Maple wore a rather disappointed look on her face when she realized it wouldn't be so easy to visit one of her few friends, so she had ventured away from the food area (maybe to some back later? Held onto a little bit of hope?) and was ready to exit the booth all together to see what else the others had when a new game appeared.
The with blinked and looked at it for a moment and then at the few others who were trying their hand at it before she walked up to the new game to try her luck. And well, she was going to be able to hit gnomes, whom had begun to be just an annoyance to the ghoul; so any moments of feeling bad were simply dashed away as she managed to smack a few of them with the mallet. Made her feel better a little, and she actually managed to win something.
It was then she got the text from AJ, and promptly replied to it.

Kari saw a new game was going on, but she wanted to try the taste testing first...
A winged demon ghoul stepped up this time. Hopefully, her dish wouldn't turn Kari's stomach.

Eyeing the cake placed in front of her, she carefully took a bite. As she expected, she felt something crunchy within. Trying to distract the ghoul, Kari hastily got rid of the cake, leaving only an empty plate. Stepping up to the Scare Room, she was surprised to see a clear path straight to the bed... was there some sort of trick? It was never that easy!
As Kari walked across the room, she was becoming more and more dumbfounded at her luck. She'd made it to the bed with no resistance at all!

Once the regular games were done, it was time to check out the new game... which looked to be called Whack-A-Arel. Picking up the mallet, Kari decided to give it a shot... Deciding to give it one more shot, Kari took her play in front of the container holding the gnomes...
Guess her lucky streak was starting to break since she only managed to get two gnomes this time. She wanted to go another round... she could do better!

"Edel!" Muka couldn't help but pull the ice demon into a hug. He was definitely more bearded and (still) heavier than she'd last seen him.. but it only made him more huggable! "I hope you are.. heh.. well!"

Kari stared at the dish that was placed in front of her for a moment... it looked raw.
"Uh", she wanted to find an excuse not to eat the concoction, but nothing sprung to mind until...
"Ah!" she gasped, jumping up, "I heard my name... sorry, I'll try it some other time!"
Getting far enough away to duck behind one of the other stalls, it looked like her excuse had worked. She was safe for another day.
