Tiberius had listen to every bit of detail his father had shared about his work for the Lady Jessierys. 'So she treated the rest of them like soldiers while Annabelle got special treatment,' he thought. But as noble his parents may make his aunt and uncle sound were Annabelle and Alec really that loyal? But they would have to be or they wouldn't have done what they done for them all. Right? 'Is that right?' he asked himself. Then his mother mention about them all having their own demons.

Now that it was night Tiberius turn away from his parents and started walking to their bedroom balcony. "I'm going after Chloe. See you later," he spoke still sounding harshly. "Hope you get well soon mother," he said. Tiberius then jumped off the balcony and landed on the ground following his sister's trail.

Catherine sighed before drifting into sleep. She must rest from almost nearly burning by the sun's light. In her dreams she dreamt of Lyemar and the wicked queen.

Catherine stood beside her brother Alec while her little sister Annabelle stood beside Jessiery's throne. There the evil queen sat with pride and beauty. Beloved by all or feared. Jessierys always kept Annabelle by her side like a little pet but standing on the other side of Jessierys's throne was Baron Damien. She had expected to see General Claudius standing there but it was the Baron instead. It was odd. "Where is Maximus?" she thought to herself. He and her children seem to be missing from this picture. Why? Then her questions were answered when she notice a figure knealing before the queen with a chain wrapped around his neck. His body was handsomely built. And another dark figure loomed over the body but she couldn't tell the gender. "What's going on?" she thought. She didn't remember an execution was to be held. Then realization came to her when the figures were revealed and the body knealing on his knees was her husband Maximus. Catherine's eyes widen in shock. And the figure hold his chains and looming over her husband was Claudius. She growled.

"No!" she shouted. "Release him!" she pleaded. Catherine ran out into the open space of the palace throne room. But before she reach Maximus someone held her by her right arm and she looked to see Tiberius. Her son. He shakes his head. "Tiberius! Release me!" she ordered. Then shot a glare at Jessierys. Jessierys just laughed with anger in her eyes. Then with the witch's order Claudius injected silver into her Maximus's neck. "No!" screeched Catherine.

Catherine struggled in her son's grasp to reach her husband. Her eyes glowed red with rage and her bared her fangs. "Maximus!" she shouted his name. And in that very rage Catherine threw her son off of her. That's when her brother Alec sprinted at her in attack mode, Catherine hissed and threw orbs of water at him. Then came Annabelle and they fought. Throwing fire and water at each other. Somehow Annabelle over powered Catherine and pinned her to the ground. "Annabelle! Let me go! Don't you see what-!" Catherine stopped when she the laughter of her own daughter. But it sounded amused. Catherine looked around and until her eyes rested on a little girl that sat on Jessierys's lap giggling at the display before her. "Chloe!" she gasped.

"She's mine now," Jessierys grinned and wrapped an arm around her daughter.

Catherine then gasped awake in her bed shouting, "Jessierys!" Her eyes glowing a deep red and bared her fangs.

Maximus sighed as his son left their quarters. His children were going to need time to let the news sink in. He couldn't imagine what his children were thinking, well he sort of could imagine. His father was a monster and it was all because of Jessierys. They blamed their Aunt and Uncle for his situation too. He couldn't blame his children either, their Aunt and Uncle stayed in Lyemar to be with Jessierys but also to keep her away from them. He sighed softly and looked down at his wife. She was now asleep which was a good thing. She needed her rest after being exposed to the sun the way she was. He sat there on the bed next Catherine as she rested, he didn't want to leave her side until she was well again.

It seemed like hours had passed, he had not fallen asleep though. He laid there in silence listening to his wife breath and move in her sleep. Maximus got out of the bed slowly, making sure not to wake her and went to the balcony to look out. The cool breeze blew through the bedroom, cooling his mind. "Jessierys!" Maximus turned to look at Catherine, her eyes glowing a deep red and he fangs bared. He quickly went to her side and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Catherine! It's okay. Jessierys is not here, you're safe..." he placed a gentle hand on her cheek to help calm her. "Look into my eyes, breath...." he said softly.

