"Xavier? Xavier!" Minty screamed, dropping the lantern. Already she was running towards him, scooping up a pillow along the way. When she made it over, she took a swing at Cae with the pillow, putting all her rage and fear into one swing. Wrecking balls were probably swung with less force.

Finally the key popped in and turned as the swarm started. Voyager's engine started with a roar and Sciurus slammed it into drive. "GO!" Voyager floored it, pushing through grunnies and running over several, a very bumpy ride. Survivors were in pursuit, foaming at the mouth. Despite the highbeams, it was hard to see where they were going, and Voyager smashed through a few walls of the place, zooming past some of the others on the way. "Wait, there were people?!" "I dunno, but ain't no way in hell I'm turning around!" "We must go back! They could need help!" "Are you nuts?!? There's hundreds of these things! What d'you expect to do??" "Have the side door ready, we'll pick up as many as we can!" He couldn't just leave them behind; the doctor had taken an oath to keep people alive. "Oh, for the love of.. You're gonna get eaten, and I'm gonna end up a nest!" Voyager grumbled as he swung around.

Typical. He said one thing and Minty did the opposite. He could feel his blood pulsing out of his body, the loss of blood seemed to be accelerating the transformation... he could already feel his mind going fuzzy, his vision was blurring and he was losing control of his basic functions it felt. "I said... don't come..." He said, was he slurring his words? Prince couldn't tell at this point.

"You did." Minty sunk to her knees beside him, cradling his head. Tears were glittering in her eyes, she blinked fiercely trying to hold them back. She fussed with his hair, fixing where the fight with Cae had mussed it.
"But, well. You know." She smiled down at him, she certainly wasn't going to say it in front of all these people. She'd made enough of a scene already.

There was something he was supposed to say. Something he was meant to be telling her? But... he couldn't quite grasp it, all his thoughts were fleeting, partially completed and eluding him. "I know..." He said and inhaled as much as he could without causing a sharp pain to shoot all over his body thanks to the shoulder wound. It was nice to have just one moment of bliss...
"Okay... you. Go away... now." He warned and jerked his head out of her grasp, shuffling away slightly and slowly pulling himself to a standing position. "I'm going to... " Where was he going? What was he going to do? It was gone, he couldn't remember. There was something he was meant to say. What was it? "Bye..."
He slowly started to stumble away, still holding onto his shoulder and leaning against the wall for support. The royal had to be alone for this, this was something nobody would want to see.
(( Running off for the night, Prince can be a grombie tomorrow. ))

A loud horn went off repeatedly as Voyager neared the people. "HEY, ALL O' YA'S, OVER HERE!" And Scuirus, well, Dr. psychopath was living up to his reputation; hanging out from the open side door as they traveled. He swiped at the killer bunnies the best he could, reaching out for anyone in rescuing distance. "Get in! Hurry! Minty!"

"Right." Minty sniffed, digging the heel of her hands into her eyes after watching Prince run off into the darkness. She stood up and dusted off, all business.
Walking back to the group, she stooped and picked up the lantern where she had dropped it.
"First, I'm going to get you all some where safe. Then I'm going to find a cure." She looked like she was ready to will a cure into being through sheer tenacity. Loud honking interrupted them, as the doctor came careening at them in a van.
"Doctor! I don't think I've ever been so glad to see you. I'm not even going to ask how you got the van in here." Minty said, surprised. She handed the crying Evangeline into the vehicle, "Do you know where I can get these people to safety?"

Charming started, reaching for Voltari to help her into the van,
"I can tell you've resolved to do something no doubt incredibly stupid but before you run off to play at being a big damn hero, I'd like to remind you, you are not alone."

"I was hanging out in the garage actually..." Voyager muttered, antsy on the look out for bunnies. Sciurus looked Evangeline over and set her on the mattress, turning back to get Voltari. "I... Actually I was hoping one of you would know. Is anyone left?" He glanced between Minty and Charming "Where might one hide in this labyrinth?" "Well I'm a rolling fort. While you guys figure stuff out, let's just get away from those things." The surgeon glanced around, a look of alarm crossing his face upon seeing Caedere. "Wha- Caedere?! Are you alright?!"

"I don't know if anyone is left, I want to check the threads, I think between you and maybe Arron, you can find a cure. But we'd have to find Arron. I know that Cae's basement and the Chitter Chatter threads are no go." Minty nodded towards the doctor, before turning a glare on Charming, "I know I'm not alone, but you think I want to see anyone else turn into a grombie? No. You should get to safety so I don't have to worry while I go off to play 'big damn hero.'"

Charming shrunk a little under Minty's glare,
"Do you think we want to see you turn either? You're being selfish."

Cae just growled while trying to get back on her feet. She didn't understand a damn word he said, but did think the doctor looked mighty tasty.

"Yeah Doc, you could do it. Hell, just like you made yourself almost indestructible." "I'm sure the young man will be thrilled. And I'm not indestructible Voyager, just highly regenerative." Damn, there were a lot of threads to sift through to find anyone, plus they would need supplies soon. He stared at his murderess friend; she didn't seem quite right. "Virus? Like zombies?" Sciurus turned and stared at Minty, eyes narrowed at the last part. "? Go off where? Are you crazy? You're not going alone, wherever it is!"

"Alone? Selfish?" Minty seethed, impatient that this was taking so long, upset that Xavier had just run off to turn, afraid of what would happen if they didn't find a cure. She swallowed. Hard. Fighting to keep everything down, for at least just a little longer.
"I know." She said simply, "I know, but I just lost everything. And I am trying my hardest not to just punch things. I know you want to help, but I have to be alone. I need to be alone. I can't do that until I know you're all safe."

"Doctor! Watch out!"
Cae was lumbering towards the group, her glazed eyes focused on the doctor in a hungry way. Charming made a flicking motion with his fingers and a burst of wind surged toward the murderess. Hopefully that would keep the grombie busy long enough that they could make their get away. No time to be polite Charming shoved Voltari into the van and lifted Minty up and jumped in after her.
"Not that you don't bring up some good points, Minty, but I think it's time to get this show on the road. If we're looking for Arron, maybe we should try his workshop. You know the way, I trust, doctor?"
