Herald watched Atticus arc over the barrier before landing on the other side into a pool of toxic liquid. He heard Atticus mutter something but couldn't quite make out what it was. Herald was about to jump on top of the barrier to come to Atticus and continue the fight, but Atticus obliged him first. Herald tracked him as he came around the barrier, preparing for his thrust. He raised his hand and pointed at Atticus. Suddenly the green streamers of energy behind him raced around him and straight towards Atticus. Contact with them, like always, would cause severe burns. Regardless of whether or not the attack hit Atticus, Herald would use the distraction to launch himself into the sky. As he arced over Atticus, he looked down at him, breathing a continuous stream of flames until he landed, finishing up his attack by racing forward and attempting to claw Atticus straight across the torso.
As he made his way towards Herald, Atticus watched as he released more streams of green energy at him, while launching himself up into the sky. Atticus would focus on the energy streams first, positioning his blade diagonally in front of him, Atticus blocked one the streams and redirected it towards another, while dodging the rest. Having dealt with them, Atticus turned back in time to see Herald unleash a stream of flames from his mouth, before landing on the ground and coming in to land the finishing blow. Dealing with the stream would be easy for Atticus, as he would release a black energy stream of his own, to counter Herald's, while he ran in and blocked the beast's claw, with his sword, locking the two in place. As the met once more, face to face, Atticus found himself thinking more and more about their past and their friendship, "I thought of you as one my closest friends. To me, you and Eric were like brothers, both in arms and in blood." Atticus would finally admit, before moving his sword to the left, which should push Herald's claw to the left. Should that happen, Atticus would take that chance to jump back and put distance between them. Grabbing his chest, Atticus fell to one knee, it seems that the toxic that entered his body was starting to take hold of him. Now, would be the perfect chance for Herald to strike and end the battle.
Eric watched Atticus return to his assault and Herald launch a much more brutal counterattack. "Yeah...Herald's pushing things forward as fast as he can now. He knows he can't stay in this place for long. He either has to win or move the battle again..." The Reaver looked at Eric and nodded. "It's what I'd- wait..." He looked back towards Atticus and Herald, then at Emma. "Did Atticus just refer to you as Herald's "beloved"?" No way..." He looked over at Ellise, a big grin on his face. "No WAY! Hahahaha! Ellise! I'm freakin shacking up with you in this reality!" The Reaver burst out laughing, catching himself as he almost fell over. "This is too much!" He said through his laughter. "I can't take it!" Eric put his hand over his mouth to hide his expression as he did his best to focus on the battle, imagining what his own reaction would be if they had switched places.

☽ Shira watched Atticus and cringed as he landed in the toxic liquid. After he looked at her and spoke, she gave him a sad expression before the fight continued. She felt her stomach turn as Atticus suddenly stopped fighting, most likely from the toxic liquid as well as the many injuries he sustained. "Get up!" she shouted without really even thinking about it. She stepped forward, wanting to run over but Emma's barrier was preventing that. It was for the sake of the group that they stay in the barrier or else they could be infected by the toxins surrounding them or get injured by one of them. Emma's gaze was locked on Herald now, waiting to see what he would do. She did her best to blow off Reaver. Ellise was a bit surprised by this as well. "Crap... he is going to bother me even more with this new bit of info..." she muttered. "Shut it. This is no time to be talking so casually." she told him before looking at Umbra then the fight. ☾
UMBRA ___________________________________________________________ Umbra noticed how Atticus fell on his knee and how Shira was about to leave the barrier but unable to, Umbra was quiet for the most part even when Reaver was laughing about this worlds version of him was dating her version. "it would seem..this fight will finish soon..whether or not the outcome is what we see or not" he said simply before returning to silence ___________________________________________________________ Death