"Why not give being a test subject a try. After all, curiosity killed the cat. Its a good thing I happen to be immortal." She bared her teeth, uncaring about the scared servants. She was used to having servants fear her. Being feared was more comfortable to her than other emotions. At least when they were afraid she knew she would be able to control the situation. It was as familiar to her as the moon, and stars. "So Aisu, what does this entail?" She questioned, as she waved one of the servants over to him to feed off of. "Please don't worry about your manners. Talking with your mouth open is not my concern." She teased.

Aisu knew that the servants were scared indeed he knows that he is often referred to as the snake of Baelin but he dose not mind indeed he enjoys the effect he has. "Not much just being the subject to my experiments a little taste here a little taste there basically you will be part of something that would make the toughest vampire cry" he said. When a servant offered him his arm he took the arm and biting into it delicately he felt refresh as the warmth flowed over his tongue. He gently released the servant's arm "that was nice now shall we head to my lab for some test" he asked. He held the door open for her "Lady's first" he said.

Maximus got out of the bed slowly, making sure not to wake her and went to the balcony to look out. The cool breeze blew through the bedroom, cooling his mind. "Jessierys!" Jessierys is not here, you're safe..." he placed a gentle hand on her cheek to help calm her. "Look into my eyes, breath...." he said softly.

Who ever said that a vampire could not feel were wrong? They aren't as soulless as everyone is made to believe. If they didn't have a soul then, how could they feel? So, is it possible that their hearts still beat? If their heart still beats then, does their heart beat just as a human's heart?

When Maximus came towards Catherine to comfort his wife in her raging wake she nearly would have jumped him in a deadly pounce. If it were not for his voice, "Catherine! It's okay. Jessierys is not here, you're safe..." At first she saw him as a threat, a black silhouette figure coming towards her surrounded in red light with white glowing eyes. Her thoughts were, "No! They're here. Jessierys Spys!" When Maximus put out his hands to touch her hands quickly grabbed his wrists and growled but his voice brought her back to a sensible enough mind. Tears formed at the corner of her eyes as her eyes ceased their red hue and clearly did she see him her love. Her husband, Maximus. "Look into my eyes, breathe...," he told her softly.

His hand was so gentle as Maximus touched her cheek after she released had release his wrists. "A dream... it was all a dream...," she thought. Maximus was alive thank goodness. Catherine met his eyes and she breathe slowly, gently now. "Oh, Maximus!" she gasps at last and buried her tear stain face into his chest as she threw herself into his arms. "You're alive... you're alive... Oh thank goodness. It all felt so real...," she sobbed. Whenever Catherine was with her husband was the only time she felt truly safe and could only let her guard down around him even if he were a Reaper Vampire. Even knowing that she knew that he would always protect her. Sure, Catherine isn't a helpless vampire woman who always needed protection and knew that she was a warrior at heart. After all, she raised two children among blood thirsty vampires and always kept on her guard to make sure no one took advantage of her again but, it was with Maximus that she showed her true self. Even if he wasn't being completely honest with her.

"How much more must Jessierys torture us? We may have escaped but I still feel her grasp on me," she said. Catherine knew or so she believe that even if Jessierys was to perish that she would still haunt them and haunt whom she sired. After all, they are her sin. Catherine just thanked god or any sacred heavenly being that Jessierys had not sired Tiberius and Chloe. And so, her children with Maximus would never feel the full guilt of leaving Jessierys but, the guilt for leaving their aunt and uncle behind.

Lyssa stepped through the door, much like a Queen would, not even bothering to look back. She waited for Aisu without turning around. She was incredibly curious as to what this would include. Lyssa didn't cry. She had centuries of torture that she had left behind her. It took much to get an emotional response, and only one vampire in the entire world was ever able to get it out of her. Not that anyone needed to know that. In fact no one did know her past or where she came from.

