Sepheran had missed the first round, and felt absolutely horrid about that. He wanted to support his fellow Monsters and he was not about to leave them hanging again. Rope in hand he pulled as hard as he could, unfortunately his footing wasn't as great as it could have been and he lost a good amount of his strength. But it was better than nothing...right? Olivia's eyes seemed to obtain a little extra glow when she overheard the announcement that their dorm was still in the running, and doing rather well as well. Her lips curled a little more as she let out a small little 'yay!' and tightened her grip on the rope to give it another pull.

Okay, maybe for a little bit she was actually proud of the fact they were still in this (more of her dorm's efforts really than her own). But Maple still kind of didn't want to be going this, it was exhausting and it hurt too. Malodore had lost its footing in the first round, and not helped very much at all as it was too tangled up - but now it was going to tug with a vengeance. Or something. Not that it was very strong. Welp, some creeply were out, but they certainly weren't. With a few dorms toppled it was time to do her best again.

Round 2 and Monsters were still IN IT TO WIN IT! Or at least that's how Tanita felt. When the signal to begin again came, Tanita snatched up her section of rope and began to tug, hard. She found herself pleased to find she felt even more secure in her grip this time, having it really slip only once or twice in her section. She was determined to give it her all. Perhaps a bit too determined, at least from the perspective of an outsider. She was so focused, so determined, smoke was coming out of her nostrils as her internal fire got pumped and excited along with her. She grinned wide, and some of the smoke seeped out her lips too. She was a short thing, barely five feet tall and all moxy. Moxy was a kind word for her rage filled sputtering, lips curled back in a cruel and blind snarl.
Literally blind.
There was mud in her eyes and her hands were raw, but still she would pull and pull and pull, not for any sort of strange displaced pride in being a monster, but her own self respect.
She wistfully hoped to one day squash all these losers in her natural form, but until then, she'd just have to suffer hopefully winning a tug of war contest.

Thezil wasn't quite sure what he was doing, here, as mud was getting all into the grooves of his skellyvision's dials, and that was just uncool. He wrapped his mismatching hands around the ropes and pulled, digging his bare toes into the mud. The poor, unfortunate nearby souls would be subjected to the whine of a tuning skellyvision, with some additional static. Sorry, boils and ghouls, except not really.
