She was right about at least one thing. No, you really don't. No idea what is going on here, or what is at stake.
She knew Xander, a name that brought to mind the feel of starseeds cupped precious in his hand, of room after room of dwindling hope. It felt both horrible and remote- the grief housed deeper and deeper in layers. One of a number of stones to carry in his pocket.
He did not take the outstretched hand, "I will not leave my team while I can still help them. The mirror is yet unbroken."
He leapt from the rafters down again into the clouds and chaos.

Remarque massaged his neck; most of his aches were well on their way from waning, but he'd since lost sight of most of the Dark Mirror Senshi he'd intended to keep an eye on. He wasn't driven for battle, though was irked to see both so many faces he recognized and so many he didn't. Sawdust was still affecting his eyes and there was so much movement going on that he was having a hard time telling what was going on beyond just a vague, brief assessment.
A quick survey of the area told him that some were faring better than others—and then there was Avior. He looked for Canopus, though didn't immediately see her—and that concerned him. Especially when Avior was looking so battered. He had been oblivious to their run in with Zircon and Labyrinthite, but he suspected Avior was already greatly hurt and didn't want to see him get any more damaged. Pushing through the crowd, he called out the male's name and made his way to his side while he could still see him. He moved with him and said quickly, "—Tell me you're getting your a** to a hospital right now. You're done fighting. Where's Canopus? —I'm going to check on everyone, so if there was someone that looked bad, let me know so I can get them out of here."

[Enter CYBELE]
Chaos. Chaos everywhere. Technically Order, too, but there was nothing orderly about this battle. She'd felt the energy, like fireworks in her head, almost, the moment she'd powered up, and she'd rushed across town expecting another massacre. Instead it was just... this, this absolute chaos.
Cybele She recognized friends and enemies, people she wanted to protect and people she wanted to kill, and there were bodies, too, somewhere underneath the roar of magic and battle cries and auras. Her first instinct was to charge, to add her own fists and magic to the fray, but... there was something off about the whole thing.
Well, she knew who she was against, at least. She jogged into the chaos, looking for some Negaversers to kill.

Damn, Europa thought, as Leto vomited. I'm terrifying. The cat's arrival had been a right stroke of luck, distracting Leto right as she came out from under the magic's spell, leaving her and Wolframite a moment to get their act together. "I don't expect this alliance to last," she said, answering Leto's question to the cat. "But it'll hold long enough to take you out."
So what if a week from now she and Wolframite went back to trying to kill each other? At least they'd worked together for a higher purpose first.
With Leto immobilized like this and held down by Wolframite, it would have been easy to go for the throat and end this - but that would be too quick. Too easy. Leto deserved to suffer, for every moment before the end to be more unimaginably awful than the last. Whatever she'd seen in her hallucination, Europa hoped that something ten times worse was waiting for her in death. "Right!" she called to the general.
She had an opening, a good shot at one of Leto's hands. "I'll crush you," Europa promised, staring her down. She brought her heel down on Leto's fingers - hard. "Bit by bit, I'll break you apart."
About twenty minutes ago, a strange piece of paper appeared before him. It didn’t take long to realize who the sender was as he knew very few Jupiter knights, and even fewer who knew about himself and Ganymede’s relationship.
The note didn’t explain much, but Valhalla knew he needed to get there as soon as he could, unsure if he should be angry, horrified, or both. For now, he settled with near panic as he slipped into the fray, unsure of how to handle a situation like this. There were Chaos fighting Chaos and Order fighting Order… Shouts and screams and magic and weapons flying in every which direction. He hardly had time to pick out anyone he recognized before a familiar voice let out a yelp from above, and with barely any effort, Valhalla had in his arms the exact person he’d been seeking.
“What the hell are you doing?!” he breathed, hoarse with panic, his eyes wide as he stared at Ganymede and then up at the rafters where she’d just fallen from. He set her on her feet and looked her over for injuries, and when he found none, he eyes narrowed as fright gave way to anger. “What the hell are you doing??” he demanded again, lifting an arm to wave at the senshi and knights and negas all trying to kill each other. “Why didn’t you tell me about this?? And why the hell are you even involved??”
He was angry, and it didn’t help that his anger stemmed from the fear of what could have (what might still) happen to those he cared about. Had it not been for his brother’s note, he didn’t know if he’d ever have found out about this….
At least not until he was called into a morgue to identify bodies.