There were stories in history of a powerful mage who was turned. But that was the extent of it. She happily buried the rest of her history. Mercilessly killing anyone who dared to try and learn more. Once a human historian had sought her out. She snapped his neck when he arrogantly scoffed at her, stating that he was going to find the truth as to why she killed the entire royal family. She was too disgusted to drink from him, and so she left him there and let everyone assume it had been one of Jessierys' followers that had committed the murder.

Not even the lords, and rules of Baelin knew her story. Thankfully Jessierys' had kept her a hidden pet, only using her magic when it was needed. Lyssa had often been cloaked in the darkness during these moments. She did not speak, and no one who would survive was allowed to see her face. It was a lonely existence. But Jessierys had made her believe it was for her safety, that she was the only child, her daughter. Lyssa was told again and again that she only needed Jessierys' love.

Catherine was completely freaked out, her eyes red, teethed bared. He felt sorrow for his wife, they were still connected to Jessierys even though they lived in a different land. It was torture for his wife. Even though his children weren't cursed by her they still feel the torture because of their parents. His wife doesn't seem to be calming down. "Catherine..." he whispered.

Finally, she calmed herself. She was still terrified, but relief struck her eyes when she snapped out of her trance. "Oh, Maximus!" she gasped and buried her face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around Catherine to comfort her. "What is wrong my darling?" Tears ran down her face. "You're alive...you're alive...Oh thank goodness. It all felt so real...," Catherine sobbed and Maximus smiled at her. "Of course I'm alive, why would you think that I wasn't?" he asked as he held her close. Maximus scooted himself on the bed more and laid with his back against the head board. He pulled his wife close, his arm draped over her shoulders. "How much more must Jessierys torture us? We may have escaped but I still feel her grasp on me."

Maximus sighed at her words. "I know, Catherine. I feel it too, especially when I feed. I feel her pull, it's like she standing there. Telling me to rip the human apart... It haunts me, deeply. That is why I like when you are there. You counteract her pull. You keep my sane, you keep my from my worst." He smiled down at her and kissed her forehead.

Aisu remained silent as he closed the door and followed Lyssa. "I thank you for deciding to agree to this it is not often another vampire helps me in my work since as you must already know I am very hard to trust" he said as they walked. After turning down a few corridors he opened a door "well here we are my home and workshop" he said. As you look you can see it is full of books, plants a space were he sleeps, another door between the two areas and at the other end a table full of assorted tubes and beakers making it look like a chemistry set. "Well you ready" he asked as he kept the door opened for her.

Opening her eyes to look at her love, Eona opened her mouth in order to speak about what she wanted to keep quiet but knew that Angel would do anything to get what she wanted to bottle up, out of her. "I'm just nervous a bit about if we will have those fights like what we had last night." The blonde vampyre didn't want their relationship to right off the bat to start on a fight or an arugement. Glancing at the her hand that Angel held, Eona could feel her cheeks heat up a bit but no color was revealed on her pale face. Slowly the vampyre Princess places her other hand that wasn't in Angels own hand on his cheek and used her thumb to gently rub against his cheek.

"Last night was a little stressful for me, yes, but I do not consider that a fight. I just need to be more careful now that we are a couple. I need to keep myself fed more often," he explained. He draped his arm over her shoulder and pulled her close. "Do not fear, a fight would never end us." He kissed her temple, "Now, what plans do you have for today?" he asked as he looked down at her.

"I had the most terrible dream," she told her husband. Catherine wondered how long she slept. "I dreamt that we were back in Lyemar and...," she pause. She wanted to share with Maximus what she dreamt of, what she saw but it was too frightening to think of. "We were in the throne room and... you were chained by Claudius and knelt before Jessierys. Claudius injected a silver liquid into your veins and as I try to stop him but our son stopped me making me watch you die. Then I was attacked by Alec and Annabelle. We fought till I heard our daughter's laughter and spotted her sitting on Jesseirys's lap in the form of a little girl with Baron Damien standing at her side..." Catherine shared with Maximus. As frightening the dream was it was also puzzling. Why did it feel so weird. She use to have nightmares about being rapped or her children being harmed but now they have changed.