+ Null Zone: with his powers Umbra can great a zone that nulls all abilities this Zone is revealed by a black aura that covers the ground, it must connect to Umbra of course, when he does this it basically surrounds him, if anyone moves into this zone they are rendered unable to use powers, weapons can stay in their forms, but cant activate anything, miesters are stuck only with their weapons, Black Blood and madness seem to shrink down as if they were disappearing, but of course they are not, the only down fall of this ability is that when using this, he can not use any of his powers, since he is in the zone constantly when activated he must rely on his blades to defend himself,(those who are outside the zone can use magic and magic can go through the zone as long as the caster isn't touching inside the zone. another flaw is that this zone can only reach 40 feet around him. (this is meant to make people actually fight him and not..well use their advantage of powers..we can say its the one ability to make everyone almost Human lol) + Wings of Death: as one would see he has wings which seem very faded yet when looked closely seem like they are simply ghostly bones, but in fact is a death aura that is used to help Umbra move faster, this also allows him to levitate around, really despite being an death aura it doesn't hurt anyone rather if people try to attack it they will miss because it will go through as if it was mist. + Curse of the Heavens:this ability is more of a curse hence the name, it can not affect others because this curse is upon Umbra, this explains mostly of who Umbra is, because this is the whole reason behind why his memory is missing before he became a kishin. This Curse is one of the worst curses one could have because what it does is create utter emptiness within the reciprocate, Umbra, with this emptiness ones face will begin to disappear, and eventually nothing will appear, this will lead to many wearing a hood, this hood is the only thing left to hide the nothingness, as its own darkness f the shadow hides the reality of this part, not only will it do this, ones memory will begin to fade until nothing is left, ones memory is sealed away only to be released upon death. the third fault of this curse is that ones voice because a challenge, the voice is completely destroyed but at times a deep echoed voice will take the place of words, but even then it is rare to hear. + Blades of the Heavens: Umbra wields two weapons both of which are exactly alike, when he is fighting, can change the blades to two different elements, Darkness and light. when consumed by Darkness, the blades become Black even the actual blade part, they act the same way but in truth these blades allow Umbra to swing much quicker and harder, making it sound for Offensive. while on the other hand, Umbra can turn them White these are seen as Defensive, they do not move as quick as the black blades, but rather have their own attribute to defend against magic, or abilities well, it cant negate the power but it can lessen the amount of the magic to a good degree. + Crosses of Diablo: as one would picture crosses being the symbol of heaven and good, but these are different, they are what would find hell. they are pure dark energy, rather its concentrated making it much stronger and more dangerous then normal darkness many could muster. Umbra can fire Crosses at enemies, they go in a straight shot, they are fired from the palms of Umbra, and seem to increase size as they move, + Scythe Blade Enraged Fusion Seal:Umbra using the two weapons as matched as they are can bring them together to create a circle, this Circle soon creates what is to be a energy field, as time continues with this circle, the energy field becomes darker,only to become a dark red color, this attack makes everything seem to shake as if an earthquake is happening all of the sudden. in Umbra's view the target must be within the circles view, when this all happens the dark red disappears and appears under the target with what seems like runes and words under them, soon to follow red light which will surround them, this entire event is meant to act like a seal, it can withstand an army of attacks, and has captured many enemies before, powerful enemies. Never Again...
Herald felt his claw moving left as Atticus parried him. "Everyone lets you down eventually," he told him in a rare moment of empathy. Once Atticus jumped away, Herald watched him silently, the ground around him burning with green flames. When Atticus fell to one knee, Herald began walking forwards, the ground melting around him until he stood over Atticus again. "The only difference between friends is which ones hate and which ones let go." Herald pulled his fist back. The green markings on his body began to shoot bright flames out of them. The green streams of energy whirled around Herald faster and faster until they were in a frenzy. He was putting a lot of power into this next attack. Too much... "THIS IS-" Herald let his fist fly forward, straight towards Atticus's chest. "THE END!!" Herald's fist slammed into Atticus's chest, but didn't stop. There wasn't even a slowing of movement before the fist tore straight through Atticus, exploding out of his back. Herald lifted Atticus off the ground and into the air with the swing, holding his dying body high. "Oh s**t! Herald!""Dammmmmnnnn." Atticus's body hung there for a moment before Herald lowered his arm, allowing it to slide off and onto the ground. He looked down at his blood-stained arm. "It is finished..." he said quietly.
