Maple's blush could only intensify as AJ brushed his fingers through her hair, noticing the little clips that she had placed in by the sides of her horns. At the mention of a friend, her eyes widened for a moment before sliding to where the fire ghoul sat. "O-oh! Th-that's Alecto," the witch replied, still meekly. "Sh-she h-helped m-me when I w-was l-lost on one of m-my f-first d-days here..." And was still blushing about the moment of embarrassment there, but Alecto had been very nice about it; even with the encounter with the other selves.
"I've b-been... d-decent," was all she could muster as a response before class seemed to officially begin. Maple was a little surprised to see that one reaper she had met at the House Cup aiding in the class, and helping with the prep work they were supposed to take part in. Honestly, she didn't have any idea how the ovens of Amity worked either - the one at home was simply with wood - and kind of found herself staring (at a safe distance) at the small dragon that occupied the one she had found herself at (near AJ, because she could only imagine things would go wrong, and hopefully he would come to her rescue ;A; )
Like this. Getting everything lit. Could go oh so horribly wrong and Maple tenses herself up for the inevitable, and threw in a couple pieces of candy (With a dire little squeak, ready to just sort of dine into AJ if things went wrong). But amazingly, she actually managed to get it to work! Properly! With no back fires or anything! Thank Hecate! crying meegane if anything goes wrong, be prepared for Maple clinging

Rosy gave a small wave to her brother before she listens to the professor at the front of the class. Arching a brow, she shrugs as she does as she was told. This didn't look to hard really, all she had to do was feed the dragon, and get the right temperature.
Boy was she wrong.
Shaking her head, she glares at the oven.
Why couldn't it place nice nice with her? This was suppose to be a joyful class, right?

Hecate did Rosy keep trying, but the dragon in her oven refused to play nice with her. Trying not to growl, she closes her eyes as she calms herself. She refused to be out done by a dragon. These spookies were going to be for someone special, and she wanted them to be perfect.

Rosy just sat for a moment, starting to not like this joyful mess she walked into. She didn't like being outwitted by a dragon, not one bit. With a small sigh, she pitched the bridge of her nose for a moment. maybe she should just take a moment to recollect herself.
Then she would try to play nice nice as best as she could to the dragon.
Or she had a feel she was gonna end up in serious trouble here shortly.

After sitting back and glancing around to see how the other students were doing, Rosy turns her red eyes back towards the oven before her. Very gently, she pressed the button. Her eyes watching the thermometer, not once blinking. As it grew closer to the temperature she was looking for , she actually started to chew on her lip.
At one hundred and seventy five degrees, she quickly pulls her hand away from the button. With a small smile, she crossed her arms under her chest.
Finally, she got it done.Dragain Not on first time, but got it done.

"I will have you know-" Gabby was leaning forward, looming up against Efflo in a way that promised dangerous consequences, when the professor decided to start the class. He hushed up, if only to get at a chance to eat that cookie. Oh, hell, now she was on fire. The smell of gingerbread was filling the air. Gabby's misty stomach growled. Lighting a fire in an oven with a dragon was unfair in both directions, for Gabby. He made an easy connection with the dragon inside, but it still spouted flame, since that was the desired effect.. and Gabby felt like he could melt just being near it. So he fed the dragon candy quickly, and set the temperature, watching it rise up perfectly. Perfect. As usual. Dragain got it on the first roll, also hi <3

It took a while for Edel to make her second attempt at starting up the oven, this time armed with a 10 foot pole of ice that was first used to prod the reset button for the temperature. A hook was sculpted onto the end of the pole, which the ghoul then used to pull the oven door open. Small embers were coming out from the oven, which meant that this had to be done quickly. A candy cane was tied to the foot of a small pigeon ice sculpture, which flew into the over kamikaze style, evaporating into a burst of steam.
The dragon inside looked thoroughly annoyed, staring at the frost demon for a good 5 minutes. Judging her. The candy cane offering was accepted nonetheless, and soon the oven burst into flame, hitting the right temperature. The oven door was shut with the quickly disintegrating pole, leaving Edel still standing ten feet away from the oven, looking rather relieved but still very distressed about it all.