Catherine looked up to Maximus when he spoke. She smiled when he kissed her forehead. "And you are what also keeps me sane," she said. Catherine kissed her husband on the lips.

Listening to what Angel had to say about the conversation they had last night, the princess couldn't help but relax a bit when he said he didn't consider it a fight as well as when he kissed her temple telling her that a fight would never end the two of them. As her body was pulled closer to that of her lover, Eona thought about what she was suppose to do today with her mother. "I'm not doing that much, just meeting with mother and Lyssa about the necklace mother gave me and hopefully have the ceremony that my mother had when she was younger and was given the necklace." She said before moving her hand that was Angel's cheek down to her lap. The princess then began to wonder how the ceremony would go, since her mother hadn't really explained what was going to happen during it.

"Perhaps," she walked along through the room, eying each beaker, and every chemical with open curiosity. "However, I would like an ingredient return." With a wicked grin, she snapped her fingers, created a comfortable chair for her to sit in. Slouching down, she began to pick at her nails with mock interest. "I'm working on a spell myself, and I need a moment of regret to add to it. So if I help you with your... experiment. You are going to give me a vial of your blood, I will take the vial while you meditate on a memory. One that fills your entire soul with deep regret. Do we have a deal?" She asked, holding out her hand as a gesture.

If Aisu was bothered by that it was hard to tell since is silted eyes and wide mocking smile remained. "So I am not the only one that likes to experiment this is interesting. Lyssa this looks like the start of a beautiful friendship but before I give you my blood explain what the spell is for. I like to know since it is only fair due to you finding out about my experiment" he said taking the hand and shaking it. "But no blood till after the experiment" he added.

Lyssa glared at him, standing up, and giving him a nasty sneer. "Its a protection spell, and thats all you need to know." She snarled angrily. It was a protection spell, but it was also more than that. It was her fiftieth attempt to break the blood bond. No one knew she was bonded to anyone, let alone her connection to the most hated woman in the lands. "Just get it over with." She challenged Aisu, her mood had shifted suddenly, and she no longer felt at ease.

Aisu's expression remained the same "very well lets begin he said as he reached for a beaker filled with bubbling pink liquid and pouring it into another beaker full of black liquid turning it a purple color. Reaching into a hidden pocket he pulled out a small shard of crystal and put just a drop on the sharp point making it glow. "Now if this works it will be a big surprise for the target now don't move" he said as he priced her skin with the glowing end. "Good now lest see on a human this would shut down their system for a week if my calculations are right any vampires should only be out for a hour of course the stronger the vampire the longer it takes to become effective so lest wait a few hours with the small amount I gave you your entire arm should be unable to move. But don't worry my friend I have the cure ready" he said as he pulled out of his draw a vile of his blood and placed it on the table for her.

Seeing Eona relax made Angel smile, he was happy that she didn't see that as an end to them. He loved her too much to let something like that end what he has been longing for, her. "I'm not doing that much, just meeting with mother and Lyssa about the necklace mother gave me and hopefully have the ceremony that my mother had when she was younger and was given the necklace." Angel wrapped his arm over Eona's shoulder and pulled her close. "Ah, that sounds like it will be lovely. It is a tradition for the women in your family. It is a great honor from my understanding." He smiled, feeling a cramp in his wing, Angel stood up. He stretched out his wings, they blew in the light breeze. A small popping noise came from a joint in his wing, he sighed with relief. "My apologies, I must have slept wrong last night, do not fear, it is better now." he chuckled.

Angel lifted into the sky and soared off for a second, he found the garden and looked for a rose. As he flew low to the ground, he found the perfect rose. He landed upon the ground, gently. Then picked the small delicate flower, pulling out his dagger he shaved the thorns off. "Perfect." he smiled. Then darted up to the sky again and found Eona, still sitting on the bench. He stretched his arm to her and said "For you," revealing the rose to her. He sat back down next to her and kissed her cheek gently.
