Lynora smiled, glad he wasn't bothered that she stepped on his foot, at least she was light weight. She resumed the waltz position once again and continued to dance with the Prince. "No it's alright. I don't mind them staring. I'm just glad I'm with someone else here. If I was all alone it would be different." she said with a small laugh, trying her hardest to ignore the whispering women when she caught a glimpse of the King's gaze upon her. "Your father is staring." she whispered to him softly.

Indeed, his father was observing them. "Don't mind him. He does this with every woman I dance with," Althalos whispered back. "You are the first that I danced with without reluctance. Perhaps he is trying to find out why." There were many women who some might say were prettier than Lynora (though it's not to say she herself wasn't attractive), so it was not that the girl had a heavenly beauty of sorts. If only others looked at the mind as well, then they would understand

Lynora smiled softly. "He's not the only one." She said in a low voice but she tried to not think of all the reasons why he shouldn't be with her. She was kind of glad when the dance was over, even if it was a short dance. "Well...thank you for the dance.." she said with a little blush.

Althalos bowed slightly, as was per custom. "I hope you had enjoyed it," he simply replied. Now, he figured it was best to leave before some girl decided to ask him for a dance. It would be rude to refuse, so he needed to avoid the next request as soon as possible. "Would you like to return ti your room now? You are free to stay longer, if you wish."

Lynora nodded. "I think that's best, I'm pretty tired as it is." she said softly, but with so many people here, and half of them jealous of her, she wasn't sure if she should be going to her room alone. "W-will you....walk me there?" she asked cautiously, hoping he would say yes.

Althalos was only too happy to oblige. "I needed an excuse to leave, anyhow," he said softly as he held out his arm for her to take. Once she took it, he escorted her out of the ballroom. "Not too shabby for your first ball, wouldn't you say?" The room was far off, so they may as well begin another conversation.

Lynora took his arm almost immediately, holding onto it a little tighter than before at least until they were out of the ballroom. "Yes it wasn't too bad for a ball. It's much more boring than I'm used to, but I didn't want to complain in front of your father." she said softly.

"Balls are indeed very dull. Perhaps we can dress as commoners and go to one of their gatherings," Althalos suggested. "The commoners are much more lively. They enjoy life and care not about reputations, at least during festivals. I have always wanted to join one of their festivals." The music was also quicker and the dances consisted of more than the aristocratic walking.

"That sounds nice." she said softly. They soon came to a stop in front of a door and Lynora wondered where they were at first, but then remembered where they were going to begin with. "I guess I should get some sleep." she said quietly, opening the door and staring inside the room for a few minutes. "Good night."

"Good night." Althalos waited for the door to shut before he decided to go to his own room. It was time to ponder over the events of the day. It was certainly interesting, though he couldn't help wondering if this was all some odd dream. One could not think it possible to travel through time, so why was Lynora here? As far as he could recall, even witches and warlocks could not go through time. This was very odd indeed.

Lynora sighed heavily when the door was shut, but she wasn't about to go to sleep just yet. She needed to find Sreda, if there was any hope of her returning to her home it would be through those people she met. Maybe she didn't need Sreda, maybe she just needed to talk to Carac in the dungeons. Surely he'd be able to tell her if there was something they could do about it. Lynora took off her gloves and set them on her bed, heading down the halls until she found the door that led to the dungeons, managing to get past the guard.

Carac was in the midst of humming some tune to keep himself entertained. Sreda had fallen asleep on the other side of the bars and he had no one to talk to. In the darkness, he suddenly noticed somebody coming toward his cell. It appeared to be a noblewoman with very long blonde hair. "If you're lost, ma'am, the ball isn't this way," he said with irritation.

Lynora couldn't help but to smile, was she really that unrecognizable in this dress? She approached the cell and placed her hands on the bars. "Carac it's me, Lynora. I needed to ask you a question. I've figured out that I must be in the wrong time period. See I think I was sent back in time by an enchanted necklace. Do you know someone who is powerful enough to have placed that kind of enchantment?" She hoped Carac would know the answer to that question, she needed to get back to her own time period.

Carac's annoyed expression was quickly replaced by a small and shy smile when Lynora identified herself. "Oh, Miss Lynora, I didn't recognize you," he said, and then he was shocked by the news of her apparent time travel, though it would explain her behavior and appearance when she first appeared. "Wrong time period, you say? By an enchanted necklace? What kind of idiot enchants a necklace with such forbidden spells?" he wondered more to himself than to anyone else. "I'm sorry, Miss Lynora, but I don't know anyone who has enough power to use time spells of any sort. They're so old and forbidden that just about all knowledge of how to use them are lost."

Lynora couldn't believe her ears, she collapsed to her knees while gripping the bars loosely. "So.....I guess that means....you don't know how to send me back huh?" She asked hopelessly, how was she going to get back home if nobody knew how?