Seeing Herald approach him and hearing Shira yell at him to get up, Atticus tried to stand up as quick as he could, but it seems that his body had already given up on him. As he tried to stand, his vision would blur and his legs give way, causing him to collapse forwards. It was too late, the toxic had seeped into his wounds and circulated through out his entire body and with the hour nearly up, Atticus would be the first to succumb to the poison. Laying on the ground, Atticus looked towards Shira and saw the worry on his face. He would frown then as he recalled the talk the two had, he would be letting her down and making her sad again. Atticus struggled to move, but he just couldn't. If that wasn't enough, his power had begun to decrease, his soul wavelength became faint. Hearing Herald's words to him, while feeling the incredible amount of power that he was building, Atticus knew what was about to happen. Using whatever bit of power he had left, Atticus made his way back to one knee, facing Herald face on and only able to watch as the beast tore through his chest with his flaming green fist, causing it to explode out of his back. As herald went on to lift his body in the air, Atticus was forced to stare into the beast's eyes, as his own became dull and lifeless. Sliding off of Herald's arm, Atticus' body hit the toxic ground with a hard thud, causing his blood to spill out everywhere and soak into the ground. With his breathing short, Atticus could only turn his head to the side, looking at Shira, as slowly but surely his pulse began to decrease and his breathing now completely gone. Atticus' last sight would be that of Shira as his eyes finally closed and his soul wavelength vanished completely. With that, it could only mean one thing, Atticus lived no more.
☽ Shira thought she was dreaming when she saw Herald brutally slay Atticus. It was all too real though. Even Emma cringed slightly as she watched Herald make the final blow. "Open the barrier." Shira said after a few moments of silence. Emma looked at her "I can't--" "Open it!" she snapped, suddenly slamming her fist into the barrier with enough energy to make it shiver slightly. Emma quickly grabbed her from behind and pulled her back "You can't! Those toxins could kill you and us!" Emma snapped as Shira struggled to get loose. Emma was a bit stronger than Shira so she wasn't getting far. All she could do was stay at the edge of the barrier and pound on it. "Atticus get up!" she shouted. Surprisingly, she wasn't crying yet. It could have been the shock of the whole thing temporarily just stunning her from even thinking about crying. "You can't just end it here! You promised me back home! You can't get my hopes up like that, damn you!" she shouted, her energy growing weaker to the point where she stopped struggling and slid on the ground, Emma still holding her from behind. "You are my partner! You are supposed to be stronger than that! Please get up! she begged. Emma watched Shira silently, just in shock about the whole thing and having no idea how to handle it. She just watched as Shira was crumbled over on the ground now in despair. Her gaze went to Herald then while she tried to silently comfort Shira as she continued to choke out words begging Atticus to suddenly come back to life. Ellise said nothing and watched as well, glancing away eventually. ☾
UMBRA ___________________________________________________________ Umbra looked to the two girls and sighed only to look at Ellise "the price of hatred and revenge...a perfect example of how it will spread to everyone around you..if you reveal it" he muttered looking back at atticus's body and herald. "shall i demonstrate what one would call condolences...by moving the body...to a more suitable place for your words" he offered not expecting any real answer , rather he expected some anger towards his words, but prayed he would not. he looked back at herald to see exactly what he would do now ___________________________________________________________ Death

Eric and The Reaver both watched the scene silently. It seemed Eric and Herald were not as different from The Reaver as he had thought. They both watched Shira freak out and Eric was about to intervene before Emma managed to pull her back. "Well that was one hell of a finish," The Reaver said, looking down at Atticus through the barrier. "That's why you don't take on someone who can easily kill you." Eric let out a slight sigh as he looked at Atticus's body. One one hand he did feel upset that Atticus was gone and wished he wasn't dead. On the other hand, he understood the honor of battle and the stakes of one so personal. He wouldn't offend Atticus by wishing he hadn't started the battle. This was a battle that had to be. At least it was finished now. He glanced over at Shira. There was nothing he could say to console her. The Reaver stepped towards the edge of the barrier. "Now that that's finished, let's get out of here before we die of the toxic air," he said.
Herald looked down at Atticus as he died, allowing him to have this last moment of peace at least. Once Atticus had finally faded, he turned to look at the group in the barrier. "He's dead," he told them simply. Was it an apology? A statement? A declaration of victory? Herald's face gave no hint.
