Texas took a deep breath and shook his head. "No I'm not a sleeper agent," he told her as if he were exasperated with the question.

"Okay," replied Texas. He stood still as he watched her walk away and into her castle. He waited a moment longer before he turned away and began walking in the opposite direction. He walked until he had moved out of view range of the castle. A few moments later the flowers in Mirai's realm glowed a warning red again.

As Mirai approached where Texas was, she would still be out of sight but she would be able to feel another presence entering the realm. Texas was inviting them in. He reached out his hand and took someone else's through a small portal that had opened. He had a strange, distinctly disturbing smile on his face as he began to pull the other person through. Mirai would of course be able to recognize her.



Texas took her by the hand and pulled her through until she landed into the flowers, her boots crushing two of them underfoot. The portal disappeared but Texas didn't let go of her hand. "It's been a while," the girl told him with an equally disturbing smile. Her voice surprisingly sultry. She lifted her hat up slightly and ran her fingers through her hair before letting it back down on her head. "A year? Almost two?" "Too long. I thought you'd wake up quicker than that." "I did too. Not sure what happened but some girl and her friend broke into my mind and freed me." "On purpose?" "Nah." The girl gave a small laugh. "Well I've been watching you for a bit. I can fill you in a little if you want?" Texas shrugged. "Yeah. Where is this place and who's the chick I'm with?" The girl gave him a teasing smile. "Oh well, she's your girlfriend and this is her realm." "Ah." "She's a fragile little thing but she's strong. Innocent. So innocent. And so were you! It was hilarious actually." Texas rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Can we skip that part?" "We can come back to it later." "Sure. Whatever. She's the one I guess?" "She is."

Texas and the girl both turned towards Mirai as they felt her presence. Texas let go of her hand and the girl gave a small smile, leaning against him. "Oh. Hey," Texas said to Mirai, not seeming to be upset or surprised that she found them. The girl didn't either. "Oh, she was fighting her brother by the way. You made it sound like he was just some guy. I was sure she was gonna figure you out right there. But nope, she's the kind of girl who will blind herself over the guy she loves. Sweet but...hmp. Well, reality just caught up with her." Texas sighed and shrugged. "Whatever. She's kinda weird anyway. She was talking about killing herself or something on our way back to her castle. Loser. Are you sure she's the one?" The girl seemed to acknowledge Mirai for the first time. "Oh, don't do that sweetie! You'll ruin everything! Just hang in there a bit longer okay?" She purred, her voice dripping with mockery and sarcasm.

The girl grinned and leaned forward and slightly more against Texas. "Oh get a load of this! She wants us to leave her playhouse! But it's so well done! I love it! Did you think of the lighting up flowers yourself or did they just come to you?" The girl asked Mirai in a condescending tone. "Sorry, we can't leave here yet," Texas told her uncaringly. "I guess since you're the one I partnered with I have to kill you. That's how this all works. Got it?"

"Wrong with me? Nothing." He grinned when she asked him about his scar and reached down, lifting his shirt up slightly to show his chest. There was no scar. "What scar? And no, I don't remember. Maybe you haven't picked up on it yet but I wasn't quite myself. You know, the whole "sleeper" part of the sleeper cell? Tell me you at least picked up on that?" He looked over at the girl. "You're sure this is the one?" "Yes, yes I'm sure okay? Geez...the briefing didn't say they had to be smart. Just strong." She playfully slapped him on the shoulder. "And stop whining! It's the first time we've seen each other in like two years and all you can do is complain! Geez." Texas gave her a withering looking before turning back to Mirai. "Okay, whatever. Look, it doesn't matter anyway. You're still the target so you still need to go."

The girl grinned as Mirai's realm darkened. "Oh no. I think she's mad," she said with a giggle. Texas had a grin as well. "Yeah oh well," he replied simply. The two of them rushed forward simultaneously as Mirai began firing orbs. They had clearly fought together before. Texas focused on dodging the orbs, turning his arm into a sword as he spun and slashed through them. His wavelength was much, much stronger than before. He didn't have this kind of power when he was the Texas Mirai had known. But for every orb that Texas dodged, the girl dodged 2 more. Her movements were almost preternatural in dexterity and the orbs that did hit her seemed to do almost nothing but singe her clothing. "Oh honey, do go on," the girl taunted as she reached Mirai far ahead of Texas. As soon as she was within range she launched a truly devastating spin kick straight towards the side of Mirai's torso.

The explosion forced Texas back as he fought against it, receiving several burns and slashes across his torso. He quickly turned one of his arms into a flamethrower and shot a wave of explosive flames towards Mirai. He wasn't pulling his punches in the slightest. However, the girl was hardly thrown off by Mirai's attack. She ran towards the explosion and rolled through it as fast as possible before coming out the other side. Again she seemed remarkably undamaged. Texas's flames washed over her and she disappeared from sight before suddenly lunging out of the flames much closer to Mirai, already pulling back a punch that she aimed for the young witch's face.
