Now he was back at the Up Anyhwere sign, a very good place to be. He now had put the signs to order in his head (Here, There, Up Anywhere), meaning he hoped he had a better sense of direction.
Only time could tell that, though.

Striding firmly past the 'there' sign, ignoring the actual direction it pointed, she eventually arrived at the third sign. Up anywhere? Glancing up into the sky, she rotated slowly on the spot. Were they supposed to jump?

Though luckily, this time, he hadn't ended up at the same place again, or at the beginning, but the sign really wasn't any help at all. "Up there?" Up WHERE? He really didn't know what to make of this nonsense.
Since it was rather illogical to try going "up", he decided to try wandering once more, only to end up right back where he was. DAMN IT.

She turned a little and scuffed her shoe into the mud, marking her direction for future reference before setting off.

Progress through the canopy was slow going, but SCIENCE managed to find a way by running across branches and leaping over gaps.
Until one branch broke underneath her, sending her falling and landing with a 'WHUMPH'.
THERE, the sign said. SCIENCE blinked at it. How had she ended up back here?
She got up, reset her hat, and followed the sign again.

After doing a few surreptitious hops, sweetmoon sighed and continued on. Riiight back to the start. Big frown. She curled her hands into fists, and walked quickly past the first sign, refusing to make eye contact.