Darkness. That was all that could be seen as Atticus' lifeless body laid on the ground, still bleeding, but it was clear that his soul no longer called that body home. As Shira cried out at him, begging him to stand up, Atticus wouldn't move an inch, for the first time in his life, Atticus would not stir after hearing Shira's words. No matter how much she begged and pleaded, this time, Atticus could not answer her calls, the young warrior had finally been slain, but is this how he wanted it to end. Atticus lived for battle and one day wished to die in a way suitable for a warrior and this was not it. Not on a battlefield full of rotting flesh and decayed remains. Where the air is filled with poisonous toxins and the ground saturated with hazardous waste. More importantly, he did not picture his end coming to him by Herald, the one person he had sworn to kill. As his body laid there, Atticus found himself surrounded in a world of darkness. Suddenly, two paths appeared before him, one adorned in golden lights led to a world filled with happiness and love, which branched off into hundreds of other similar paths, the other path was that of a single dirt road whose view was obscured by the darkness. "Am I supposed to choose?" he asked before looking over each path. "If so, then the answer is obvious." Any normal person would have chosen the path of light and ascended on to the afterlife, but not Atticus, he knew that he still had work to do. Choosing the path of darkness, the scene would fade away and be replaced with the real world, the world in which Atticus was dead.
As a few seconds passed, a dark aura would suddenly overtake the area, as the wind would change and become more fierce and violent. The already dark skies, darkened even further, almost as if the sun had been blocked out. With this sudden change in the climate, Atticus' body would be blow over so that it was laying on its back. Suddenly, a strange pulsing noise would be heard coming from the lifeless body. The pulsing grew faster and faster, as seconds passed by. Just then, Atticus' right index finger would twitch, followed by his entire hand. "I-i" his mouth started to say before his entire body began to twitch. "I-I-i". The mark on Atticus' chest seemed to react to all of this and completely enveloped the boy's body, encasing him in a shell of darkness. The shell increased and decreased in size, alongside the pulsing, the two were in-synch. The pulsing suddenly stopped and the shell would as well, "I won't" Atticus voice would say, coming from inside the shell. "I won't." he would say once more, but more fluently and a little deep. "I WON'T DIE!!!!!!!!!" Atticus shouted from within as the shell erupted into a large gunnel of dark energy, which shot up into the sky.
As the energy died down, black and purple flames manifested in the area where Atticus had last been seen and appearing from within those intense flames was not Atticus, but a demonic looking being. It had large bat-like wings, pale/white skin, black fur covered most of the body, its eyes an eerie white and a long pitchfork like tail. Flaring it's wings, the creature looked like it came straight from the pits of hell. Opening its mouth, the creature let out an ear-splitting shriek, which had enough energy in it to crack the barrier that the others were in. Looking around, the creature seemed to have been searching frantically for something or someone. Once it locked eyes on Herald, it would shriek once more, before vanishing with astonishing speed and appearing right behind the kishin. No longer hidden by the flames, the creatures full appearance was now visible for all to see. To those that knew of Atticus demonic blood and past, they would be able to recognize the creature instantly as the true form of the Demon King Atticus. Somehow, Atticus had been able to regain this power and as a result, was brought back to life. Raising its long slender hand, the creature would aim to pierce Herald in the abdomen.
☽ Emma continued staring at Herald for a moment or two before nodding and looking down at Shira. She couldn't say anything to help her. She had no right to. She shouldn't be trying to comfort her right now. She smelled something then and her ears twitched. She looked up then and stared at Atticus. Ellise noticed Emma and did the same, watching as Atticus suddenly began breathing again. Emma quickly tapped Shira but, because of her soul perception, Shira was already aware of what was going on. She watched as Atticus transformed into a new form then and began attacking. Part of her was very happy and relieved while the other was pretty worried seeing him like this. "That mark did this..." Ellise muttered. ☾

UMBRA ___________________________________________________________ Umbra looked back to the dead body only to see a large amount of dark energy "well...this world just got interesting" he muttered as he looked into the flames which were purple and black, when he looked a loud screech would be heard it was loud but Umbra acted as if no noise passed him "a cry...of both pain and anger" he muttered silently to himself, in truth it was a painful noise to listen to. as he looked at the flames he would soon see a disappearing figure, he then looked at herald who would soon be facing away from the creature. Umbra then looked at Ellise and her words "that mark?...what of that mark do you know Ellise"

Wow... Blake had since entered the barrier as the battle raged on. He'd been observing every turn of event up until Atticus's 'death' and revival with great focus. The point where he lost track of the fight was with Atticus stabbing Herald through the chest. He was somehow intrigued by his sudden transformation, wanting to observe a bit closer. Before he tried forcing his way through the barrier a thought came to mind. Without a word, Blake vanished from the rest of the group. [Exits]