Ganymede's yelp was more of a shriek of rage mingled with barely contained fear as a hand thrust out and pushed her from her lofty perch. She scrambled to keep her balance and nearly reached out to grab onto Bischofite for purchase, but by the time she even got her hand around he was just out of reach. She tipped back, and back, and back, one of her high heels slipped over the edge, and then she was falling.
She had a few terrifying seconds to imagine herself dead on the floor in the middle of the battle—or worse, crippled beyond any hope of ever dancing again—before a pair of arms caught her before she could meet that terrible fate. The solid body she collided into jostled, but neither of them fell and she was saved from an awkward and potentially painful tangle of limbs.
She was not, however, fortunate enough to escape from a concerned and angered rant.
Ganymede winced as she was settled onto her feet, sparring one last glare up into the rafters before turning what she hoped was a winning smile onto Valhalla.
“Oh, I was just... you know... doing Senshi things,” she tried to explain, though she already knew none of her attempts were likely to salvage the situation. “You know that night of manicures and Robert Downey Jr. movies I told you I was having with Europa? Well, it turns out Europa is here, and as luck would have it my nails are actually still perfect. Thank god for gloves, right? It really is unfortunate that RDJ isn't here with us, but it's probably for the best, you know? Civilian casualties and all that. He'd be a terrible loss.
“I mean, I love you?” she concluded. “Let's not do this here, okay? It's not like I'm the only one. Like I said, Europa's here, and Kallichore, too, and your buddy Remarque, and your best kitty, and that creep Bischofite, and it's like one big ******** up party I already regret, so no guilt trips, please.”

"Owww..." Cora whined after Leto had tripped over her. It hadn't been the greatest pain but still, feet contacting her tiny body didn't feel nice. For a moment her mind in her own problems, stretching her feet and brushing her nose which itched, thanks to the sawdut that was floating around. But that all was forgotten when Leto started talking.
For a good while, she just stared at her, disbelieving her ears. She was the senshi who had saved her from certain death back then in Leopard's home? Cora had been wondering where she had disappeared and could she ever see her again. Now the answer was right in front of her eyes. She was on the side of Chaos, one of those parasites Zirconia had been talking about. And yet, she remembered her, she remembered saving her? And now, Cora was betraying her. She hadn't had faintest clue that the princess of the Dark Mirror Court could be the one who had saved her?
It felt awful. Cold shivers ran through the guardian cat's tiny body. It felt like her heart was sinking. She felt guilty, even though she hadn't known who Leto had been. She felt like she had to do something, but what could she do? She was chased by the Negaverse general and the eternal senshi. How could she interfere without getting herself killed? Her savior from back then was going to be killed and she could do nothing about it.
Tears started to form in her eyes. She wanted to help her, to redeem but how could she do that?
"I'm sorry!" Cora cried helplessly behind WP and Europa. "I'm sorry! I didn't know it was you!! I'm really sorry!"

One moment she was following behind Benitoite as he lead her through the fray towards the epicenter of the battles; the next, he was on the ground. Yanked forcefully from her momentary stupor, Acrucis let out an audible gasp out of concern for her general, “BENITOITE!”
From the back the Knight’s colors resembled that of Shangri-La’s uniform, a similarity that shook her to her core. Minus the red hair, she did not wish to see someone who brought to mind someone she had come to view as both a mentor, and caregiver let alone a friend. Chalk it up to either an act of bravery or severe stupidity, without much forethought she closed the distance between herself and the unmasked knight using what strength she could muster to shove him out of the way.
Out of instinct, and fear of being struck by the spear head, she crouched down brought her arms up to shield herself from in incoming attack. Blue eyes closed tighly shut, not daring to watch as the blade arched in its downward decent , “Benitoite… stop… We’re here to protect the Dark Mirror Senshi. You said the enemies were the ones wearing the masks…” She knew he was mad and rightfully so, who could blame him after being landed on like that.

