping an eye on his sleeping friend. If anyone dared to do something stupid and page him for surgery right now, he'd probably go to the nurse's station just to kill them... Or say he was dead and impolitely point out that he wasn't the only surgeon here. "He might be hungry when he wakes up. He could have been hungry this whole time, though I have no idea what he likes to eat... Do you need anything, while we're at it? "

She shook her head, "I could grab the fish again from the biography...though cooking it could be tricky. Do you know if he'll eat raw fish?" she added the last question with a wry smile.

"I have no idea... I offered him limbs and he acted like I murdered his first born." Sciurus scratched his head tiredly, just another crazy day at the hospital. Something about her statement finally registered and the surgeon stared at her. "Biography? You mean you got that fish from a book??"

Instead of answering, she picked up the adventurer's novel. Flipping it open, a good portion of the way in, it began to glow softly. She turned the book so he could see what she was doing, and plunged her hand into the pages. The words made a ripple effect around her arm as she appeared to be digging in it for something. After a few seconds, she retracted her arm and a small blade came out with it.

"Here" she said as she tossed it to him, "The hero's dagger."

In the other room, the sleeping man was rolling about restlessly. Suddenly waking up from the sharp pain, after laying atop his wounded arm, he sat right up. Where was he again? Still hearing the music box outside, the memories came rolling back. And they were far from pleasant.

"Uwaaaahh...!"
The poor guy began crying again, pressing against his still bleeding wound. Sobbing, he stood up, attempting to get away from that horrible place. Still weak and exhausted, he wobbled about. Tumbling out the door, he flew straight into the wall outside, knocking the music box over as he went. "Hnngh..." He didn't notice the others sitting there, and simply stumbled right past them, moving through the hallway in a not so straight fashion.

Sciurus stared in awe as she worked with the book, never seeing anything like it. "Wow... You really- waa!" He caught the dagger, suddenly surprised. His reaction was nimble, but he winced as he cut himself by accident. "Ow." The doctor shook his hand as it started to itch, the cut healing itself before her eyes. "It's a dagger alright."
He looked up suddenly as the zombie became active and immediately rose to hurry after him. "Orrin, wait! You're hurt Orrin, and I'm sorry. Please let me see your arm."

Tripping over his own feet and repeatedly bouncing against the walls, the drowsy man could hardly stand up straight. As he heard Sciurus voice behind him, he turned around, trying to walk backwards. "D-d-do... d-doc... t-t...?", he stuttered.

Of course, this was a terrible idea, and even more terribly executed. The distraction caused him to fall over, landing again on his sore arm. "Ghgh!" Orrin winced, sitting back up while clutching the wound. He then looked back up at the Doctor, realising that he was headed towards him. "N-no...! D-d-don't... t-t-t-TOUCH ME!" His words turned into a desperate shout, while he was crawling further away and trying to get back up.

((Sorry, Witchling had to strike again XD))

"D-doctor, I don't think going after him is such a good idea!" she called after him, scrambling to her feet. She held back as she watched, frightened that anything could set the zombie off again.

"M-Mr. Orrin sir? Are you hungry? Do you like fish?" she asked the panicked man.

{Yay! }

Sciurus stopped, looking as upset as Orrin must have felt and raising his hands in the conceding gesture they were becoming used to. "I won't, not without your permission. But please, it needs to come out before you hurt yourself more or worse. It's my fault for stabbing you in the first place, I reacted very wrong, and I'm sorry, Orrin. At least just let me give you bandages and things for it."

It was all a bit too much for him, at that moment. Stabs, and fishes, and bandages, and Orrin... Oh wait, that was him. Tired, frightened and ever so confused, the green man huddled up by the wall. "N-n-n-no n-no...! I-I-I... a-am am fine...", he insisted, though it sure would not seem that way. "L-l-leave m-m... a-alo.. a..." He couldn't even speak properly, his brain not cooperating. "G-g-g-GO aw-a-AWAY!", he cried out, biting into the cloth that had once been a coat. Using the wall as support, he managed to get up on his feet again, somehow. But as he tried to walk away, his legs refused to carry him, and the guy simply fell back into the wall.

Sciurus sighed, his hands balling into stubborn fists at his sides. It was against his every instinct as a surgeon, every oath he'd ever taken, and better judgement, But he couldn't force someone to accept his help. The surgeon's voice was eerily quiet, his pink eyes studying the floor. "Alright, that's fine. Can't go making things even worse, and you don't want any help. I will return to my office then, I wish you better circumstances..." He turned and made his way wordlessly down the hall, not looking at Selinda, or anywhere but ahead. The surgeon entered his office, closing the door without a sound, but there was a crashing sound from within, followed by a door slamming shut.

Silenda sat down across the hall from Orrin, keeping an eye on him wordlessly. She could understand the Doctor's frustration, but maybe not completely, seeing as she was not in the medical profession. This was one of his friends apparently, and he was refusing help. That had to be tough on both of them. She let out a small sigh, reaching into her pocket for a miniature notebook and a pencil.

Sciurus wandered past a couch and coffee table, the door from his office having led to his living quarters. He ignored more doors, branching further into his house and lab areas, and headed for a different section. A neat wide opening had been made through the walls, sloping down like a natural earthy cave. This tunnel went underground to a small network of them, serving as the "garage" and living quarters of Voyager. From what the doctor remembered of them, there was plenty of room for someone to wander alone, without the risk of slaughtering anyone.

After a bit of walking, the van in question seemed to materialize next to him like magic. Heya Doc, nice seeing you down here... Where's your coat? "It got shredded, I'll make another one." the surgeon replied, keeping his tone as simple as possible. But his van knew him better than that. "What's wrong? You don't usually come down here, always complainin' about getting lost. But seems like right now, you wanna get lost." "I'm a moron. That's my problem. I shouldn't have hurt him. Orrin wasn't in his right senses and so what if he tried to chew on me?! I'm a goddamn starfish with overachieving stem cells on command! Let the poor b*****d have a decent meal! Anything would have probably grown back, given enough time., but no, instead I reacted too hastily... Wouldn't have been a problem in the first place if I hadn't sent him after that damn rabbit!" Sciurus punched a wall in frustration as Voyager listened.

"I'm not sure I remember them, but you can't be thinking like that Sciurus. Just because you heal really fast doesn't make you invincible. You can't really afford to get killed right now, and sometimes there's things you just do. What did you do anyway?" "My scalpel's sticking half into his arm, I underestimated him and when he pinned me against the wall, I stabbed him and stripped out of my coat." The surgeon was bitter as he recounted it. Sure, the coat was shredded, but that was hardly enough compensation for someone's arm. "He won't let me near him to fix it..." "He might just need a minute to himself, kinda like you're doing. And if he ain't in his right mind, he might be upset about trying to eat ya too. It's the zombie guy, right? From the bunny incident with everyone? I wouldn't worry about it Doc, Ya hurt him, but zombies don't go down that easy... Kinda like you. Give him a while, maybe he'll feel better. Maybe there's other stuff you dunno about too." Sciurus thought about this, not really believing it. "Perhaps... But I'm still a moron." "You're not perfect man, you come pretty close and try your best, but nobody is. Give it some time, hang around here maybe, then see how things are."
