Meep's large ears shifted through his messy pony tail. He turned around and spotted the cloaked male on the ground. He went over to him, his tail swaying lazily behind him. "You okay there, buddy?" He squatted as he held a hand out to Taranis to help him up. "I didn't hear any bones break, so that's a plus. Ya gotta be careful where ya step." His own feet were bigger then the dragon boy's, sharp dark brown claws poking out of them as he moved. His nose twitched and he raised a brow, this boy reminded him of his nephew, at least he kinda smelled like him.

Tarin felt like an idiot having stepped in that hole and fallen. Here now came the larger and taller person, bending down and extending a hand to help Tarin get up. The boy looked up into his face, trying hard not to be afraid, and show this person that he was thankful for his help. So, shakily, he accepted his hand, and would allow himself to be pulled up. He tried to put his left foot down on the ground, but it hurt to do so, so he decided not to put much weight on it. He'd then say,
"Thank you for helping me. My name is Tarin. What's yours?" It was a simple enough question, and one that was almost always asked when you met someone new. Taranis hadn't payed attention until too late, to the fact that his hood was down, revealing his whole head and face. He didn't want many people to know who he was, in case the mages were looking for information on his whereabouts. Now though, he had no choice but to let his hood stay down. The boy was quiet for now, looking up at the gargantuan friendly creature, wondering what he was and not just his name.
Meep smiled, showing his fang filled mouth when he did. "Call me Meep. Even my kids do when they don't call me mama." He chuckled and looked at the boy's features. After a moment he nodded. "I thought so. You smell like my nephew. He's a half dragon. Good kid too, though he takes too much after his good for nothing father." He rolled his pink and red eyes at the thought of the glutton dragon. He then noticed how Taranis wasn't putting much weight on his foot. "Need a hand? It should be fine after a bit, nothing to serious from what I could see and hear. If you want, I can bandage it up for ya."

(( Sorry about that. Prince Basket has returned ! Heh. ))
Draugur wasn't paying too much attention, he became lost in thought on where to take Meep. He wasn't the best tour guide, and he never truly knew what was interesting. He snapped out of it when he heard the little yelp. "Wha ?" He asked, turning around to see Meep helping up a newcomer. Draugur has seen a lot of things, but surprisingly enough, not a dragon boy. Curiously he hovered over to the youngen, checking him out. "Oh cool, are those scales ?" He asked, pretty close to the kid's face. "My apologies, I shouldn't have gotten so close." He floated back a bit, remembering people did like their personal space. The demon ghost began to regret his question, in case the kid didn't want attention to them. He quickly tried to change the topic, "So your name is Tarin ? That's a neat name," he held out his giant hand, "I'm Draugur, pleasure to meet you." He flashed the kid an assuring smile, trying to let the boy know he had nothing to fear here. He assumed the boy was new to Janhall, "Erm, you're new right ? Well I was just going to show Meep here around. You're free to tag along."
The blue and black dragon kid with his red eyes listened to Meep, trying to relax himself, thinking, 'If this guy was my enemy, he could have snapped me like a twig already, and he surely wouldn't be offering to help me with anything....ow he's talking about relatives?....what? His nephew is part dragon? Weird....', Tarin thought to himself as he continued to listen. Listening to the gargantuan demon, the boy tried to smile a little bit, though he still felt horribly nervous.
'Relax Tarin. This man is friendly. He probably hates humans too or something, so he'd probably help you fight them if they came.', Taranis' conscious said to him. The boy felt the best thing to do might be to let the demon help him. So, he'd nod, and say,
"It's nice of you. Yes, please help me with my foot."
Just then however, Tarin would begin to get the creeps again, as the purple demon came up to him, hovering over him, asking about his scales. It was safe to say Taranis didn't say anything back, but like he had done with Meep, he'd listen to Draugur and study his tone of voice, and how he presented himself through body language. No red flags came up, nothing he should really be cautious about, so Tarin allowed himself to relax again, really trying hard not to get panicked.
"Nice...to meet you too Draugur..and alright. I guess I can limp around until my foot feels better.", he said with displeasure. He could do it and he would. Maybe there was just an uncomfortable kink in his foot and it wasn't really sprained! That'd be nice, especially if he'd have to run away from something.

Meep plopped down on the ground and carefully lifted the dragon male's foot up. His hands were soft and warm thanks to the fur that covered them. He then looked down at his shadow, tapping it. "Oi! I need those bandaged you keep in there. Hand them over." A single white dot appeared in the shadow then vanished after a minute. Meep frowned and reached down into the shadow, going up to his elbow. "Come on, stop being a jerk already. They seem safe enough, ya dork." A roll of bandages came flying out of his shadow, smacking him in the forehead. "That was uncalled for... no hunting for a week for that...." He sighed and went to work in bandaging the dragon boy's foot. Like when Draugur had met him, he started to soft purr, a thing he did often without thinking.