It seemed as thought the moment that Leto stood up, she was being kicked back to the ground. When WP, even at his tiny stature, was able to over-power the Senshi of Camouflage in her moment of distraction and weakness, she began to writhe in his grip. She shrieked loudly and tried to wriggle free of his grasp but the General was clearly having none of it. She thought about calling her Eternal attack with hopes that the grasses and shaking ground would distract the two of them long enough for her to get free, but that thought was cut short as Europa stomped down on to her hand.
A scream erupted the moment the heel of Europa's boot crushed her fingers with a sickening crunch. Hot tears immediately sprung to her eyes and her breathing increased as the pain shot up her arm.
With a choked sob, Leto swung her one good arm back to elbow WP in the gut and she struggled against his hold. She refused to die here- not by some stranger's hand. Not in an ambush that she should've seen coming. With some concentrated effort, her crystal appeared clutched in her not-broken hand and in a flash of camouflage and bright light Leto was shifting into her Princess form. Enormous black wings erupted from her back and flared outwards, forcing WP away enough that she wrenched free of his grasp and scrambled to her now-bare feet. She clenched her crystal tightly in her hand.
"I am going to kill every last one of you."
She glanced down quickly at Cora and offered her as much of a smile as she could possibly muster up. "It's okay. We all make mistakes," she shot WP a glare. "I'll be fine," she added with a bit of a groan, not realizing just how much her chest actually hurt. "Just... Just make sure Senshi don't die, okay? Mine or yours." She may not have liked to admit it, but Ares' plans for the future of the Dark Mirror Court depended upon them bringing over as many Senshi as they possibly could, and dead Senshi were of no use to her.
Forced to remain still, Leto focused on her crystal in an attempt to channel her magic.
[Feel free to stop her from being able to focus so her attack doesn't actually happen wink She's p much all yours at this point to beat on/break limbs/make her bleed/etc etc!]

Buddingtonite had a feeling that he had walked in on something that was far bigger than himself, but it was already too late to back down. Once the gauntlet, aka his hat, was thrown and Natron's attention was drawn entirely on him, the window to get out of this predicament was very small and fragile. He had little intention on fighting this guy, especially when he held such a formidable weapon, so perhaps there was still a chance to at least talk him down. After all, it wasn't just Lellouch and himself he was protecting, as Turquoise continued to shadow him.
"I was. I've appeared to have lost him in the fray, though," Buddingtonite said with a smarmy smile, outwardly not bothered by the tone of his voice or how deadly that weapon was though inwardly he was considering his actions with care. "Look, I'll be honest with you- I'm only here because WP needed an extra set of hands and he accepted mine. Not sure what personal business the two of you may have, but it won't look good for either of you if you were to kill one another in this fight, especially when there are countless knights and White Moon senshi that you can take your aggression out on."
Hm, he liked the sound of his voice. The way he gesticulated his hands, however, was meant to catch the Corrupted senshi's attention, making a swirling motion and periodically cutting it at sharp angles. Like a triangle. A very big, pointy, triangle that was laying at her feet. Meanwhile, he stayed planted firmly in his spot, keeping as much attention drawn to himself and not to the lieutenant with the matching mask behind him. He told her to keep low, but perhaps she could give those chakrams a throw or two... should it be necessary.
"Please, I'm only thinking about your respected careers here in the Negaverse. You're both two promising officers and it'd be a real shame if you allowed something as small as the eradication of our former allies ruin that for you. Right?"

It was chaos. Utter chaos. Was this the war that she'd heard rumors of? Was this what actually went down at night? She didn't understand who was friend or foe, just that it was a bloodbath.
And she'd seen someone pull something from someone's chest and hold it to her in their pride.
Andronicus pushed herself through the crowd, trying to follow the line of the rafters to point her to a wall. She was spun around a few times and suddenly the rafter she was staring at looked a lot like the other ones. The Page spun around a few more times. She was lost. Shitshitshitshit not good.
She coughed, her clothes and hair caked in sawdust that filled the air and the floor.
Sawdust...?
... They couldn't be planning on setting the place on fire would they?
Panic flared in her chest and Andronicus started to seriously regret her decision to come find out what was going on.
Anyone!
She's running around incredibly lost. Feel free to prey on this if you want to. <3