Ithildin didn't get much of a reply beyond a continued sad pout. The dragon really didn't mean any harm. Really. Still, at the request of a bandage he quickly started to glancing around, trying to spot one, and only had enough time to helplessly point at their teacher. She probably had something for things like this, right? Because unless the ghoul wanted his scarf, which he wouldn't have minded sacrificing, he didn't have anything to use as a bandage. Alas, he didn't get beyond that before he was grabbed over by another student from behind who spoke up to him.
This one, at least, seemed to agree with him about the dragon's though. The boil certainly seemed older and did earn a smile though. "Vereh!" The dragons were adorable and certainly friendly if you knew how to handle them. At least some of the other students understood? They were just a bit spooked from being cooped up in the ovens for a bit too long, that had to be it. As for the cutie comment, it seemed to go entirely over the boil's head. Or he just didn't care. Likely the latter. Still, he did manage a bounce at the whole topic. At least some of the other students liked them, it was a plus. "Et jahs wahntehd frens!" He added, nodding a bit. And candy, it seemed to like the treat as well, but mostly it seemed a bit lonely all cooped up in a cag- oven like that.Prismatic Ferret Teacher has a bandaid maybe? Hel never fail to impress him, every time he met she, she will bring laughter to him, such an entertaining ghoul. " Haha, that's my pleasure to hear that, baking is fun. Those frost sugar cookies? Er - I can't guarantee, this's my first time to use a dragon oven, but I will try my best. After all, I promised the dragon to give it a few, wish me good luck." He giggled, maybe what Hel said was a golden rule. As the assistance of Jubilee, she was really doing her job, checking if others had problems with their ovens. Seeing she talked to the duo, AJ asked if they were her friends. Rule no. 1: Friend of a friend will be your friend. Turning to Jubilee, AJ gave her a smile, " It's okay, thank you so much for taking it into consideration. They are too cute to resist, such a cute little thing." He shrugged to show he seemed to be helpless of resisting the urge of taking them home. It will be perfect for his small oven. No one will doubt that dragon actually had good hearing, so her conversation with Hel only pushed herself closer to the cliff. Head who was staring at the gingerbread lady, now began to drool when it heard that she would produce gum drops. Poor Jubilee didn't notice that a head was planning to make her cry. Still grabbing the puppy boil in his bosom, he beamed when hearing what Maple said. " Oh, that's so nice of her, I am happy that you got such a good friend." Maybe he should find some time and visit the tall ghoul one day, with treats. It was so happy that the little witch had met such a good friend. Decent huh? It was rare to hear that the ghoul not using an negative adjective in her comment, so he beamed even brighter, so delighted for Maple. " That's great! Oh by the way, aren't these ovens interesting? Dragons are sentiment creatures, you treat them nicely, it will treat you nicely, so no need to be afraid." Seeing how the little witch stared at her oven, AJ commented. When she managed to preheat at her first trial, AJ gave her a clap. " See what I mean, well done, Maple." He leisurely rested his head onto Aki's head, so great to have a fluffy cutie within his arms. Thankfully class began before Gabby could make good on his threat, though as the teacher explained their task, it was certainly out of the frying pan and into the fire, quite literally.
Efflo watched as Gabby quickly lit his, seemingly having a way with his smaller oven dwelling brethren. Efflo, on the other hand, stared at the oven with a mix of perplexity and horror. Dragons were known to bite (a fact he knew all too well) and to top it all off, this one had the added advantage of fire. Being undead, Efflo wasn’t really inclined to get any closer than a few feet and he tried to lob a candy inside.
It managed to make it in, but the small crackle of flame wasn’t nearly enough to light the oven.

Keeping a safe distance, he tossed a few more candies to the oven dragon as it tried to peek its head outside, hoping to keep it pacified with the sweets. Aside from the piece of candy that knocked it upside the head, and earned Efflo a menacing growl, the rest were caught with ease, sliding down the creature’s belly with a gurgle. The resulting belch lit the oven, flames roaring. Efflo was still standing back a few feet, and inched closer towards Gabby, as though he might use him as a shield…

At seeing his friend immediately brighten up, Jove had a feeling all would be well in the world. His tail wagged much more enthusiastically, and nodded. He definitely wanted to bake spookies! And he had no doubt Helmut was also interested. Sure she might eat all sorts of things, but why eat other things when you could eat spookies? He quickly found his own oven, and pulled it open to reveal a rather fat little thing. Jove eyed it suspiciously. He had never quite figured out how to take care of dragons... And feeding dragons could only remind him of a certain fish-loving idiot dragon. He grudgingly gave the little oven-dragon some candy, and the glutton snapped it up with much eagerness. Definitely like a certain fish-loving idiot dragon. It huffed up in a great hurry, glowing and spouting smoke with way too much eagerness. Ears flattening against the back of his head, Jove pressed the reset button. :<

Once the dragon had cooled down, and was giving the pup huge wanton eyes, Jove picked up another candy. Maybe he had tossed in too much, he didn't want to end up breaking his dragon. Too much excitement, and he was sure it's head would explode into happy fireworks or something with the way it eyed him.
He glanced over at Mathias, who had already achieved the right temperature, and felt a sense of awe creep over him. That was some skill. The wolpertinger must have made spookies before, or at least handled dragons sometime in the past!
He turned back to the dragon and slowly fed it some candy. The thing gobbled it up so fast, it was almost nipping at Jove's fingers to get some more. It was a good thing the little ghost was not afraid of the heat! He rolled his sleeves up and continued feeding the little dragon. The temperature rose... Then the creature belched loudly, and after the wave of hot air dissipated the oven immediately cooled right back down.
Jove pressed the reset button.

Jove wanted to put up his hand, his dragon was clearly broken. But after another glance at his oh-so-successful friend, he frowned with determination. No, he would get this oven lit!
The pup stared at his dragon intently, and then tossed it a candycane. The creature lunged forward and snatched the candy out of midair, and eagerly paced in it's small ovenspace as it waited for more candy. Jove stared at it. Make fire. Light that oven.
Finally deciding there was no more candy forthcoming, the little dragon curled up to sleep.
Jove leapt half into the oven himself to poke the creature back to wakeful confusion. Then he pressed the reset button.

Jove tried another tactic this time, tossing a couple heaping handfuls of candy into the oven so his sleepy, gluttonous creature had something to get excited about. It gobbled up piece after piece, practically licking the walls of it's enclosure with a hot tongue to make sure it got everything. It started to smoke.
Jove added some more candy, his tail wagging. Now maybe they were getting somewhere! He could see the heat rising off the creature, and more smoke curled out of it's scraggly jaws...
And then it let loose a phenomenal gout of flame that would have lit the oven perfectly had it not been facing Jove at the time.
The puppy ducked, and once the flames were clear, he pressed the reset button.
