Joe scratched the back of his head and chuckled a bit. "I can't complain, life's been pretty good. Been working at the hospital for the past few years. Spend a bit too much time in the pediatrics ward than I should though, heh."

Rabid twitched slightly. A life-saver. Ych...
"Well, congrats," she smiled and moved off to her table without excusing herself, continuing to translate some odd Vavvian religious text.
"Ignore her. She's currently human."
"Currently."
Poe suddenly came hurtling out from under the couch and ran full-speed into Joe's legs. It took him a moment to recover before he leaped up and attempted in vain to reach the man's face.
"AWK!"

"What in blue blazes?!" Joe screamed in surprise as the small "creature" attempted to scramble up his body.

Joe recomposed himself. "Well, I can understand why he would mistake me for such a thing," he said while ruffling his hair and laughing a bit. "So how did you come across that little bugger?" He asked.

"Uh...Rabid and Ike brought him home in a bag one day," Liam shrugged, "That's how we come across most things around here."
"Myself included."

"But... BUT HOW IN THE.." Joe felt himself suddenly lose balance. His eyesight began to dim and blur. "Oh... this can't be go..." Was all he managed to say before falling straight forward, blacking out.

Part Fifteen
Rabid sat atop the railing to the bridge, kicking her feet and singing a rather old song by some composer she'd never actually heard of.
Ike played the accompaniment on his violin, eyes closed and ears perked to their full height. He loved his Mummy's voice...

The sound of Kyo's shoes thundered against the bridge, along side the sound of a violin playing in the somber air, it was quite relaxing really. Kyo held his hands behind his head all the while whistling along with the tune.

Rabid was the first to hear the whistling. She blushed a deep crimson and went completely silent, turned toward the man approaching.
Disgruntled, Ike ceased his playing.
"Mum...why'd y--"
He also began watching the visitor.