"You don't know what's going on, and you were a hostage? Bloody brilliant..." With a huff, the demon continued to drag her newfound charge through the throngs of activity. Fights upon fights as far as the eye could see... Frozen for a moment, she stood on the tips of her toes to use her height to her advantage. Even so, over six feet in height offered little more than a view of various hairstyles and ridiculous helmets among the madness. Was this what hell was like? Limitless rancor as far as the eye could see? Infighting over nothing?
"We can't stick around in this mess; we'll get targeted and killed in five seconds flat..." Mostly she muttered to herself, but she spoke loud enough for her impromptu partner to pick up on her musings. Finally deciding on a clear cut through the chaos, Astarte bolted through the temporary break in an attempt to clear the exit.
However, her rash decision led her to headbutt a general straight beneath the croof of his arm. Initially it stunned her from impact alone, and she stumbled slightly, but caught herself before she hit the floor. The collision caused her to lose her grip on the blonde senshi, who she hoped had the good sense to depart from the scene of two terribly foreboding energy signatures practically choking her to death with presence alone. Straightening up, she stared dumbly at the red-headed, rose-laden general whom she accidentally assaulted before she began spacing herself from the scene. What lot of good your little stunt did, Astarte. What next? Going to threaten him now?
Actually, that sounded a better idea than cowering in a fear she never truly manifested."My fault," she offered, still trying to swallow the utter shock of the situation. It was like she dove through a dream, an enemy at her back while she faced two down that struck at each other. Nothing made since and she long stopped trying to make something of it. "Now, carry on - I've got better things to do than tangle with the likes of you." If nothing else, she possessed magics strong enough to obliterate some of the monstrosities crawling the streets. What might it do to a man?

Even as she placed herself before him, anchored herself in a paltry show of convictions only mimicked, paltry facsimiles of the blonde now left behind, he never ceased in his deliberate steps from the scene. She stood with what she recognized as drive, as dedication, as all blind children did when watching shadows cast across the wall. She knew what she could not know. She cast the word enlightenment in her tawdry, bombastic speech, hoping for answers echoing up from the pond to which she spoke.
But what loomed beyond its depths was not for her to see. To feel. to taste.
To touch.
His visage dissipated just before contact arrived, just as his skin tensed in preemptive acknowledgement of a brush. At his back flared a host of wiry, ginger hair, his opponent's brazen gaze now regarding nothing more than his prior position. Maybe she looked to Thraen, as she should. Maybe she simply gawked at the cacophony surrounding the pair, scanning for sights and sounds she might echo in the future.
"I knew ze answer before I asked," he offered without casting a glance over his shoulder. His steps felt sure against the dusted floor. Slowly his cape swept across its surface, feathers stirring sawdust as he widened the distance between the two. "But prying for answers won't render you awakened. So sleep, child - keep dreaming of a world where you might match conviction wis' your own ineffectual replica. You're no more zan ze broken dolls we put to sword and stake tonight."
He kept walking. And surely enough, the page who once assailed Thraen crossed his sights.
He smiled. Oh, this will be fun.

Behind her tears the guardian cat watched the scene, the unfair fight before her. How could Leto survive from this? She wasn't sure but when the dark mirror princess addressed her, she believed her words. "Okay," she answered to her, nodding once. 'Please, stay alive,' she said, without making any sound before she turned on her heels and ran away from the scene. She was useless here but maybe somewhere else she could be needed.

Like a silent guard dog she loomed behind Buddingtonite, silently watching the situation they were in as well being aware of the surroundings as much she could. The atmosphere was getting more tense. Instinctively she shifted the position of her hands on those chakrams, attempting to get better grip of them.

She stepped around someone and did a sweep of openings. Nope, nope nope, ah ha there---- Oh s**t. She stared at the general from before and considered her options.
A. She could attempt to defend herself from him.
B. She could run and use herself as bait so someone else didn't feel his wrath (because why just focus on your own safety when you could focus on others?).
B sounded a lot better at the moment. Or at least, a lot less death defying. It was... mostly doing what Acubens had said, right? Right?
Her gaze hardened and she turned on her heel to continue through the crowd. Let's see how long she lasted before he caught up, shall we?

Slighted like a child again. Bischofite always did this, this was his game. He wound her up and then pushed her down. Why? What was the purpose? Her eyes flitted about the space where Bischofite used to stand, hair rising in her scalp as he reappeared just behind her. Close enough to lean back against. He hadn't even bothered to walk around her. She just went through her like she was a specter. She twisted her head hard to watch him retreat into the crowd.
Why was she so easy to read? Her defiance had felt so good too. She'd been so proud of herself for that moment and then... Bischofite called her on a bluff she didn't even know she was making. Defiance left her feeling deflated until her temper flared hot and wild, narrowing her vision to only his retreating back. She turned to face him fully.
"Velociraptor Agility."
It was a quiet call to her star that maybe only she heard. She took off faster than she remembered she did, nearly knocking the wind out of her as she rocketed towards Bischofite.