He saw the boy tense up before relaxing, that was a good sign to Draugur. "Nonsense," The ghost said, "I'm pretty sure Meep will carry you, or I will. It'd be no problem." He flashed a smile to the dragon kid. Draugur was trying to be helpful, hopefully he wasn't coming off as a creep. That wouldn't be good. Draugur chuckled when Meep fought with his shadow, it was humourous. "Having trouble there, eh ?" He asked Meep, at he patted the man's head. He realized he was purring again. In an odd way, it was surprisingly calming. Draugur floated over to the kid again, hesitantly patting Tarin on the head. "No need to be so frightened, we're not going to hurt you." He assured the boy, hoping to make Tarin more comfortable. Tarin seemed fidgety, he didn't know why, but he knew it was Tarin's business and wouldn't ask of it. He kept out of others business.

Meep chuckled himself and nodded. "Yeah. SC is being a pain cause he doesn't think this place is safe for me. But he thinks that about everywhere. It's his job to make sure I'm safe, so it's no big deal. And he wont come out cause it's too bright to him." He finished wrapping up the dragon's foot and smiled. "There. All done, kiddo. That should make you feel better."
The dragon boy was trying to be really brave. Meep and Draugur seemed to be nice, good people, and neither of them were humans, so this made things all the more easier for Tarin as well. He had thus held his foot out like the giant person had asked him to do, allowing Meep to wrap his sore ankle in a bandage. The boy smiled sheepishly towards him as he did so, his foot shaking out of habit. He hated displaying such weakness in front of strangers, but it seemed like he couldn't help it. He'd been through a lot of things that kids shouldn't have to go through, no matter what your species.
After his foot was done being bandaged, the boy put his foot down on the ground, and he tried walking on it. The cushioning made it easier. He looked then to Meep and said pleasantly, "Thank you so much, and yes I'd like to go with you to see the city." He said. He had a good feeling he'd be safe with these two, no matter what happened.

"Ay, ma nom be Ja'kob." The imp responded while scratching beneath his dread. "I honestly gettin' tired of dis scene. Ya look like spry lookin' 'oman. Wanna 'ave a friendly lil' race? Mah legs be feelin' a wee bit stiff an' I need da exercise." Ja'kob swung his arms in circles before crouching and letting the bones in knees and feet pop loudly. He was completely oblivious to how Yumi might react to his offer. A race, from a complete stranger? Why would anyone agree to that? It didn't stop the imp. The night was young, and he was bored.
(( Any place specific you guys wanna go ? Obviously can't explore Janhall in the park. ))
Draugur smiled, he was glad to see the little dragon was feeling better. "Uh, I'll warn you two now, but I'm still learning the area myself and we might get lost. Heh.." He had no hope in his navigational skills. He just wondered around until he found something interesting to him, and then would forget where it was. "Hm. I'm still unsure on where to take you guys, Oh, beware, the walkways are usually packed with people." He warned. He never bothered to move out of the way, he'd usually just phase through them. It was easier for him. "Follow me I guess." He rubbed the back of his head, his other arm dragging on the floor. Draugur wondered off towards the town.

Meep got up and chuckled as he spoke. "Yeah, I can find my way by smell and by using my shadows." He looked to the dragon boy then back to Draugur. "Anywhere that isn't too small. I don't like small places..."
It seemed to Tarin that Draugur might be a little skeptical of his way around here. He had mentioned it would be very crowded in the streets too, which Tarin really didn't like the sound of. He just knew if they were packed around tons of people, he'd feel sick. He wished that Draugur and Meep had wings to fly with like Tarin did, to get away from the crowds, and also the city from up high. However, he was still wondering if the white-coats might be trying to find him. If any of them were in this city looking for him, flying was a bad idea. That was one of the reasons he was wearing this cloak, to not only cover his head, but his back.
As for where he'd like to go...Tarin had no clue, but he guessed anywhere where he'd likely find out more information about this place. Maybe it's important buildings, like the school and such. So, the young dragon responded to Draugur,
"How about the high school, and the library? Anywhere where I can learn more. Oh...", and he thought, noticing he was hungry, "How about a place to eat?" As for what Meep said about small spaces, Tarin totally agreed there too. Small places would only make the boy sick.

Basket Case Insanity
Matt Alfen
"How troublesome." Matt muttered with a light sigh. He had once again come to another earth that was similar to one he had come to in the past, heck the whole thing with Lily was practically the same. But, this time his role became a 'High School transfer student' it seemed. It wasn't the first time his role was a student, so he figured that this world was also not his. He wandered through the park in thought before sitting on a nearby bench and crossing on leg over the other while pulling out a strange marble-item that one with an affinity with magic could tell it was radiating in magic power. "Though, I'm curious to what this is, since it wasn't in that world." He muttered to himself, not even caring how he could easily hurt the emotions of others to get what he wants, but that wasn't his problem and he mostly acted on interest or his 'role' in each world. He spent his time silent as he leaned back on the bench and looked the marble in hand between his index finger and thumb.
The little witch was still wandering around, having no idea where she could be until approaching the Main Park. "Hn. Now I'm getting further away from my destination.." The girl said to herself, letting out a sigh. She was beginning to grow angry, everyone was too busy to take time to answer her simple question. All she was doing was trying to get back home. Jynx looked around, didn't seem to be a person in sight until she discovered a boy sitting on the bench. "Maybe he could help me.." She walked over to him, noticing he was examining a little marble between his fingers. Eh ? A magic marble ? The witch crossed her arms, "What is that ?" Jynx asked, tilting her head to the side with a bit of a frown upon her face.
